Absolutely loved that one and the way it was picturised.

The lyrics were so apt for both the Rani & Raja. Thou' we saw it from RNj's pov it could very well have been RGD's heart singing in her unconscious state

Link to the song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6ITEVogaEQ

Below is the lyrics with translation, credit to the blogger at

http://shraddhasigns.blogspot.in/2005/07/translation-of-mora-saiyan-by-fuzon.html

"sawan beeto jaaye beharwa": monsoon (season of love in Indian culture) is passing by my lover
"mann mera ghabraye": my heart fears/worries
"aiso gaye pardes piya tum": u went away just so my lover..
"chain humein nahin aaye": that i can find no relief
"mora saiyan mose bole na": my lover doesn't talk to me!
"main laakh jatan kar haari": i tried about a million things and gave up
"tu jo nahin to aise piya hum": since u're not here so my lover i'm...
"jaise suna angana": just like an empty house (marital abode)
"nain tehari rah nihare": eyes are on the lookout for u
"nainan ko tarsao na": don't tease my eyes(don't tease my longing)
"pyaar tumhein kitna karte hain": i love u sooo much
"tum ye samajh nahin paaye": but u never understood that
"jab hum na honge to beharwa": when i'm not around o my lover (not around=dead)
"bolo kya tab aaoge": tell me will u come back then? (what is the point of coming back then?)
"mora saiyan..": my lover..

i watched the song seq again and loved the part where @bold lines played when he applied the herbal paste at her feet.
Great job guys!

P.S- Since I'm always cribbing about music here, thought I owe it to the music dep this post to show my appreciation.😃
And hope, the positive reinforcement works and they'll rework on the dreaded jo-jo jee and that random love song they play when the don't use Sawariyan.

The song gave such a nice feel to the whole moment. So happy CVs giving RaGa such soulful music.

Between have u heard the full song, its last stanza "kitna pyar tumhey kartey hain...Tum yeah samajh naa paoogey" is Rani Gaytri's version 😳

Yep,yep, i listened to the song couple of times and felt they conveyed so much thr' this song w.o any dialogues/FBs/monologues.

I loved that line about going to Pardesh for RNJ, as RGD was out on other realms😆

It was just wonderful!
The problem with Sawariya is not even the tune or the lyrics but the rendition. The female voice simply lacks the depth, the soul and the feel of the period. Wish they could record another rendition of it with a more classical feel to it!

There is even a thumri version of More Saiyyan by Ustad Fateh Ali khan...!

The lyrics, like you pointed out, are apt in the context of both characters...beautiful selection indeed 👏

Oh! I need to check that one by Ustad Fateh Ali. Dou have the link?

You know, y'day we were discussing about no fbs&monologues, I think, this song conveyed so much without either of them saying anything.

i'm glad they ended it with RNJ offering the water & RGD drinking silently, just kept the mood alive.

BTW, I liked the hurricane lamp and the brass pitcher.

Yes, the song spoke for them...And that one close up of RNJ gave us enough insight into his state of mind..no need for FBs and monologues...that was classy filmmaking...

Yay...you noticed the hurricane lamp and the pitcher...my eyes just get drawn to these details...😆
