Part 30
"Raghav...I have a bad news to tell about HER..." Sammy said with a sad look on his face while his eyes were fixed on Raghav...
"Wait...you know na I can't know anything about her..." Raghav said helplessly while he wanted to know inwardly...
"But that thing was for the TEN YEARS but now its over...you can now know about her..meet her...go back to India..." Sammy said convincing Raghav...
"Ok...what it is...she is fine na?" Raghav said restlessly...
"She is fine but..." Sammy said unable to continue further...
"But what?" Raghav said while his restlessness increased...
"But...she..she is...she is married to Prem three years back...see her wedding photograph..." Sammy said in one go...
"W-WHAT?" Raghav said in utter shock holding a photograph in which he can clearly see Prem standing dressed in Golden and crimson Sherwani and Kalpi standing beside him in golden and crimson lengha with minimal makeup and lil jewelery...looking less like a bride and more like an Angel his heart breaking into millions of pieces...he couldn't believe his own ears...he felt like his life came to a dead end...He sat on the couch with a thud...Sammy rushed to catch him...console him...
IN MUMBAI...
Kalpi was sitting in a caf where a man came..."Hello Kalpi..." He said with a smile giving out the flower bouquet he had brought...
"Hi Shaan...have a seat" Kalpi said uninterested in his bouquet.
"Thanks.." Shaan said keeping the bouquet on the table...
"See Shaan...I'm really sorry but I can't accept your proposal..." Kalpi said...
"But why? I don't have any shortcomings...I have even good looks...money...and most importantly...I LOVE YOU..." Shaan said convincing Kalpi...
"I can't tell you the reason but I can't marry you...Please try and understand..." Kalpi said with softness filled in her voice...
"But why? I can do anything for you. .." Shaan said...
"Anything? " Kalpi said...
"Yeah"
"Can you wait for me?" Kalpi said folding her arms near her chest and leaning on the chair...
"Yeah..."
"For one year?" Kalpi said coming forward
"Yes" Shaan said with determination...
"Two years?"
"Yeah" his determination slightly shook...
"Five years? "
"Ye-Yeah" determination breaking away...
"Ten years?"
(SILENCE)
"No na...you can't wait for me for ten years...and you said you loved me...there is someone who can wait for me till eternity...he in fact had proved it...I'm sorry..." saying so Kalpi took her bag and moved out...
"Listen Kalpi...don't lose him..." Shaan said from back...
"I'll make sure of it..." Kalpi said with a smile...
IN NEW YORK
"What are you doing Raghav?" Sammy said looking at a broken Raghav who throwing his things in the suitcase angrily...
"I'm going to India...I have to ask her...why did she do this to me..." Raghav said smashing the 'WEDDING PICTURE' and throwing it on the ground...
The plane landed in India...
Nothing is difficult for HIM to do...he got the new address of Dr. KALPANA VITTHAL JADHAV...he stood in front of the huge white bungalow holding his suitcase in one hand...taking out the black shades..."I'll have my answers Kalpi..."
'Ting Tong' The bell rand...
"Ramu...just go and check who's on the door..." Vitthal said shouting while sitting on the couch and his eyes fixed on the newspaper...
Ramu went and opened the and let the person on the door to come in...
"Hello Uncle..." Raghav said with a smile on his face and waving his hand...
Vitthal lifted his head from the newspaper upon hearing a very familiar voice...he saw him standing...he looked the same as he was when he saw him last...Vitthal got up from the couch and strived towards him...
"Raghav!" Vitthal said surprised to look at him after so long...
Raghav bent to touch his feet..."stay blessed and be happy..." Vitthal said keeping his hand on his head...
"How can I be happy when my happiness belongs to someone else now" Raghav mumbled out of pain he was going through since he saw that wedding picture...
"Did you say something?" Vitthal asked when he wasn't able to understand what Raghav was mumbling...
"Nothing uncle...where is Pakya..." Raghav asked...plastering a smile on his face.
"He has gone for a meeting..." Vitthal said with a smile on his face..."And...Kalpi...she...she had gone for an emergency surgery...she will be back anytime..."
"Ok" Raghav said with a fast heartbeat...he's gonna behold her after so many years...he knows how had he survived for all those years without her...
'Ting Tong'
"Perhaps it's Kalpi..." Vitthal said...
Raghav's heartbeat was racing against his chest...had it been a marathon Raghav's heart would beat even Usain Bolt...
Ramu opened the door and much to everyone's dismay especially Raghav...
"Hi baba!" Pakya said while he was still ignorant about the arrival of a new guest...well not so new bust the same guest who in a very short span had become a good friend to him...
"Pakya see who's here." Vitthal said pointing towards Raghav who was adorned with a smile seeing his friend...
Pakya turned around and saw what he didn't believe he will ever see...Raghav was sitting in front of him..."Hey buddy...when did you come? I missed you so very much." Pakya said grabbing Raghav in a side embrace...
"Same here...I'm so happy to see you...you're so changed..." Raghav said giving out the brightest smile anyone would have seen...
"Raghav...there is not an iota of change in you...same bright smile...same handsome face...same love for my sister in your eyes..." Pakya said...
Raghav remembered everything with Kalpi...when he saw her first time in Rain...then Pakhi-cum-her b'day party...walk to the museum...times with her in hospital...times he spent with her at his home when she was his care taker...times when she was angry on him...he, try to pacify her...his times at her home...then...her confession...their deal of separation...all those 10 years without her...then...the happy wedding picture. That last thing had destroyed his taste of mouth...
"Raghav...you ok?" Raghav said when he saw a lost Raghav...
"Y-Yeah" Raghav said coming out of his reverie of thoughts...
"Dada ! I did it again...one more successful surgery..." Kalpi shouted excitedly standing on the door...she ran inside...keeping her doctor's coat and stethoscope on the couch and hugged Pakya...
Raghav's heart was fluttering seeing her...after so long...but then...it started sinking...remembering the picture...
"Kalpu...see who's here" Pakya said...
Kalpi turned and was perplexed to see HIM...she had butterflies in her stomach...her heart started thumping vigorously in her tiny rib cage breaking Raghav's record...she raised her hand to touch his cheeks...she thought that she is hallucinating...she felt his skin against her hand confirming he is all real in flesh and blood...
After so long he again had got that touch he had longed for ages...her hand was still as soft as a new born baby...she still had that innocence in her eyes that had drawn him towards her...she is all same...exactly as same as he left her...
Both of them came out of there trance..."both of you can go to Kalpi's room and can talk.. me and pakya have some work..." Vitthal said when he realised both of them needed this alone time...
Raghav followed Kalpi to her room...he was surprised to look at the room...it resembled so much like his room with very slight changes...while having glance all over the room his eyes were fixed on a extra large picture frame which included her family...Pakhi...Pakhi's family...Prem's family...Kalpi ...and an unknown girl...
Kalpi saw him staring at the picture..."it's Prem and Maya's wedding picture...I liked it so it's hanging out here...
"WHAT! Prem and Maya's wedding?" Raghav said looking confused...
"Yeah...Prem got married 3 years back...with Maya...his classmate...it was a arranged-cum-love marriage..." Kalpi said trying to erase confusion...
"Then why Sammy said that you have married Prem?" Raghav said while his confusion increased and now even Kalpu was in confusion...
"What?" Kalpi as she was not able to understand anything...
"Yes...Sammy said that you and Prem got married and this..." Raghav uttered in confusion over Sammy's lies handing over the so called wedding picture to Kalpi...
Kalpi saw the picture...she knows it...but something was weird...she went to the drawer where Prem's wedding album wad keep which Pakhi had given her some time back...she went through the album and opened the page where that picture was there...she got the difference between the two pictures...the picture that was in the album had her...standing between Prem AND Maya...but the photo that Raghav Possessed had her beside Prem...so Raghav misunderstood the photo...Raghav realised it...he had questions for Sammy...
"Why did he do this?" Raghav asked to himself but he was loud enough...
"Because we wanted you to come back. ...it was more than enough for us to see you both in pain..." Pakhi said while she was supported by Sammy, Pakya and Vitthal...
"Raghav...Pakhi told me to do so...I'm sorry" Sammy apologised for his lie...
"It's ok buddy...you did it for my sake" Raghav said feeling thankful to everyone who did this...
"Accha leave all this and go for what you have been waiting for so long..." Pakhi said excitedly...
"Yeah" Raghav said with a bright smile on his face...
"So Miss Kalpana oh correction...Dr. Kalpana Vitthal Jadhav would you please oblige me by accepting this not-so-perfect guy as your life partner and allow me to have you throughout this journey of mine..." Raghav said getting on his knees...
"Ummm...well" Kalpi said teasingly...
"Please" Raghav said making a puppy face...
"YES! I WILL...I'M READY TO ADOPT YOUR SURNAME NOW." Kalpi said wearing the brightest of the brightest smile on her face...
All jumped in happiness...Raghav pulled Kalpi in a tight embrace...Vitthal had happy tears in his eyes...
"Thank You...I Love You." Raghav whispered in Kalpi's ear..."I Love You Too" Kalpi reciprocated...
"Wait...wait...me and Sammy wants to announce something. .." Pakhi said...
"What Pakhi?" Raghav asked...
"Me and Sammy are in a relationship from past four years and we are going to marry on the same day as yours" Pakhi said while her cheeks turned red...
"Sammy?" Raghav asked...
"Yeah Raghav...we have decided to marry when you'll marry...I love her...uncle and aunty also have no problems with it..." Sammy said...
"I'm so happy for you Pakhi..." Kalpi said keeping her hand on Pakhi's shoulder...
"Hey Kalpu and Pakhi...why don't you get married on the same day you both were born... like...this is a new like you're going to start so what is better than your birthday..." Pakya said...
"Yes dada you're right..." Pakhi said...
"Ok..." Vitthal said...
"What ? We have to wait for another 10 DAYS..." Sammy and Raghav said in unison...
"Yeah" Kalpi and Pakhi also said in unison and started giggling...
10 DAYS LATER...
Wedding preparations were in full swing...Kalpi and Pakhi were getting ready foe their D-Day...and were Sammy and Raghav...
Raghav looked himself in the mirror...adjusting his brooch that was neatly placed on his golden and royal blue sherwani...and Sammy was all dressed in White and golden sherwani...both were looking perfect...
Kalpi and Pakhi were in their room...Kalpi was all dressed in Golden and Royal blue lengha that matching with Raghav's sherwani and Pakhi was in golden and white lengha just like Sammy's sherwani...Neetu came in and looked lovingly on both her daughters...
Then...both the brides were called for the wedding rituals...both the grooms were mesmerised with the beauty of their brides...
The wedding rituals were done...all of them changed for the grand reception of the couple...Kalpi was in sea green gown and Raghav was in black denim and sea green shirt with black tie that was loosely tied...and Pakhi was in peach coloured gown and Sammy was in white pants and Peach coloured shirt with white blazer...it was a perfect reception beside the beach...
Then...after each and every rituals...both of the couples left for their honeymoons...Pakhi and Sammy to Paris and Pakhi loved shopping and Kalpi and Raghav to Switzerland as Kalpi loved snow...
Then...then what...THE LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER...what else...so...finally it ends her...it was an awesome journey for me and hope that it was for you all as well...I hope you were not disappointed with this update...
