The party continues with drinks and starters served...
Neetu dragged her family to a corner...
N: "arre, listen to me".
Sa: "what is it neethu? Why u dragged us to the corner like dragging cows?", he asked fully annoyed.
P: " haan, mom.. Y", she was already irritated not only raghav but the other guys also didn't spare a single glance towards her.
Neethu silently nudged them to look at prem who was with them but his mind and eyes are somewhere else. To be precise on kalpi. Sahil and pakhi followed his look and found him staring at kalpi.
N: " arre, meri chocopie. Beautiful hai naa?".
Pre: "haan mom... Very very beautiful.. In fact beautiful is an understatement ", he said dreamily. Then, he realised what he said and stammered.
Pre: "mom, i.. I... What .. Say.. I.. Beautiful .. Haan, i said the decorations are so beautiful ".
N: "But i thought u r talking about the mehra's daughter".
Pre: "mom, woh..."
N: " what?? Dont u like her? U remember i was talking about ur marriage in the morning? And abhimanyu mehra's daughter is exactly same as the kind of bahu i want".
Pre: "u r always right mom", he said dreamily.
P: "wawawa.. Looks like i can smell love in the air," pakhi teased.
S: " hmmm.. Son, u should make her fall in love with u and marry u. Because she is the only daughter of the billionaire abhimanyu mehra".
Prem smiled and said, " sure dad."
On the other side, raghav was completely silent (to be more precise, boiling like volcano inside seeing all the young businessmen and businessmen's sons trying to flirt with kalpi and its clearly seen that kalpi is not interested in them.)
" The respectable ppl here in the evening, may i have your attention pls..", aj announced again and gave the microphone to priya.
Pri: " what's party without dance? So lets dance. Go and grab ur partners. DJ!! Song pls.. Enjoy!!"
Kalpi was sitting at the corner near the bar. She was exhausted rejecting offers from mostly every guy from the party. Ppl started dancing. Aj-pri, sam-maya, abhi-divya.. Raghav was standing alone battling with himself whether to ask kalpi for dance as from past 4 yrs raghav never danced with anyone. Pakhi approached raghav but raghav said no and went away from there quickly to avoid any pleadings from pakhi. Finally, pakhi find an average looking guy and dance with him. After gaining some courage, raghav started to take step towards kalpi but before that prem approached her. Raghav could hear their convo.
Pre: "hey babe. Will u pls dance with me?", he said offering his hand towards kalpi.
K: " first of all, im not babe. Its miss kalpana mehra for u mr kapoor. And second, i don't dance".
Pre: "oh ok. Miss mehra its ok. I can teach u how to dance".
Raghav control his urge to punch prem's face like a punching bag till the last drop of his blood spill out and evaporate under the sun.. ( rags is so possessive u know ... Especially when it comes to his baby).
K: "mr kapoor, i said i dont dance. That doesn't mean i dont know how to dance. Its just that im not interested in dancing now. So will u pls excuse me?", she replied rudely.
Prem went away from there insulted. While raghav smilled. Before he could reach her, abhi came there.
A: "muffin come. Lets dance. Ur mother become old ready. She cannot dance with me for a longer time."
D: "abhi!!!"
A: "oh sorry darling... Sweetheart, come lets dance".
Kalpi couldnt deny her daddy's wish. So she went there and danced with him. Raghav sat at the bar stool and admired the closeness between kalpi and her dad. The father-daughter duo were having fun chit-chat and kalpi was laughing throughout. This time the smile reaches her eyes. As raghav cannot control himself anymore, he went near the father and daughter,
R: " may i have the pleasure to dance with the beautiful lady?", he asked abhi.
Before kalpi could deny, abhi handed kalpi's hands to raghav and said,
A: "sure young man," then he went to his wife with two wine glasses in his hands.
The previous song which was kind of party song finished and a new song played. By then, most of the couples stopped dancing to get drinks. Only some were dancing, such as Sammy-maya, aj-pri. The kapoors are sitting on a round table allocated for them.
Kalpi was nervous like hell but didnt show that. So, she slowly move to take away her hands from raghav's but raghav grabed her by her waist.
R: "kalpi.."
K: "MISS KALPANA MEHRA...", kalpi gritted her teeth.
R: " fine, MISS MEHRA. Where are you going?"
K: " look mr Singhania, im not interested in dancing. So pls.", saying so she started to move but raghav's words made her stop.
R: " are u scared miss mehra? To dance with the hottest guy here?", he said winking at her.
Now, kalpi's self respect is at stake. So, she didnt move and gave a 'r u challenging me?' look to raghav. Raghav patted himself proudly in his mind. While kalpi thought, " does this jerk think i will melt for him after all he has done? Then u r wrong... I will prove u r wrong. I HATE YOU!!!", she mentally talked.
A new song played is 'dil kyun yeh mera' from kites starring hrithik roshan. Raghav smiled but kalpi was totally annoyed and cursed the dj under the breath.
And so it started.
Hmmm... Hmmm... Hmmm...
Raghav hold kalpi's left hand with his right hand whereas his left snaked around her tiny waist. Kalpi's other hand rested on raghav's left shoulder.

Raghav and kalpana started to sway with music. Kalpi kept herself at a meaningful distance away from raghav. She didnt look at raghav's face or eyes, instead she kept gazing at the floor. Whereas, raghav couldn't remove his eyes from the beauty in front of him. He kept looking at kalpi's face.Idhar nahin udhar nahin

Raghav swirled kalpi away from him while his hand still holding her hand.Teri ore chale

Then, he pulled her towards him strongly causing kalpi to hit his well built chest. Kalpi for the first time look up into raghav's eyes with her body still sticking to his.

She didn't make an effort to move away from him when she saw unconditional love for her in his dark brown eyes. The pain in those eyes hurt her.

[Neither here, nor there]
Kalpi's both hand without her consent went up his chest to snake around his neck causing raghav to let a small breath which was audible to kalpi.

Raghav's hands brushed through her bare back to reach her waist causing an electric current on her spine.
Zara der mein yeh kya ho gaya
[What's this happened in my heart in just a moment?]
Both can hear each others heart beats which they longed to hear for past 4 yrs. They moved closer to each other with no space for air unknowingly. Their body seems to follow their hearts earnings than their brains' logic.
Nazar milte hi kahan kho gaya
[After the meeting of our eyes, where has it lost? ]
Raghav took his right hand towards kalpi's left cheek and caressed it like feather. Kalpi closed her eyes due to the proximity and a single tear dropped from her eyes.
Zara der mein yeh kya ho gaya
[What's this happened in my heart in just a moment?]
Automatically, kalpi's one hand slide down his neck to the place where his heart lies. She felt like his heart his beating only for her. It was chanting her name.

Raghav turned kalpi so that her back hits his chest. With one hand around her waist, he stretched his hand with her other hand and swirl her back to their original position.Bheed mein logon ki woh hai wahan

Suddenly, raghav left her hands and took two steps back tilting his head slightly to look at her with pain.
Aur pyaar ke mele mein akela kitna hoon main yahan
[And in the fair of love, I am so alone here]
As the lines of song plays, he stretched his left hand towards kalpi waiting for her to accept his hand.Dil kyun yeh mera shor kare

Kalpi put her hand on his hand. Within a fraction of second she is again in his arms feeling all love and secured.

He again swirled her away from him, then pulled her towards him possessively.

There was small smiles in both of their faces.

Kalpi lowered her eyes feeling his gaze burning her. Raghav put his fingers on her chin and pull it up to face him.

Raghav could see the feminine shy on her face. He bite his lower lip and smiled. Kalpi's heart skipped a bit.

[It has crossed all the limits now]
Both feel like they are the only ppl there with the surrounding looked empty.
Khud bhi pareshaan hua[It troubled itself]
Kalpi herself turned around to take two step away from him with a shy smile.

[And it made me also tensed]
Before she take the third step away from him, he pulled her by her waist with his face touches her slender neck.

Kalpi's breath stopped feeling his hot breath on her neck.

She turned around as she cannot stand the teasing of his breath on her back neck.Once she turned around raghav lowered her by holding her waist.

Then, pulled her upwards with the tip of his nose brushing the way through her chest along her neck.Once they are face to face, with merely less than an inch distance, they couldn't control desire n moved closer for a kiss.
Suddenly, the music ended and clapping sound around them brought them to reality. It was like pouring a bucket full of ice water on kalpi. Immediately, she snatched her hands from raghav and went away. While raghav stand like a statue at the same place.
S: "wow.. Bro.. Thats awesome dancing. I saw a glimpse of my old raghav. Whats happening man?", sammy said teasingly.
Raghav smiled and before he reply maya interrupted.
M: "yaar, raghav. That day u said u will break pakhi's heart. I was wondered how. Today u did that when u reject her offer for dance and danced with miss mehra. Look at her face!"
(So, S &M concluded the dance was part of revenge)
Other than pakhi, prem was also fuming with anger as kalpi denied to danced with him but danced with raghav, his biggest enemy.
Aj: "babydoll. U still good in dancing haan? Well not as well as me."
Kalpi knocked his head and gave a deadly glare whereas aj was winching in pain. Both kalpi and priya hi-fied each other.
In heart, kalpi was cursing herself for feeling weak in front of the man she hates. (Well, liar! She loves him.. Haha)
While, raghav still could smell her fragrance and feather touch on him. His body was having a mixture of emotions; love, care, guilt and relief.
With ppl saying goodbye to each ither and thanks to the mehra family, all went back home. Abhi surprised raghav by hugging him when he was there to say bye.
R: "mr mehra. That was an awesome party. Thanks a lot for making it a wonderful night," he said with his eyes on kalpi who was near abhi.
A: " oh.. Raghav. Thanks for coming here young man and ur dance was absolutely fantastic. Hope to see you soon," saying so he hugged raghav while kalpi went away from there.
And all went to their respective houses. Some with happiness...some with regrets... Some with tiredness.. Some with jealousy...
