I want to keep exploring myself as an actor: Ishaan Singh Manhas

Talented actor Ishaan Singh Manhas, who is currently seen as Jugnu on Channel V's popular show Swim Team, has changed a lot as a person by playing his character on the show. he is quite happy playing this role.

Talking about his experience being a part of the show so far, he told us, "It's been a wonderful experience so far. It's the first time that I am playing a grey shaded role that also has a flavor of comedy. So, through this, I am getting to play both and the best part is that I can be very free in front of the camera and that's how my character is. Jugnu is arrogant, rude, egoistic, dominating and cunning but with that he can also be a Romeo with funny imaginations. I always wanted to work with Channel Vand Endemol and was keen on doing a youth show. Though I used to avoid playing grey shaded roles but this was not a typical evil guy. This character is far more entertaining."

The show is based on the backdrop of swimming so we wonder how good must be Ishaan with swimming. When we asked him about it, he said, "I used to compete during my school and college days and have won few medals too. Though I am not required to swim that much on this show as I am not competing being the head coach but I can easily handle swimming scenes."

Though Ishaan's first show Ek Mutthi Aasmaan has given him recognition but Swim Team is closest to his heart and the show has bought a lot of changes in him as a person. He shared, "Ek Mutthi Aasmaan was my first show so I have memories and emotions attached to it that because of the memories it has given me. My current show Swim Team is also very close to my heart because of the great bonding that I share with my costars and the superb work environment that we have around. We have a young star cast and very cool direction and creative teams. Being on the sets just reminds me of my college days. We all eat together, laugh together and travel together. It's a great fun working here and this show has the best bonding I have seen ever."

"I used to be an introvert initially but because of the character that I am playing on the show, I have started being free in front of the camera and in real life too. The expressive side of this character has started bringing changes in me and I have also made some good and genuine friends on this show," added Ishaan.

"I want to keep exploring myself as an actor. I want to do films with good production houses and with good directors," concludes Ishaan talking about his future goals.
