ok this ritual was strange

the groom has to walk towards kashi

some family members will try o stop him

some members will try to encourage him

why this strange ritual ?

what is the purpose ?

what is the meaning ?

any one ever heard of this ritual ?

Its an old ritual of Brahmins ... During Upanayan, if they want they can take SANYAS too...

and how does one stop the groom ?

i mean if he has decided to go how can he stop ?

Yeah strange ritual
My mom was asking me what they are doing
I said mama whn u dnt knw how come i will know this 1940's rituals 😕 😆

Lol... It just means to the direction of Kashi, like East or West...actually in case of my bro he walked towards the Gate n someone needs to ask him to stop, holding his hand! Just a ritual.. But yess, my Dadi once told me that if some spiritual thought may arise in this situation n the person can decide to take Sanyas at that moment..
