I think sometimes she will be bad and other times good to Gayu. I think they have set her up to be a grey character. So initially she will taunt Gayatri she has bought herself into royalty, but then she will be on Gayu's case for not shaming their family by being polished and learning how to have a regal bearing etc, she will defend Gayu against the other family members in the palace but when she becomes too good she will get snippy and jealous of her also, so she will be a mixed bag but that will entertain us.
