Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani 1 September 2015 Written Update

Ranaji asks Gayatri to meet him in garden as he needs to talk to her. She wonders if she should go meet him alone like this. Rajmata introduces her to Kokila. Gayatri seeks Kokila's blessings. She blesses her & welcomes her to royal family & gives her a gift. Rajpurohitji asks her to do Gayatri's tilak & aarti. She blows the lamp in pooja thali off and fakes fear in front of Rajmata. Everyone is shocked seeing the lamp blown out. Kokila says this is inauspicious but Rajmata brushes it off that due to wind the lamp blew out and asks her to light it again. Kokila tries to argue but Rajmata firmly asks her to light the lamp again. Swarnlekha tells Gayatri to not worry for when the intentions are right then everything becomes fine. She sets the lamp alight. Kokila looks at her sourly and does Gayatri's aarti. Rajmata asks Kokila to feed sweets to Gayatri ensuring that nothing inauspicious happens this time. She feeds her laddoo. Gayatri looks tensed so Swarnlekha tries to ease her nervousness. She tells her that Royals feed sweets to bride but dont care whether she is comfortable. Gayatri laughs at this so she shushes her telling its inappropriate to laugh in Royal palace and both laugh at this which makes their MILs annoyed. Swarnlekha welcomes Gayatri in Royal palace and tells her to call her whenever she needs a friend. Gayatri asks her about her husband Kuvar Lakshraaj as she hasnt yet seen or met him. Swarnlekha feels sad. She sees Lakshraaj lusting over a guy and sadly tells Gayatri, even I also havent met my husband yet; only Prince Lakshraaj I have met.

Rajpurohitji tells Rajmata that inauspicious incident happened on Engagement day and she should rethink about this wedding. Rajmata angrily asks him to either find a solution to bad omen or keep quiet as nothing can stop this wedding from taking place. She tells Swarnlata & Gayatri, you both are getting along quite well. She entrusts Swarnlata with responsibility to teach Gayatri the Royal etiquette. Swarnlata happily agrees.

GovindSeth and his family seek their leave of Rajmata. She says, they didnt even eat anything and leaving. GovindSeth says, acco. to our customs, I am not supposed to eat anything at my daughter's in-laws house. Ranaji comes there and sarcastically tells GovindSeth to consider his daughter's house as his own only as everything they have actually belongs to GovindSeth only. Rajmata gets tensed. Ranaji tells GovindSeth, you dont just own this palace but even I am also at your service. My heart and my wishes all belong to your daughter now. And what belongs to the daughter, her father also gets right on that. He angrily says, I didnt know there are ppl like you in Ameerkot who... "Arent a part of Royal family yet are very well-cultured", completes Rajmata. Gayatri understands something is wrong and gets tensed. GovindSeth says, we learnt all good values from your father Bade Ranaji only. Rajmata tells him that she wants to discuss wedding arrangements with him. She glares at Ranaji & leaves. Ranaji glares at Gayatri & leaves. Gayatri decides to follow him as he had told her that he wanted to talk to her.

Ranaji comes to courtyard of Palace. He takes his Royal turban off and throws on floor in anger. On the terrace of palace, the hitman Dilawar begins cutting the base of giant horse statue with a knife. He doesnt want to miss the opportunity this time to kill Ranaji. Gayatri comes after Ranaji. He tells her, you're GovindSeth's daughter but you lied to me about your father. She innocently says, I was scared. He scornfully laughs and says, So you lied to me coz you were scared but now its time for the truth to come out. He asks her if she'll be able to face the truth. She says he can tell her anything that he wants to share. He sarcastically says, this alliance, this engagement and this marriage will take place... Right then Dilawar pushes the horse statue off the terrace. Gayatri sees it coming down straight on Ranaji and pushes him aside to save him. They both fall on floor rolling. She sees wound on Ranaji's temple that is bleeding so tries to touch it but he angrily holds her hand & stops her.

People inside palace rush outside hearing loud sound of statue falling. Shyam asks Gayatri if he is fine. Kokila acts shocked that statue fell on Ranaji. Gayatri is worried about Ranaji's wound bleeding. Ranaji understands her concern. Kokila says, how come the statue fell on its own. Someone must have... She gets quiet looking at her husband


Kokila understands her husband must have planned this mishap. She says, the foundation might have gone weak due to rain hence the statue fell. We need to look after this palace properly else the construction will deteriorate. Rajmata, Ranaji, Yashoda everyone understands she is faking. Rajmata asks Ranaji if he is fine. Gayatri worries about his wound. She wonders why Ranaji shoved her hand off so roughly and angrily. She gets tensed thinking if it was because she had lied to him and now he wont even look at her. Rajmata apologizes to GovindSeth for the mishap. He asks if Ranaji is okay. She says, Ranaji is fine and gives same excuse that Kokila gave for statue falling. She decides to end the celebration today and announces 2 rituals for tomorrow: Ranaji's Janeu ritual in palace in which all men will participate & Gayatri's Haldi ceremony at GovindSeth's that all women will attend. The Seths leave. Gayatri keeps looking at Ranaji expectantly; hoping him to look at her at least once but he averts his eyes. KuvarUncle fumes at Dilawar once again missing the target. Rajmata tries to talk to Ranaji but he stops her and asks everyone to leave. He looks at terrace & feels suspicious that the statue didnt fall on its own but someone did it on purpose.

KuvarUncle tells Dilawar, your failure implies my failure. Because of you I have been subjected to my wife's taunts. As a punishment he makes Dilawar cut his own finger. He asks him to kill Ranaji during his Janeu Ceremony next day and threatens him to behead him if he fails to kill Ranaji tomorrow.


Kokila tells KuvarUncle, what if your plan failed, I'll ensure that we get what we want. We dont know how long Ranaji will leave but we sure dont want another heir for Royalty so we'll have to stop this wedding. Uncle asks how? She says, by proving Gayatri a bad omen. He sarcastically tells her if that's all it took to dethrone the king then Rajpurohitji himself would have become the king. She says, women rule by creating drama. Wait and watch how my gift to Gayatri in her Muh-dikhai ruins everything.


In jungle, Dilawar & his accomplices kill a man. Dilawar asks to bury him and cover the pit with grass. Kokila mixes some chemical (acid most probably) in Gayatri's haldi. Rajmata is about to apply haldi to Gayatri. Ranaji is walking in jungle and approaches the pit where the man is buried.
