Once again, I'll pluck bits and pieces from The episodes during the week and collaborate them with today's episode.

Before I continue, a note to Sony - thanks for the timing stuff up. It wasn't even a maha-episode. Literally waste of the time slot.

Moving on.

We had a subtle decrease in Sanchi and Aryan's scenes during the week. Being honest, I did miss the two on my screen but it was purely because they are cute and I needed to see their cuteness. But at the same time, the show created a very well-balanced week with the other characters and I was kind of left pleasantly surprised. My expectations in terms of scenes of external characters is pretty low in general when it comes to Indian television because of the way storymakers miscarriage the core of these beautiful characters. Unnecessary conflicts are created within family members and for no reason whatsoever, we see the trust between family just magically disappear in a span of mere days. Yet somehow, as we continue to progress into the story of this show, their way of handling characters and minor misunderstandings, seems to get better. It's almost like they write a scene with a certain purpose and within two episodes, they close the matter and leave the audience with a great learned lesson.

You look at today's episode, and I think quite conveniently we can say that the crux of the episode was that there is no one older or younger when it comes to gratitude or apologies. Usually in shows, you see the "older" members cloak their minds with a rigid layer of ego and so relationships fall apart for no reasons at all. However, this show promotes unity. Friendship. Relations of the heart and ofc partnership. They teach us how to trust on your close ones and then how to safeguard that trust as well as how to keep all those who you love, close to yourself. I've always admired Mittal's for the idea that everything in their family is out and open. Viren has been posed as a great connect to this show because of how he makes us a part of his family, when he discusses and communicates with them so openly. And perhaps today I felt a very similar sense of feeling for the Sethia's.

The way Diwakar snapped - it's pretty understandable for someone who is going through a major financial crisis. Yet the way the two brothers walked down their memory lane together was such a heartfelt scene. It truly fills your heart with so much joy when you see brothers being able to forgive each other so promptly without any sort of ego or arrogance. And perhaps what I loved even more about the scene is how indirectly, loads of similarities were highlighted, which exist between the brotherhood of Diwakar and Prabhat and Aryan and Sushant. It's a sign of a strong family where you can notice how the values, love, respect and honest core of the family has travelled through time and met with the new generation. As viewers, you want to invest your trust in families and characters like such because you know it speaks togetherness and humbleness.

To some extent I'm glad that they focused on some of Nirmila's insecurities too. For now, she does seem to be the weaker link of the Sethia family and it'd be interesting to see if with time we will see her evolve into a stronger personality or if her insecurities will increase. It also adds the little flawed factor to the family and provides a more realistic shade of our society because no family can be perfect at the end of the day. There will be always room for disagreements, and misunderstandings. But the true perfection of a family is when all members learn from each other, from their own mistakes and learn how to take the best and most apt decision for the family as a whole. Again, the makers continued with the same theme for Nirmila's outburst too. That it's not about who is younger and/or who is older. It's all about apologising, forgetting the bitter memories and moving on with the whole family by your side. Also may I add, the way the misunderstanding was concluded with the whole family trying to win her over, was so hearty.

I think the last thing I want to talk about briefly is the portrayal of this older generation on this show. There was a scene I absolutely adored this week and that was yesterday when Diwakar and Sarita share some moments to themselves. It was the way they open their hearts out to each other, the way they regard and admire qualities about one another which really stood out. A couple, which has come past most of the ups and downs in life, still holds so much affection for each other and their relationship, is something which is so rare on television these days. Nowadays, every second show portrays relationships being taken for granted or extra marital affairs. Yet the simplicity of not only Diwakar and Sarita's relationship but also of Viren and Kusum makes the show so much more enjoyable to watch. Perhaps because you can connect to these couples just as much as we connect to Aryan and Sanchi. Their love definitely belonged to a different age, yet with new age it has only deepened.

P.S. a big shout out to the scene of Aryan and Sanchi calling their families as "hamari families". Adorable to all extents.

P.S.S. Priyanka is a sweetheart.

Yes agree with u.. loved the way they are showing all relations.. specially u loved the todays nirmla scene..it was perfect for me. The way they show her insecurity its natural and some how realistic .but more than I love when the aryan sense something is wrong with her.its really important the younger generation of family should get to know if there is problem with any family members... now a days most of the time its wont happen.. and special mention to priyanka she is perfect sethiya bahu..Her bonding with each family member is so strong..its look like she is daughter of family more than the bahu...u said right she is sweeheart❤️

Barbie, you're too sweet. 🤗

It kind of gets to me that our forum is a rather quiet one but hopefully with time, we get more ardent followers of the show and perhaps more wonderful analysis to indulge in. It's always lovely seeing the bunch of you around, trying to maintain the hype of the forum. Thanks for that. Hopefully during the shaadi days, we can kickoff some great discussion threads.

Love.

@Bold - A wonderful observation. I'm kind of sick of seeing the dysfunctional nature families these days where they lack understanding and communication. Most shows portray the same old idea of generation gap but there is so much to learn here from the show. I credit the writers for ensuring there are balanced scenes between each character and all the chars share a bond with each one of their family members. It just enhances the connectability of the show as a whole.

And like I said to Barbie, thank you for being so sweet in yourself.

Hi Twinkle,
I'm Shirley.
I won't lie to you and say that I read your posts daily. I'm not that frequent a visitor here.

But I absolutely love love n love your posts. Wait a sec., do u post daily or weekly?

More than going all mush mush about good looks and romantic scenes etc., I love to read or write analytical posts that discuss the script, narrative and most importantly characterizations.

Can I join u in analysis as your saajhedaar? As I told u I love to discuss but don't like to do it alone

I won't mind in the least if u say no.

Hey Shirley,

Nice to finally meet you. Mind you, I've stalked all your initial analysis of the show and perhaps that was the mere reason I use to visit the forum daily to check if you'd updated. 😆

Of course you're more than welcome to discuss and write on any and all my threads. We genuinely need more hearty discussions happening here. I don't get time to write daily so I just do a post on friday nights after the episode. But if by chance, an episode is fantastic or something, I write a few things during the middle of the week. But mostly, it's on the weekend.

Discuss and write away. I'm keen to read you after a long time.

Heads up though. I can get mushy with main leads that may appeal me. 😆 But for now, there is so much more to this story than the romance and love so you won't see that side of me for a while haha

Nice to meet u too! OMG OMG u actually read those and still remember my posts of long ago!😳 I am truly touched😃 I stopped writing those for 3 reasons:

1. Of course work!!😡.
2. I felt that not many enjoyed my posts.
3. As I told u, I love to DISCUSS WITH OTHERS. No one was interested in to-and-fro discussion..

Really? u sure u wont get a headache?😛 Jokes apart I am uttwerly tired now but had to respond to such a sweet reply of yours. But i do have a doubt about kast week .. i will just post that in the next post and crash on my bed, would see your replies around noon tomorrow.

😆😆 I never said i had anything against mush or good romantic scenes or enjoying them.. i just said the other aspects appeal more to me. May be its due to the age factor.. most of u in this forum are around 20ish, while i am in my late 30s.😳

I have a doubt and m wondering if i missed something?
When preps for the mrg was begining at the Mittals, Viren so clearly explained to everyone that they should keep things simple and low budget, considering Sethiyas' financial condition. And everyone agreed too.

So, why did Viren come to Sethiyas with such a lavish card hamper? this has been bothering me consistently, as it does not gel with what was shown earlier,

i would also love to discuss Neelima. or is it Nirmila, as u r all calling her.? But really exhausted right now.. maybe tomorrow

good night🥱
