Part-2
Kalpana looked at the duo in utter shock as well as surprise. Surprised because she had never seen Raghav smiling so genuinely and shocked coz Muskan was with him. "Mimi" Muskaan cried and slipped down from Raghav's hands and went straight into her mothers arms. She hugged her tightly relived that her daughter is safe. For those few moments she forgot that Raghav is looking at them with a shocked face and curious eyes.
"Are you ok baby...sorry Mimi left you for long." Kalpana caught her ears and asked for forgiveness. Muskaan held her mothers hand and hugged her again. She tightly embraced her and went on to ask "baby Mimi had told you not to leave the place then why did you come here?" "Solllyy...I was getting bored and no one was there so I came upstairs and saw this biiiggg cabin."
"You know Mimi got so worried for you." Girish spoke in between. Muskaan looked at him and went ahead and touched his feet.He took her in his arms "Solllyyy" she said while Girish kissed her forehead. "How is my princess doing?" "I am doing good Dadu thank you"
"Muskaan is your daughter!!!" Raghav exclaimed more out of shock than being surprised on knowing the fact while Kalpana was lovingly looking at her daughter. Girish and Kalpana looked at each other in shock as they completely forgot about his presence. They looked at him while keeping their anxiety at bay. "You didn't answer me Kalpana." He inquired in anger. "Yes Uncle, she is my Mimi" Muskaan answered the question on her mothers behalf oblivious of the tension building in the atmosphere.
"Kalpana, you take Muskaan and leave for home." "No!!! On the contrary Dad you take Muskaan and leave for their home while she stays here and answer my questions." Raghav said in a straight tone. "Raghav" "Dad I need answers and I need answers from Kalpana." Bringing a smile on his face Raghav came ahead and said "Muskaan will you go for your home with Dadu...Mimi has an urgent work." She looked at her mother who nodded in affirmative and she said yes. "Uncle will you come for dinner... I promised you for lunch but Mimi has work" Kalpana looked at her in shock unable to say anything. "Okie...uncle will come" "Bye" "Bye" Raghav looked at his father and hinted him to go ahead with Muskaan. He has never stopped Raghav from doing anything post Ayesha's death but today he cannot let Raghav question Kalpana. He has to stop him. "Kalpana you didn't listen to me beta. I said go to home with Muskaan. I approve your leave for the rest of the day. Go. Don't worry I'll handle him." "Dad" "Raghav Singhania I'm the owner of this company and I don't appreciate anyone crossing their limits." He said with a stern face and anger filled voice. Kalpana left the place with Muskaan leaving the father son duo alone.
Before Raghav could ask anything Girish said "I would like you to maintain the privacy and don't ask anything from Kalpana about Muskaan." "Dad she lied...no one knows she has a daughter. Why is she hiding her daughter?" "So you know at least this much that she is hiding her daughter...don't you think there has to be a strong reason behind it. And she isn't lying I have appointed her and I know she has a daughter. End of discussion right here." "Dad you are wrongly supporting her. She cannot hide such a big truth. The company as every right to know about her family. She cannot lie." "Raghav Singhania I think I made myself clear..." Girish left the cabin leaving a curious and enraged Raghav behind.
Raghav checked the records of Kalpana. She hasn't mentioned a single detail about Muskaan. In her marital status she has written Single. "You lied and Dad knows. I'll find it Dad even if you don't tell me I'll find it on my own. From now onwards Kalpana my eyes will be on you. I'll find out the reason behind this. I won't ask you coz I know Dad supports you but I will trace it on my own."
Kalpana reached home. Her mind was still clinging on the thoughts about Raghav. "What will he do? Will he ask me again? The anger that I have seen in his eyes I'm sure he won't sit quietly but what will he do?" "Kalpana...Kalpana...Kalpana" her mother called her out for the third time. She stirred when her mother tapped her shoulder. "Where are you lost? Is there something wrong? Ain't you feeling well? Why did you get late? Those were the series of questions which Kalpana wanted to avoid but now they were right before her.
"Ma" she cried and supplied the entire incident that happened during the noon. Her mother was equally shocked... She wanted Kalpana to talk with Raghav when she was enrolled in the company to avoid any sort of misunderstanding but Girish denied and today her fears came true. "I told you to tell him at the first place but no...no body listened to me. Now you tell me how are you going to face the situation. Well he accept the recently developed situations regarding Muskaan's safety. Kalpana you have hidden the truth from him, do you think he will accept the facts now."
"Ma please I'm already in tension please don't increase it." She yelled at her mother. Already she is going through so much and now this new one. "Madhu please relax and calm down. Muskaan is sleeping she'll wake up. I don't want her to listen anything." Mahesh Kalpana's father said politely."I am sure Girish will handle the situation and don't forget Raghav is a sensible man. He has also gone through a very rough patch and his family is steel reeling under the effects. So just calm down. OK" She nodded in affirmative.
"Raghav what was that? You know Mahesh is my friend and Kalpana is his daughter. When I told her to go why did you counter me?" "Dad listen I have no intention to hurt you nor her but I am also managing the affairs of the company and I have every right to know why she is hiding her daughter!" "Raghav if I know she has a daughter isn't it enough for you?" "But Dad..." "Raghav" Shobha Raghav's mother interrupted. "Don't super cede your Dad's authority. We haven't stopped you from doing anything but that really doesn't mean you'll forget your limits." "Bhai its ok na if she has a daughter. Its not affecting her efficiency and as an employer we must be interested in our employees's efficiency and output and Kalpana is doing really well. So I guess you should leave the topic. Please its family dinner don't let an outsider or her story bring any sort of disturbance in our time." Raghav left the topic for the time being as every one was against him.
"Kalpana I guess you should tell him about Muskaan. But not about the recent situation. Just the fact that Muskaan is your daughter." "Ma Raghav anyways knows the fact that Muskaan is my daughter if I'll go on and tell him this very fact from my mouth he will shoot series of question which I and probably you too don't want to answer." Madhu bowed down her head. The memories of past came before her which only brought pain and tears.
Kalpana gently put her hand on her mother's and squeezed it lightly. "Its past Ma...please don't cry...you wouldn't get what you have lost." "I have lost so much...I have lost you... Even when you're here...everything has changed. Somehow we dealt with the situation but now with the events happening past few days I'm really worried... What's in store for us?"
"Mimi Raghav Uncle didn't come for dinner. He had promised me he'll then why he didn't come?" Muskaan inquired during dinner." "Beta...Raghav Uncle is a busy man...he must be busy into something but he is a gentleman he doesn't break his promise I'm sure he will come as and when he will be free. Ok now eat food and concentrate on it." "Ok" she smiled and carried her eating.
Kalpana's phone rang. She looked at the number it was Raghav's. She was afraid in answering the call. Unwillingly and out of fear she answered the call. "Hello" "I wanna talk to Muskaan." Pat came the answer. Muskaan who was trying to sleep was looking at her mother. "Muskaan baby its Raghav Uncle." She handed her the phone and continued caressing her hair. "Hello Raghav Uncle why didn't you come for dinner?" She questioned. "I'm sorry baby I was busy in something and got free just now. I have called to say sorry to you and I promise we will have dinner together soon." "Ok...Mimi told me that you don't break promises I'll wait." "You're a sweetheart... Good night" "Good Night"
Muskaan's words echoed in his ears. "Mimi told me that you don't break promises." "I thought she will never allow me to talk with her daughter but no she did allow me and also told good things about me to her. What is she... I haven't known her though she works in my company and today when we met she came with a big secret hidden in her eyes. Kalpana I'll solve you if you're a puzzle. I hate liars and you lied." He called someone.
Next day was filled with anxiety. Kalpana got ready to drop Muskaan to school. They reached only to find Raghav already standing there. He called out Muskaan's name. The lil girl looked at the direction and went running towards him. "Raghav Uncle..." "Hi Mushki...may I call you Mushki" she looked at her mother who approved of it and hugged him tightly. He too held her protectively in his arms. He went towards Kalpana and politely asked "Lunch" she looked at him in confusion when he asked "Can we both have lunch together if you allow I mean you, she and me." She kept looking at him" He should be angry with me but instead he is taking my permission for lunch. What is going on in his mind?" "Kalpana...kalpana" "Mimi" "haan...kya" "I asked can we three have lunch together." "Okkk...ya" "Thanks we will go together to pick her up." "Ok Mushkii" he raised his hand for hi-five "Ok" and completed the action.
Muskaan kissed her Mom and went inside the school. Kalpana turned to leave when Raghav stopped her "Don't think that I have forgotten yesterday's incident. I don't forget easily. Its just that Mushkii has nothing to do with your lie and I won't include her into it. So relax she won't come to know anything about our tiff." Saying so Raghav went ahead for office. Kalpana followed him and sat in her car and drove for her office.
"Who was with Muskaan? Who was that Man? What was he doing with her?" An unknown an asked her questions. He had been following her from her home. "You are no one to ask me this question. How dare you come here?" "Don't think you will leave her in school and will pick up will provide her security. I want Muskaan give her to me or else I'll snatch her from you." "You can't take Muskaan away from me. I'm standing between you and my daughter." "You cannot stop me...I'm telling you for the last time give me Muskaan or else you have to pay for the consequences." "I won't give her to you. Not until I'm alive." "Fine then see you in court let me see how you manage to save her from me in the Court." "You won't go to court." "Who will stop me. You." He smiled wickedly at her. "I'll and I shall file a custody case. Let me see how you win." He smiled evilly again and left from there leaving a dreaded Kalpana behind who was shivering because of fear. She fell down on her knees and started crying. The fear of loosing her daughter engulfed her completely.
Raghav was standing beside the window of his cabin. He looked intently at Kalpana who was having a verbal fight with someone down stairs at the entrance of the Singhania Industries. He wasn't able to listen to anything between the two but Kalpana was looking tensed and afraid. He was taken aback when he saw Kalpana crying. It wasn't expected and he somewhat understood the situation is more grave than what seems from far.
"Is it related to Muskaan? Is it related to the lie which Kalpana told? Is it the reason why Kalpana is hiding Muskaan from everyone's eyes? I have to find out. It seems she is in deep trouble. But first I have to ask Dad if he knows about it." The previous bitterness for her was now gone. The face of an afraid and tensed Kalpana was now flashing before his eyes.
People are either secretive by nature or they are forced to become one due to the problem they face. Kalpana changed and so did Raghav. Both had reasons. They weren't like this before. Time changes you and only time has the power to make you the same as you were.
Sometimes you instantly connect with someone but sometimes you stand up because there's a personal reason behind it and you connect to that. There's a reason behind why Raghav so wants to help Kalpana.
