You're right lets think about the era and the expectations of and from a woman in that time. Gayatri is different her father bought her up like a son where as swarna was probably always taught to be a princess, and a perfect 1930s lady. Someone in a post sometime back said rightly that women were not expected to object to their husband in anyway post marriage. A woman wouldn't even look her husband in the eyes that's the era we are talking about. Not Every woman is gayatri and not Everyman is Rana. They are both visionary characters based on the era they live in. Forward thinkers where They believe in tradition but also standing up for human right and change for the betterment ..
Not Eveyone is as mature and pure in there intentions i.e the Kuwars.
Swarna is not to blame it is the culture that she is living in.. She needs Rana and gayatri more then ever right now!

'Every women (and man for that matter) is different' so it goes without saying,
she should take a stand but not everyone is strong. People learn and so would she with the help of Gayathri (i hope). But Swarna (i think) has no fault in this😕 so people saying she should have stopped him doesn't even come in the picture.

Although i believe in an alternative universe she should have killed him before he lay his fingers on her 😡😡😡

Blaming Swarna would be idiotic if one was following the show. Swarna is a sweet girl type and one of the first characters that welcomed Gayatri lovingly. And its a really good thing she has both Gayatri and Ranaji for support.

I think the biggest thing here is that you should be able to confide in your loved ones.. there has to be at least someone she could tell and the saddest thing is I don't think Swarna thinks she has that person. Even in the Rana and Swarna scene she was unable to tell Indravden the truth about her scar and with gayatri also with the poem thing. Her feelings are caged and the worst thing in my opinion is the failure it shows of the King and the Queen. Rana and Gayatri are both going to have to show that they care enough for her..to get her to confide in them.
A king is supposed to be someone who you feel you can approach.. who will give you justice as is a queen both Gayatri and Rana have a lot of work do on that front.
If member of the family is unable to approach them then what chance does the common man have. i guess relationships complicate things. Swarna is the the daughter in law and her loneliness in that sense can be understood.
