It was night...night that brings life to a standstill...night...when people sleep...Sleep...which remains away from lot of people who are busy in earning...it's night that some times bring sleep...well...actually...sleeping is nice...as you're not awake and you're not actually dead...so it's a win-win situation...but this night had most of the time failed to bring the sleep in his eyes...yes...Raghav was awake at 1 at night...
He was standing near window of his big lavish room...the silver light that was bestowed by the moon was falling on him making it to glow...the cool breeze that was coming directly from the vast sea was soothing his worried soul...he again saw that awful dream...
"God...why this is happening again and again..."Raghav said to himself...he grabbed the car's keys and went...
He halted his car near his house...where he gets peace...he entered the house and looked all around...he felt relief...he felt good...he went to the bedroom and slept hugging kalpi's picture...
The new morning arrived with lots of hopes...
Sammy, upon not getting Raghav anywhere called him...the call brought Raghav out of his sleep...he picked up the call..." ya Sammy" Raghav said in a sleepy tone...
Sa: where are u?
R: in my bedroom...
Sa: but I saw u there..u were not there...
R: bedroom of MY HOUSE...
Sa: ok...come fast...I am waiting...
R: anything important? Did u get any clue about kalpi?
Sammy was silent on hearing it...
R: hello Sammy..u there?
Sa: yeah..no..not about kalpi...it's not much important...just come...
R: Ok...
Raghav got up from the bed and was leaving when his eyes fell on the hand impression that was of kalpi...she had put it when she entered into the house for the first time after the marriage...he neared it...he caressed the hand impression...memories of his happy life passed in his mind...he, then came out of the trance...kissed the hand impression and left...
Here kalpi was having her breakfast..."kalpu...u remember na...we all are going for shopping today..." Pakya said in an excitement..."Yeah dada..." Kalpi said having a bite of her favourite poha prepared by her aai...
Raghav reached 'Singhania Mansion'...Sammy was waiting for him...'Raghav...come...have breakfast..." Sammy said when he saw Raghav..."You have to talk something important..." Raghav said sitting on a chair...
Sa: Nothing so important...it's just...I have to go for shopping...
R: what?
Sa: vo actually...I have to buy a gift for Pakhi...and I don't know what to give so I thought to take the help of my best friend...
R: no way...shopping and me...no way...
Sa: plz plz plz Raghav...will u not do this much for your beat friend?
R: ok stop your drama..I am coming...
Sa: thank you so much Raghav...you're the best...
R: stop buttering now...
Here in chawl...
" aai...baba...kalpu...c'on fast...we are getting late..." Pakya shouted at the top of his voice..." coming dada.." came the sweet voice of kalpi...
All of them came down and headed towards the new shopping mall that was opened recently in the area...
Here Raghav and Sammy were also going to the same shopping mall...Sammy made the plan of shopping to just drive Raghav's attention to some other thing...
K:So..baba...aai...dada...what you all have to buy...
V: I don't want anything...
K: baba...not done...you have to buy something...
V: ok...if you insist...
Py: I want to buy a classy jeans...and a branded shirt...and yes branded shoes...
V: itna sab nahi milega ( you will not get so much)
K: baba it's ok.. ( to pakya) dada take anything you wish...money is no issue..
Py: pagal hai kya kalpu...ye sab main apne paison se khreedunga...tu chahe to aai..baba ke liye khud ke paison se kuch bhi khareed sakti hai...main ab kamata hun yaar.. ( are u mad kalpu...I will buy all these things with my own money...if u wish u can buy something for aai and baba with ur own money...u forgot...now I earn...)
K: oho dada..hmm...apna paisa aur tumhara paisa haan ( ohho dada...my money and your money. ..ok...)
Py: kalpuuu...
Ka: accha tum dono chalo andar ( ok...you both come in...)
Here...Raghav and Sammy also came in the same mall unknown to both that the person one was trying to hide and the person one was trying to find was at the same place...upon entering in the mall Raghav's heart started beating faster as a metal detector beeps louder and faster on discovering even a piece of metal...
Raghav was not able to understand as to why was he feeling so...his restlessness was npticed by Sammy so he dragged him in the gifts section to busy him somewhere so that he may think the minimum about kalpi...
On the other hand...Kalpi was selecting saree for her mother in the women's section...Raghav and Sammy didn't find anything suitable for Pakhi so Sammy decided to gift her a beautiful dress...so both of the headed towards the women's section...Kalpi and kamla were at a corncornhere sarees were kept and Raghav and Sammy at the other corner where western dresses could be found...
Raghav was uninterested in this selection but his eyes fell on a white gown...he loved the simplicity and elegance of it..." just like kalpi...pure and simple" he uttered to himself..." You said anything" asked Sammy..." I am buying this for kalpi..." Raghav said picking up the dress...
Here kalpi was helping kamla in selecting a good saree when her phone rang...it flashed 'Prem'
K: aai...it's prem's call...I am coming in a minute...till then you can select any saree...
Ka: ok...
Kalpi goes from there...receiving the call...
K: yes prem...any work...
Pr: so..I can call you only when I have work?
K: nothing of that sort...accha tell...
Pr: nothing important...I was just misaing you...
K: good news then...I will be back very soon...
Pr: that's great!
K: ok then...
Pr: No wait...actually I have called as I had some important work with you...
K: I knew it...you won't call until you have some important work...
Pr: it's not like that...it's just...
K: I know I am kidding...ok tell...
Prem talked about some presentation and about some projects (details of which I am not giving)...
Pr: ok...
K: bye...take care...
Pr: bye...you too take care...
The call was over...
Kalpi turned to go to her aai and resume her work of selecting the best of the best saree for her dear mom but she bumped into a tall man ...she didn't look at him but mumbled a quick sorry and was about to leave but stopped when she realised that the man was holding her wrist...she turned to look at the person who dared to hold her...
"How dare you?" Kalpi said with a voice filled with anger...any girl would be that angry.. but she got one of the biggest shock of her life...the man was non other than..Raghav Singhania...the man she never wanted to see even in her wildest dream...
Raghav was helping Sammy when he saw kalpi goung out of the shop through a mirror...he followed her and once she bumped into him he was sure he wasn't hallucinating...
"Kalpi" was all Raghav could mumble after seeing his long lost love...his eyes were glassy due to the layer of tears formed in his eyes...she was in front of him...there was so much he wanted ask...so much to tell...so much to do...but...he wasn't able to...he was like a statue standing holding her wrist...she stuggled to free herself was even successful...it was only when kalpi hurried to vanish again and prove to him that he was only having a day dream...but Raghav came out of his stopped world and held her again..
"Excuse me...Please leave my hand..." Kalpi said who was getting annoyed due to Raghav's touch..."Kalpi...where were you...I searched you everywhere...I missed you so much...why did you leave me?" Raghav said with tears in his eyes...Kalpi was getting annoyed as the man in front of him was blaming her for the thing he himself did... "LEAVE MY HAND I SAID...I DON'T KNOW ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE TALKING AND I THINK YOU'RE MISTAKEN...I AM NOT THE ONE YOU ARE THINKING OF..." Kalpi said with utter disgustance...
"Kalpi plz don't do this " Raghav said pleading..." I won't be able to bear your hatred any longer..."
K: Please leave me Mr. WHATEVER..or else it won't be good for you...
R: what can you do...I know you kalpi...you are angry with me...but plz don't do this...I know you are just pretending that you don't know me...you always do this when you are angry...
K: FINE MR. SINGHANIA...I knew you once but not again...not again Mr. Singhania...not again...
R: but why kalpi...
K: do I really need to tell to the reason...
Raghav bowed his head...he was drowning in the sea of guilt...
R: I am sorry kalpi...
K: WOW...you should get a great round of applause...after doing so much saying 'Sorry' can change everything...do you really think that...
By now Kamla, Vitthal, Pakya and Sammy also came at that place...but they chose to let the two speak...
R: I know my mistake can not be forgiven but plz...
K: leave it Mr. Singhania...it's of no use...I don't love you anymore...in fact I HATE YOU...and trust I HATE YOU MORE THAN I LOVED YOU...You know what...I would have still forgiven you if you would have left me for some other women but...you left me for SOME MONEY...
Kalpi turned to walk away...Raghav was too weak after listening to kalpi to hold her again...kalpi moved away with her family...even she was hurt all over again after facing him...
Raghav was still standing at the very same place...kalpi's words were ringing in his ears...'I HATE YOU'...Sammy was standing near him feeling helpless...'THUD' Raghav fell on his knees...crying...repeating kalpi's words again and again...Sammy somehow managed him to the car and drove to Singhania Mansion...Raghav was still out of his mind...thinking about what Kalpi said...
It was evening...Raghav was still sitting on his bed motionless...Sammy was worried for his best friend...he gave him some sleeping pills so that he may sleep and relax for some time...the medicine showed it's effect...Raghav dozed to sleep...
Here in chawl...Kalpi was also upset...the painful past was after all in front of her eyes...she had managed to forget it but this sudden happening had again broken her...Kamla, Vitthal and Pakya were helpless...to distract Kalpi, Kamla called everyone for dinner...kalpi also doesn't want to show her sadness so she also went to have dinner and behaved very normal...but her familyfamily knew the truth but they chose not to confront her over this...
All of them were sleeping but sleep was far away from kalpi...she was tossing and turning on her bed...when she could no longer even lie on the bed she moved to the balcony...she was looking at the clear sky where she could see uncountable stars..."I need to go..." Kalpi decided...she thought of leaving again...
Kalpi moved out to have a walk or say to strengthen herself to leave her family again...she wad walking on the road thinking of her past...her mom...her dad...brother...Prem...RAGHAV...all the happy moments of her life and most probably the sad life as well...she was walking aimlessly on the deserted road...a truck was coming from back towards her in full speed...the driver blew horn but Kalpi was too engrossed in her thoughts to hear anything...
The driver applied breaks but found it failed...before her could do anything the truck bumped into Kalpi...she fell on the ground in the pool of blood...the driver due to fear ran away from the spot...she was lying on the ground with blood all aruond...After some time some police came who were patrolling...
They took her to the hospital...to inform her family they called the last dailed from her phone to Pakya...Pakya ran to the hospital without telling to Vitthal and Kamla...
"Kalpiii" Raghav got up in the middle of the night sweating heavily...kalpi is not well I need to go...he got up from the bed but Sammy came..."What happened Raghav? Any bad dream? You okay? " Sammy asked...
R: The very same dream...kalpi's accident...Sammy I want to check her...
Sa: you can't go like that..
R: why...I will go..
Sa: no wait we will call kamla aunty...
R: ok...but keep the phone on speaker...
Sa: fine...
Sammy called Kamla...kamla got up from sleep...
Ka: hello...
Sa: aunty...where is kalpi...
Ka: kalpi...she would be sleeping...
Ka: can you plz chek on her and tell..
Ka: ok...
Kamla goes to check on kalpi but couldn't find her anywhere...ahe called for Vitthal...he also cheked her everywhere but couldn't get her..." Pakya would be knowing" Vitthal suggested...but they didn't find Pakya either...Vitthal called Pakya...
V: pakya where are u..do you know where is kalpi...
Py: baba vo...vo...I am in hospital...kalpi...she...she...she met with an accident...
V: what? Kalpi met with an accident...in which hospital you are...
Py: City Hospital...
V: we are coming...
The call ended...
Raghav and Sammy also heard the conversation..."See Sammy I was saying she is in problem...I need to go Sammy" Raghav said...
Sa: ok we will go..
Both of them head to the hospital...Vitthal and Kamla had already reached...
Kalpi was taken to the operation theatre...Doctor told that she was critical and that nothing could be said...she needed prayers...Raghav also reached...he rand towards the OT as told by the the receptionist...he saw Pakya, Vitthal and Kamla standing...he went towards them..." how is Kalpi...she is fine na...nothing is serious na...plz tell me..." Raghav pleaded...
Py: you need not to worry for her...her family is still there to worry for her...you can plz leave...
R: not now plz...I need to know...
Py: why should you...
R: I have all rights to know...I am her husband...
Py: plz don't start all over again...
The doctor came out of the OT...all approached to him...
V: how is she??
D: I am sorry...she is very critical...I don't think we can save her...
R: how dare you say that...I want her perfectly fine and you have to do it doctor or else you don't know what I will do...
D: I am so sorry but the thing is she had got lot of injury on her head...even that could be cured but due to injury her tumour is affected...she has brain tumour at last stage...at this stage tumor patients are advised to not to get any injury especially on hond but due to accident the tumour had burst ( I don't know if anything happens as such...it's imaginary from my side..don't find any logic in this...) I am sorry...we are shifting her to the ward but she is probably having approximately five to six hours...you can meet her...btw she had wished to meet her brother first...
The doctor goes from there...
Ka: (crying ) Vitthal...why is this happening to our daughter? God can't do this with her.
V: (crying) Yes Kamla our daughter is very good...nothing bad can happen to her...God will not do anything such to her...we need to pray...
Both Vitthal and Kamla went to the hospital' s temple to pray for their princess...
Here I give an end...yes I know I should have given an update for TOUGH HEART but this finished earlier so I thought to give it first...so...will kalpi die...what if she dies...how will Raghav react...(but believe me something unexpected will happen)...if you want to know the answers stay tuned to THE LOST LOVE...
