TEN YEARS LATER...
IN NEW YORK...
"Raghav sir...you have meeting in an hour..." the PA informed Raghav who was sitting in his lavish bedroom near the window..." ok...I'll be there in 45 minutes..." saying so Raghav cut the call...
He headed to the attached bathroom...had a good shower...dressed himself in black jeans and sky blue shirt...took his keys and shade and drove to his office that was just 45 minutes far from his 'Mansion'...
He had bagged another Hollywood movie...He has been the Superstar of Hollywood...This was nothing new...same thing over past ten years...but there is a difference...he is a businessman also...and a successful one...
He came back after attending three meetings...one regarding a movie and two other were concerned with the business...
IN MUMBAI...
Kalpana was standing on the window that faced the Arabian Sea holding the cup of coffee...the cold breeze coming directly from the sea was soothing her...she is a successful cardiac surgeon whom the whole city...whole state...whole nation admires.. she had all the complicated cases operated successfully...
She had fulfilled all her wishes...her mom's wish...her family's wish..."Ma'am we have a very complicated case in our hand and it's quite urgent...you're needed here..." a nurse informed..." m coming..." Saying so she hurried to the hospital...
She came back after six long hours..."I did it again baba..." Kalpi said keeping stethoscope on the couch and hugging Vitthal from back...
"I know it princess...you're The best..." Vitthal said holding her hand...
"Thanks baba" saying so Kalpi came and sat beside Vitthal...
"We should say thanks...you have done so much for us..." Vitthal said while his hand on Kalpi's head...
"No baba...that was my duty...you're making me low saying that..." Kalpi said...
IN NEW YORK...
Raghav was sitting on the couch of his room holding a photo frame..."I Love You...hope to meet you very soon..." Saying so he kissed the picture and held it close to his chest where his heart is...
IN MUMBAI...
"I can hear it again...his heartbeat..." Kalpi said to herself while her eyes were fixed at nothing though she had a beautiful sea in front of her eyes...
There was a knock at the door of Kalpi's room...
"Come in..." Kalpi said moving from balcony to the room...
"Hey Kalpi...how're you?" Pakhi said hugging Kalpi...
"Fine...you tell?" Kalpi said reciprocating the hug...
"Good...so...?" Pakhi said sitting on the couch...
"So?" Kalpi said with a confused look...
"Why did you reject him?" Pakhi said in an interrogating tone...
"Pakhi...this has been the umpteenth time you have asked me the same question and you know the answer..I can't tell you..." Kalpi said coldly...
"But why Kalpi?" Pakhi pleaded...
"I said no..." Kalpi said looking somewhere else than her eyes...
"If you have ever thought me as your friend you'll tell me..." pakhi said blackmailing Kalpi...
"Ok FINE..." Kalpi said finally giving in to Pakhi's constant nagging with the same question again and again...
IN NEW YORK...
"Raghav...it's enough...tell me why all of a sudden you decided to come here and you didn't even once return in past Ten Years...I want to know..." Sammy said with a voice filled with authority...
Raghav gave a feeble smile...
*FLASHBACK*
"Kalpi...you're joking na?" See I don't like these types of jokes so please..." Raghav said still with a hope that Kalpi is kidding...
"Yes I did say to Pakhi that I Love You but that doesn't mean I will marry you...in fact I was going to tell to go from here and that you're wasting time..." Kalpi said coldly...
"If you love me then what's the problem? " Raghav said tears in his eyes...
"I can't be selfish Raghav...I have dreams of aai to fulfil...I have a family whom I have to give a great life...and I can't marry you...I'm sorry..." Kalpi said looking away...
Raghav smiled..."Only this...I thought something serious...it's ok...I can wait..." Raghav said holding Kalpi's cheeks...
"it's not for 2-3 months Raghav..." Kalpi said removing his hand..." I can't destroy your life...
"How long Kalpi...one year? Three years? Five Years? Ten Years? "How many years Kalpi..." Raghav said with pure love lingering in his gaze...
"No Raghav...I can't do that with you..." Kalpi said looking away...
"What you can't do with me? I LOVE YOU Kalpi and for having you in my life I can wait till eternity and some years are nothing...I will wait Kalpi..." Raghav said holding Kalpi's face and making her to look in his eyes...
"Do you really want to do this Raghav?" Kalpi asked looking intently in his eyes...
"Yes my love..." Raghav said with an adorable smile on his face while his hand was rubbing her cheeks feeling the softness on his hand as he doesn't know when he will be able to touch it again...
"Raghav...but I have a rule to make..." Kalpi said...
"Rule?" Raghav said in confusion...
"Yeah...I need TEN YEARS...which I know is not very less but you'll do all the possible way to stay away from me...will not try to find out anything about me...and same goes with me...and IN CASE...if any one of find someone else in these years the other will stand no chance to ask anything about it...DEAL??" Kalpi said forwarding a hand to seal the deal...
Raghav pulled her in a tight embrace while a drop of tear left his eyes...
"Before I go...I want to hear it from you Kalpi..." Raghav said coming of from the embrace...
"What?" Kalpi said in confusion...
"Those three magical words..." Raghav said with a wide smile plastered on his face...
"I-I Lo-Love Y-You" Kalpi said nervously...
"What I can hear." Raghav said teasingly...
"I LOVE YOU..." saying so Kalpi dug her face in his chest...
"Ab toh maut bhi aa jaye to koi gum nahi... (I don't care now even if I die)" Raghav said with a smile...
On hearing it Kalpi smacked his chest..."don't you dare say that..." Kalpi said defensively...
"I'm sorry and...I LOVE YOU TOO...take care my love..." Raghav said hugging her again..
Raghav then went to New York City accepting the movie offer...and then the rest is history...
*FLASHBACK ENDS*
Kalpi had tears while Pakhi was left shocked...
IN NEW YORK...
"Hats off Raghav...I salute your patience and your love...by the way you have an interview lined for tomorrow...just sleep in time...it's early in the morning..." Sammy said getting up from the chair...
New Morning...New Hopes...
"Raghav get up...you have an interview in 20 minutes..." Sammy said shaking a sleeping Raghav...
"Why are you irritating Sammy?" Raghav said stretching his hands and legs...
"Irritating and me...get up dude...you have an interview in 20 minutes..." Sammy said raising his left eyebrow...
"What?" Raghav woke up with a jerk..."and you're telling it now?" Saying so he rushed to the bathroom...
He had a good shower and came out dressed perfectly in denims and a perfectly fitted light green coloured shirt...
He raced to the studio where his interview was fixed within time...he so hate being late...she has taught him that...
The interview began...
"Hello Raghav...I'm Kristen...your interviewer...it's pleasure meeting you..." Kristen said giving out her hand for a handshake...
"Pleasure was all mine..." Raghav said accepting the hand let out for the handshake...
"I must tell you I'm impressed with your punctuality...I have interviewed lot of people but you stand out in that case..." Kristen said with a smile...
"Thanks..." Raghav said...
"Have a seat...we can begin with our interview then..." Kristen said showing the adjacent seat to her's...
"Sure" Raghav said taking the seat...
"So...you're one of the most successful actor and a businessman...how come you manage everything..."
"Well...successful...I don't know...but yeah...life teaches you everything...I was born with a golden spoon but to retain that is really tough job...but I am trying to do it for my dad...my mom...friends...MY LIFE..."
"Okkk...so tell us about your new movie?"
"I can't practically talk about it now but yeah you'll get to know about it really soon..."
"You have been seen as not-so-social kinda person...any particular reason or you don't like to mingle with people? "
"Naah...nothing of that sort but yeah business and acting together...balancing is really difficult and in that I don't get time...but I love to mingle with people...it's just that time doesn't permit me..."
"You're so successful person...are you thinking of stopping somewhere...WITH SOMEONE..."
"Well...honestly speaking...I have stopped already Ten Years back...just waiting for her to get ready...I never knew that I can be what I am until she entered my life...she had taught me to be punctual...she taught me what love really is...I so damn love her I can't tell you...she had some dreams to fulfil so she refused my proposal and I respect her for that...my love is increased with every passed moment...I haven't seen her for almost 10 years but I love her insanely...hope...I will meet her soon...just wish for me..."
"I have seen people in love but you stand out there as well...she is very lucky that you love her..."
"No...it's me who's lucky to have her in my life...had it not been her in my life...I don't know where would I stand today..."
"Thank you so much for giving your time..."
