Badi Rani who is reality is Ranaji's step grandmother has her eyes set on the throne and wants to snatch the throne and experience the power that comes from the same.

If sources are to be believed Gayatri will confront Badi Rani about her wicked ways when the latter challenges that she will not allow Gayatri to be a part of Ranaji's life and definitely not the Queen of Amerkot.
