PART 15
The next day of college...
There was no classes for freshers as they are to attend the clubs, societies booth to register themselves. Raghav and addy waited for kalpi and tanya at the sitting area so that four of them can go together.
Ad: " yaar... Where are these girls? Lets go first. They will join us later."
R: " addy, lets wait for ten more minutes. They are may be on their way. Pls..", raghav begged with puppy eyes. (Actually romeo always want to be with his juliet! Rags bi nah...)
Ad: " fine!", addy said as there are no other choices left other than waiting for the girls.
Five more minutes past and the girls came to them.
T: "sorry yaar guys. I was kinda lost my student id. It took time to search for it."
Ad: " oh really begum shahiba? U cant even keep the important things carefully. First week itself u were going to lost ur id... Bravo!", addy teased her.
T: " haha... So funny," she said with straight face.
K: " oh oh.. U guys started again? Lets go yaar.. Its getting late."
R: " yeah.. Lets go."
All of them went to the auditorium where the ppl from various clubs made booths for registration.
Ad: " man, there are hell lots of clubs here...", he said impressed.
R: " thats why we have a whole day to choose."
T: " hmmm.. I know what to choose. Im going for the literature club... I love writing... So guys im going to register there. Meet u at the usual sitting area there," saying she left towards the literature club.
Ad: " im going to sign up for the football club. Rags are u coming?"
R: " yeah.. I was thinking of the same. Kalpi, we will meet u later. K?"
Kalpi smiled and look around to find the clubs she desired. She wanted to join two clubs; one is more educational and other kind of out of educational.
She saw Maths Club and went to register herself as she was so good in maths and have been the maths club leader at high school.
Then, she looked for something interesting. Her eyes fall on the DDS Club ( drama, dance & singing club... Kinda like High School Musical... Im a big fan of high school musical... And also zac efron...lol). She filled the form and directed it to the senior member when her hand collided with someone else's. She looked up and found raghav. They gave the form to the senior and walked away from the crowd.
K: " raghav, what a surprise. We both chose DDS..."
R:" yeah.. I love dancing and singing... And also took part in lots of drama in high school," he was so happy that kalpi joined the same club too.
K: " yup... There's nothing else can give peace to me more than dancing and singing. And u know right. We have to give audition today. I hope we do well and get selected."
"U will sweetheart," a male voice came from behind. It was sushant. He came near them and put his palm on raghav's chest and pushed him away from kalpi to stand near her.
Su: " sweetheart, u will definitely will be chosen. Waise, im looking forward to ur audition."
Kalpi was feeling uncomfortable whereas raghav was still standing there. Sushant saw him and..
Su: " oye hero. What r u doing here? Im talking to her. Leave!"
Raghav looked at kalpi. She nodded at raghav indicating she is okay and asked him to leave. So, raghav left the place half-heartedly and joined addy and tanya at the sitting area. Raghav was restless and when addy and tanya asked him about what happened, he told them about sushant. After sometime, kalpi came to join them.
K: " hey guys."
T: " kalpi, did that buffalo (code word for sushant created by raghav..lol.. Now u know from whom maya got idea to give pakhi 'housefly' as a code name... Haha) disturbed u?", she asked with concern.
K: " when he didn't disturb me? Well, he asked me out for a movie date," she said while searching for something in her bag.
Raghav's heart was in his throat.
Ad: " really? Wow... Thats so fast.. I mean it just have been somedays and he asked u for movie date? So r u going?", raghav looked at kalpi curiously.
K: " are u kidding me? I said i have some important work to do and i cant come...", she said while handing chocolate bars to rags, addy and tanya.
T: " i thought u will go.. After all he is mr Oberoi's son. Very rich. Other girls would have said yes. And u know what he has got hots for u," tanya teased kalpi.
K: " tanya, money is not everything. Im not one of the girls to accept someone's proposal just because he is rich. I value ppl by their nature and behaviour. And money has never been a criteria when i value someone," she said while biting her chocolate bar.
T: " well said honey. But be careful with that buffalo," she said circling an arm around kalpi's shoulder.
K: " raghav what happened? Why are u so silent?"
( our romeo was busy admiring the chocolate eating angel in front of him... Always in dreamland i say this raghav.)
R: " hmmm... Nothing... Just wondering about the audition."
Before kalpi could say something, her iPhone rang. The other three could see the screen. It was "hottie"... ( it was abhi's call... She save his number as hottie).
K: " hello my dear boyfriend," she said smiling widely. Hearing the word 'boyfriend ' raghav felt a pang of jealousy while addy and tanya listened with curiosity.
[A: " hey girlfriend. How r u? Waht u doing? Have u eaten? Any problem in uni? Anyone ragged u? Tell me.. Should i come there?", he asked in one breath.]
K: " oh oh... Hottie calm down. U r worrying with no reason. So let me answer each and every question u shoot. First im doing well. Im here sitting along my friends chatting. And yes i ate ready. There is no problem in uni. There is raging but i managed, after all im kalpana mehra hai. And there is no need for u to come here... Im fit as a fiddle... Now ok?"
[A: " but sweetheart, daddy miss u so much", he said sadly.]
K: " oh... My handsome boyfriend .. I miss u too... I miss u more than u miss me... Now dont cry or sad... U know nah, u look less handsome when u r sad."
[A: " ok... I love you.. Muah... Give daddy a kiss.."]
K: " i love you too hottie... Muah muah muah..bye", she said giving a lot of kisses to abhi through phone.
Unknown to her she just broke raghav's heart... (Poor rags baby... It was her daddy mr singhania). Kalpi cut the call and looked at her friends who are looking curiously.
K: " what?"
Ad: " kalpi, u didnt tell us u have a boyfriend.. Poor sushant.. Haha".
T: " yeah,, yaar.. Tell us about ur love story."
Kalpi was laughing loudly holding her stomach making other to confuse.
Ad: " kalpi what so funny? Why are u laughing?"
K: " actually.. U... U ... Guys thought... Haha... It ..it was my boyfriend? Haha."
T: " yeah... U were saying boyfriend, hottie, i love u and some more u were giving kisses..."
K : " oye,,my dumbo friends.. It was my daddy... I call him bf, hottie, darling and a lot more... Haha," she said laughing.
Raghav just left a breath of relief. His face which has been pale gained its colour.
R: " looks like u love ur dad a lot," he said smiling.
K: " of course... He is the best man in the whole universe.. Im his soul and he is mine... Nobody is as perfect as my daddy," she said proudly.
R: " really? When u wanna get married, u wish to have the best man too nah? So what will u do?", he asked curiously..
K: " well... It cant be.. Because my mumma has the world's best man.. So, i will get the second best but it is so hard. I have never seen such person."
R(thoughts): " i hope to be the lucky one."
The bell rang and all four of them went to the auditorium for DDS Club as rags and kalpi has to give audition. Whereas, addy and tanya went there to support them.
As they went there, they saw some seniors setting up the place for audition. Sapna was also there. She saw raghav and came to him.
Sap: " hey, hottie.. U r here. Hmmm... U will get selected for sure," she said placing her hand on raghav's chest.
Raghav was feeling annoyed whereas kalpi was trying hard to control her laughter by pressing her lips together. Raghav brushed sapna's hand off him and smiled nervously.
R: " actually.. I think we have to go there to confirm our name.. So.. Bye," saying so he left along with kalpi.
K: " haha.. Rags.. Looks like sapna wanna rape u there itself.. Haha," she said laughing.
Raghav narrowed his eyes making kalpi silent.
K: " im sorry," she said holding her ears cutely. Raghav smiled at the cutie pie.
They confirmed their names and were asked to take a rolled paper from the bowls: one for girls and the other for boys. There were going to be duet audition. So those who get same number will be partner. Raghav prayed inwardly to get kalpi as his partner. He opened his paper revealing number 5 and waited for kalpi to open the paper. Fortunately, she got number 5 as well.
K: " yipeea.. Raghav we are going to be partners. I think there is some connection between us; we end up in same club and now end up being partners," saying so she left to sit with addy and tanya.
Raghav was in cloud nine. He felt he has become the luckiest person in the whole world. And her words echoed in his ears, " we are partners", " there is some connection between us"... A smile formed on his face followed by his lip bite. He went to join the trio.
All were giving auditions with some performing well while others end up putting a comedy show in the name of singing. Then came kalpi and raghav's turn. They were given lyrics of a song chosen for them. It was a romantic song, ZEHNASEEB from hasee toh phasee. Both of them went to the stage and took the microphone. Kalpi turned towards raghav and gave a small smile. Raghav was in a second was mesmerised by the smile. The auditorium become silent and the lights dimmed with spotlights on raghav and kalpi. Kalpi closed her eyes as the music started and both of them started singing...

As they finished singing, the lights become brighter and the ppl in the whole aditorium stood up and clapped. The senior, Jayesh, who is the president of the DDS Club walked towards kalpi and raghav and praised.
J: " wow.. Guys... U r the best among the rest. And u know what? I decided that u two will be the leading singers of our club. The chemistry between u two is marvellous. It can cause fire. U two r couple hai kya?" kalpi widened her eyes while raghav was standing silently..
K: " no no no... Jayesh sir. We r just friends. In fact we know each after coming to this uni only," she explained.
J: " oh really? Im so sorry. The chemistry and the easiness in the way u guys sang the somg made me think like that. So sorry."
R: " its ok jayesh sir," in fact our romeo was happy at first when jayesh said they r couple.
J: " ok then. So, we will be having meetings to practice every thursday evening after classes. So pls be punctual. Bye.", he went away after shaking hands with raghav and kalpi.
K: " raghaaav!!! Im so happy...sooo Happy... Happy...", she jumped slightly holding raghavs arms just like a small kid.
Raghav just admired the angel dancing in happiness.. Her touch was like feather.. He wanted the time to freeze.
"Kalpi! Raghav! Ahhh... U guys rocked... We are so proud of u two," addy and tanya hugged their friends in joy.
Ad: " as u guys are selected, u guys must give us treat... "
T: " yeah.. We want treat.. We want treat.. We want treat!", addy and tanya shouted.
R: " ok...ok... But i will pay for it..", he said smiling at kalpi.
(Raghav gives treat not only for being selected but also for his new found feelings)
K: " what? Thats not fair.", she pouted.
R: " plsss," he asked with puppy eyes.
K: " tk... Only for this cute puppy eyes of urs," she said giggling.
Sushant came there towards four of them. Their laughings faltered.
Su: " hey sweetheart. U sang very well.. It felt like u sang it for me.. Am i right?" , saying he came closer to kalpi but kalpi stepped back making her back touch raghav.
K: " i didnt think of u when singing that. I was thinking about Bruno," she said innocently.
Su: " bruno? Who is he? Bruno mars hai kya?"
K: " no no.. Bruno.. Bruno is my doggie."
Raghav, addy and tanya chuckled but stopped doing so when sushant gave them a deadly glare.
Su: " babe, y dont u understand that.."
K: " sushant sir.. We are really sorry but we have to go now.. So pls excuse us..", saying so she dragged tanya with her after signalling at raghav and addy to follow them.
Addy and raghav took step to follow them but sushant held raghav's arm. Raghav looked at him questioningly.
Su: " stay away from her. She is mine," he warned and went away.
Ad: " dude, is he crazy? Cant he see kalpi is not interested in him? And now he is threatening u... Buffalo face!"
R: " leave it yaar.. He doesn't have any brain. Chalo.. The girls will be waiting for us."
All of them went to the "Restaurant Italiano" as suggested by kalpi. It is an italian restaurant.
( now u guys know italian is whose favourite... Haha).
