review as usual awesome ,,
i was also thinking that , the marriage would be a dream .. but high point in episode was rana's flashback ... we r yet to see the layers of his character ..the way he was hugging the girl and laughing .. i was thinking will he laugh again :P ..
and on the other side gayatri will do anything for her books .. dreams and all it was awesome ..
raj mata looks royal out of all and gowind seth have real proudy rich attitude for others

I m sure that smile of Ranaji which we saw in flashback will come back again post Gayatri's entry in his life .. Gayatri is such a pure hearted positive girl .. she will definitely change Ranaji ..

I sort of liked Govind seth's attitude .. he is not scared of the Royal highness because he himself is a rich self made man .. thank god we dont hv a father who is scared and at the mercy of the hero's family .. it seems to b opposite here 😆

The best episode so far...it keeps getting better.

Well defined characters, all of them.

There seems to be a murkier past for the Rana. We are told that he loved his wife, now dead, a lot

But, why did he look so angry and fierce when he opened the door and then shut it with an angry bang? Did she deceive and betray him?

Reminded me of the famous classic novel Rebecca. Will this lady haunt Gayatri the way Rebecca did Max's second wife?

I hv same doubts too .. normally when u love someone and she is dead , u hv positive memories of her .. but here like u said he looked angry the way he locked the door back .. it could b because she betrayed him or mayb her memories still haunt him because he could do nothing to protect her and so mayb the anger .. lets see ..

It will b interesting though if they try to follow Rebecca ...

Beautiful post...
its beautiful epi...two similar yet contrast family n members shown...pain both have ..But gayatri deal with smile n Rana ji deal with hiding it n waiting for his death...she want to deal by facing problem n hiding pain by her smile but her maa understand...There rana ji handle problem but there is pain which he is hiding..which his mother understand
Gayatri's mom sad n scolded her though she was more worried for her n her well being n its natural for any mother..she also know her daughter who is agreeing with her but gayatri will do what she wants ...for reading book...her sister in law came n again try to hurt her...but gayatri over look n took back her books...
Her interaction with her father is like princess, aapka papa ke laadli pamper by him lots...
There Rani ma understand that their rana ,son changed lots by hiding the pain...
Mother can only understand their kids...
shown queen mother and a common mother but both worried for their child n wants their happiness ...
WE got the past glimpse of Rana ji n Gayatri...
Gayatri was engaged at her childhood but her fiance died n for this she didn't get any proposal for wedding ...
There Rana ji silently remember a woman ...(his wife as per promo na article ) then close the door...
he felt the pain...n want to away from it...
Some where I felt rana ji n gayatri's pain will connect them.
There Gayatri's father came to about royal guards n their deed n get angry where rajmata also know...
there shown contrast between two family n two individual...
Rajmata telling about class status where Seth jee got angry n said he is much more rich than them , he will not leave them...
as Rajmata n royal family has taken debt from him...
There another contrast gayatri n rana ji..Both reading books..
One believe it another dismiss it...one believe in dream another hate dream...
Another hide pain n drown in books n want to stay there by believing those books n think this will happen...
(Like Sapno ka Rajkumar n indeed it will happen )
another shut it down by his bitter experience ...
She want to open door of hope ..He lost his all hope...
They r different yet they r same...They look at the life differently approach towards it differently...but they have few thing common pain, past n own family members as enemy ...

Uff.. I love your review posts. Thank you so much for posting everyday.. 🤗And thank you Sweta for your collages. 😊
Well.. my favourite scene was Gayatri and her dad's scene. 😳 I loved it a lot because he really loves his only daughter despite her being a maanglik (if I'm not wrong). Because usually.. these kind of girls are a burden on their families. I remember a serial about a manglik girl who was ill treated by her family but the story was set in the present so it's a great thing that Gayatri is a manglik but her parents love her a lot. Even her brothers seem positive.. 😊 And we are in the 1940s! 😃

Lovex.

P.S. Cannot wait for tomorrow's episode. Gayatri and Ranaji's first face-to-face meeting.

Well written ...

The contrast and similarities between both has been shown quite well so far .. they made sure that we get a glimpse of their past together in one episode itself ... And yes Gayatri has still not given up hope or at least thats what she projects in front of her mother that she is still hopeful of her bright future whereas it seems Ranaji has lost all hopes on life , no wonder he tells his mother about how he is waiting for death but it never embraces him ... Gayatri will definitely teach him to live life once again and she might even inspire Ranaji in a way because even Gayatri has a sad past , yet she has not given up hope ... Mentally I feel Gayatri is more stronger than Ranaji in this case ...

Its good to see Ranaji's mother is not a negative character but is concerned for her son's happiness .. keeping aside all their Royalty show off , she is still a mother who feels sad seeing her son in pain ...

About Ranaji's past , I still hv doubts if his wife died or left him .. I guess his past will remain a suspense for sometime till he gets married to Gayatri .. so till then we can just speculate about the mystry women ...

Yeah I m also glad to see that her parents still pamper her and fulfill all her demands instead of cursing her for her fate ... though its set in 40s era , but its good to see the mindset of Gayatri's parents are quite modern and they dont consider their daughter as some burden ..

I feel she is not manglik but because her fiance died in childhood , so people assume that she is a bad omen and thats why noone wants to do rishta with her ...

Wonderful analysis Jyoti.
One thing I really like is that Gayatri's father is not just rich, but loves her daughter too rather than killing her. Else, dd's both last shows had rich fathers and families, but either the family or the father wanted to kill her one because of some honor issue and other because was told his daughter will be the downfall of his. So it's a very refreshing change to see dd's this character loved by his father and the family except of course the bhabhis who aren't important anyway.

And, like you said, I like how Gayatri doesn't proclaim to be perfect and give lectures. I really hope she remains this way and bindaas. It's another refreshing change in female lead character. I also love how progressive and brave she's compared to the times the show is set in.

About Rana's wife, I hope it goes the way some members are predicting. I want her to be shown betraying him or something like that. That will be a nice twist. Don't want her to be shown as some victim or nice person making it predictable. 😆 Anyway, I get very possessive over on screen couple and hate when they are with others than with themselves or like someone else 😆

sorry jo i am late .
busy working day couldn't come .

well amazing analysis by u i liked how u said about ranaji -gaytri

highlight was- yet they both r secretly pinning for a life filled with love and happiness ..Gayatri dreams about a fairytale life and Ranaji fears dreaming about such life because he has seen a sad end to such fairytales .. But somewhere they both r longing for a soulmate ..
Gayatri loves being optimistic about life despite a tragic past whereas Ranaji has become pessimistic in life due to his tragic past ..Point to b noted here is that both have a similar past story where Gayatri lost her fiance in childhood and Ranaji too lost his wife/fiance(we dunno yet) few years back which was quite evident from theflashback we saw👏

awesome post .

i really liked gaytri and her lovely parents and her father as usual a dotting father .

i liked the scene were gaytri-ranaji think about the book both have different approach but still they are connected same book but with different languages different ideology.

few scenes showed ranaji a different person in that fb that for me was the best scene .
director is smart enough to balance everyone scenes equally .

i just got hooked up to this show now 👏
