ABSOLUTELY. I think he is taking his emotions a bit too far. Be a man, Ranaji...

rana ji felt that it was needed
as he needed to promise his wife
that he will be hers forever
he will not give her heart to any one else
it was more sort of a commitment from his end

Is not enough that he has her pitures, writes letter 2her on is repeat botton since epi 1 (sona sona sona) i mean cvz have made it clear 2the audience in more ways then 1 that he only loves his dead wife, but y shiw this he seems more psycho n crazy know, I actually feel scared for gayatri:((

How are cvs gana justify (so called eternal love saga of RAGA) if their showing his love so deep and never ending soul mate type with his dead wife:( i mean its not a eternal love saga then is it..?

I also found that scene a bit disturbing. Actually I laughed a bit as well, coz I was cringing when I saw this. I guess it's his way of promising his former wife of his undying devotion. It's sad when a man loves a women he can no longer have so much. But at the same time, I want to see him try to live again as well.

See I feel there is a lot of guilt associated with her death for him. So he is not allowing himself to move on. He is punishing himself by staying miserable. As much as his love for Sulakshana, this is more like obsession. Like a certain Zid to not let go of the past. This is beyond loving his dead wife. This is deeply psychological and he is a very disturbed man! I think this scene just reiterated this. But I agree, we do know very well of his love for "Sona". We don't need this carving "S" business to reinforce it! Less is more CV's we get the message!
