Part-33
The whole night situation was same for both. They kept tossing on their bed thinking about each other.
"Life had been so different when you were there with me here in our home...my home and now its all same. I wish things get back to normal state soon. I truly miss you and our friendship."
"Life was so different when I was with him. Who would have thought The Raghav Singhania with whom my equation started on the wrong note, now though he forged friendship with me yet his intentions were true and pure and see even though I am with Dhaval I am him mising him badly."
"Kalpi I know this day would have come one day but never thought it will come so soon. I don't know but it feels empty inside since the time you left. Why am I feeling like this I have no idea but yes I want my old Kalpi and our old friendship back."
" Bappa I don't know why my life took such a turn, I know you must have planned something for me after all I am your child but can I ask something from you...please bring things back to normal soon I am feeling alone...empty from inside. His friendship meas a lot to me but at the same time I cannot forget the fact that he is my Boss. Dhaval is somewhere right its not a crime to be a friend of your Boss but then when I lived with him I didn't know what sort of relationship I had with him prior to accident. He is the same person who wanted me to apologise to him for a mistake that I didn't commit at all but then now I know why he was such a rough person. He has seen a lot I guess and that made him what he was when I first met him. He has changed completely." She remembered their outing and with a small smile she drifted off to sleep.
Mornings always represent new beginnings. It was a new beginning for Raghav as well as for Kalpi. Both slept with each others thoughts in mind and heart and both got up with same emotions.
Raghav, Sammy and Priya were seated in dining area and were taking their breakfast. Sammy was ocassionally staring at Raghav. He was surprised to see such a coolness on his face. Instead of feeling sulky or gloomy he was peacefully having his breakfast. "Why isn't he reacting to this whole situation?" Sammy thought. He wanted to know what is going on his mind and the best way to do that was to discuss it.
"This house is looking so different without her. All these months weekends used to be fun but now...I miss her." Sammy sighed sadly. "True...I miss her too." Priya second Sammy's view. "Raghav...Ain't you missing her?" Sammy asked curiously
I do miss her Sammy...afterall she is my best friend. But then it was suppose to happen someday...isn't it!!! I always knew when she will regain her memory she wouldn't stay here as it will go agains't her principle...her self respect. Sammy I know you must be wondering how can I stay so calm and composed when last night my life took such a big turn...but remember...what Uncle said I should only carry sweet or good memories of our friendship. And Thats what I am doing. She is not here on this weekend Sammy but that doesn't mean she won't come here at all. Its just matter of time.TIME...TIME...Sammy. She needed time to overcome all this awkwardness and adapt the change and I'll give her. She has gone from here only to come back with new spirit and energy. To comeback without any apprehensions, inhibitions. To comeback freely like before. I have always worshipped time and I know it takes test but its not rude." Raghav stood up from his seat and went towards his room.
Sammy kept looking at him till the time Raghav reached his room. He wasn't surprised this time with the way and manner in which he was handling the situation instead he was looking at him with more respect. He was in awe of him. "Raghav has changed so much Samar. I still remember the day when he lost his parents, his world crashed down before his own eyes and made him what he was till these years. Suddenly Kalpi entered in his life. They both started off on a sour note but then they became best of friends. I mean there was a time when we had high doubts about Raghav's capibility of handling a relationship but slowly he proved us wrong. They way he has handled this situation is comendable. It was such a sensitive situation and he handled it so maturely. He has changed and the change is for good. Life is strange sometimes and its ways are far more strange than we can think off." Priya felt happy on seeing this noticeable change in Raghav.
Sammy looked at Priya and smiled. Priya got lil confused for this time Sammy's smile had a hidden meaning within itself. She brushed off the thought and looked forward for next day. Kalpi is gonna join office from tomorrow and moreover its a big day since she is going to give her presentation on which she worked really hard and now its going to be result time for her.
Dhaval was preparing dinner for both of them. Kalpana was standing in balcony looking at the busy street and heavy traffic. The jammed roads and continous noise population was adding more to the chaos that was already running in her mind. She was having a presentation tomorrow. Her first ever presentation in Singhania Industries. She was feeling low. Already so much has occurred in these two days and now this pressure of presenation was too much too handle. It's not that she is not prepared but now things have changed. Earlier when she was given this project she could hardly get the details and met with an accident and then post that she read all finance books to make the presentation since her skills were not as perfect as they were and now when the time has arrived she is back in the same form but the difference lies in perception. Earlier it was just a project given by Singhnia Industries to her to handle but now it carries immense trust of Raghav on her. He trusted her when she didn't trust herself and now its kinda acid test. Whether she will be able to make it or will Raghav's trust on her prove to be his over confidence? Numerous thoughtd were coming and going. Hundreds of questions came in her mind to which she had no answer. All she knew was tomorrow she has to give more than her best. She will make Raghav proud of herself. Atlast a small smile made its place on her face.
"Kalpi if you have viewed the entire traffic will you come here and help me out in the kitchen. I guess this dinner is for both of us and so morally you should help me in making it. Come here...now" Dhaval shouted while getting pissed off with onions which were burning his eyes and were making him cry for no reason.
Kalpi came out of her trance with this sudden outburst and came in. "What do you want?"She asked. "Your contribution in our dinner." "Dhaval I guess you know I don't know anything in kitchen. Its just coffee or tea and that too I cannot take guarantee whether they will be good or not. So please do it on your own and make it fast I am damn hungry." "Excuse me!!! This is just not my dinner and even I don't hold an expertise in cooking. So without further arguments take these Tomatoes and cut them properly. You know I didn't have food yesterday and in morning also the food was okay types so I am equally hungry like you or may be more than you. Come here and take rhese." He said pointing towards the plate where Tomatoes were kept.
Kalpi looked at him. She remembered Raghav. Never ever he asked her to do any work. Its not that she is not interested in any of the household chores but then he never asked her to do so. She remembered how they had a coffee which he made for them though he was extremely tired after such an hectic day and yet they had coffee and movie. She smiled on rememberibg the time she had spent with him. She realised how much Raghav cared for her, it was evident from his eyes.
"Kalpi...Kalpi..." Dhaval snapped his finger before her and she came out of her thoughts. "what?" "Tomatoes...peel them and cut them." "Ya." She took the knife and started her job. Dhaval looked at her with a smile. "I know Kalpi you might be feeling that how rude I am but its tge only way I can make you realise Raghav's importance in your life. Its the only way to make you come out of your awkwardness. Kalpi you don't know or probably you are not aware what he means to you but I am."
"Its done" she said in a low voice. Dhaval took the plate from her hands and cobtinued his cooking." "Shall I ask you something?" "Sure go ahead." Kalpi thought for a while and then asked "Dhaval I got my memory back on seeing you but what if things would have remained the same as it were then...how would you have introduced yourself to me?" Momentarily Dhaval's hand stopped working. He never thought he will face such a question. His forehead creased a little. Kalpi was reading his every expression and knew they had planned another LIE.
"Speak it out" "Kalpi I had together with Raghav and Sammy decided to introduce myself as...as..."He huffed a lil and said it in one go "As Sammy's cousin."
"Matlab another lie" She turned her face. These two days all she got to know was lies spoken by people who are close to her heart. She felt low, dejected. "Kalpi listen I hadn't met you after leaving from Delhi. Then I got to know about this accident. I had just two choices, one to leave from here without seeing you and second to speak a lie and be near to you. Kalpi you are the only one for me. Because of you I met them. I was scared and when I got to know about your illness I was broken. I didn't know what to do. We went to Dr. Jasraj." She turned on hearing this. He continued "He told us that your mind is not fit enough to take anything from past. If I introduce myself as your childhood buddy then your curiosity to know about your past will rise in manifolds and it will stress your mind further. Now you tell me did we have any options. No we didn't."
She moved away from him and went towards her room when Dhaval stopped her. "Kalpi complete amnesia is such a state where a person is not aware about his ownself and..." "Who knows this better than me Dhaval." Kalpi cut his sentence in mid and turned again but stopped on listening to what he said. "Then you must be knowing you are amongst those few lucky people whose identity is still intact. Raghav, Sammy lied to you I agree but they never did anything that altar your identity. You were Kalpana before accident, you were Kalpana after accident and you are Kalpana now too. Its just because of him that you lead a safe life. For once step into his shoes and ask yourself what would you have done if you had been on his place. I guess all your unanswered questions will get answered. You'll be able to analyse the situation in a much better manner." He waited for her to respond.
"Dhaval I am not angry with you nor with Raghav,Sammy or Priya. I am angry on myself. I am so weak that you guys were forced to speak lie. I am weak...I am weak." She cried and wiped her tears but her eyes were not ready to stop them. "Kalpi a man is allowed to be weak. If he is expected to be strong why can't he be weak??? C'mon if this the point of your annoyance then just flush it out from your system. You ain't different. Its not a rule for you to be strong everytime. And see the positive side of it you got gem of people as your friends. Stop crying." She hugged him tightly and he smiled. He knew he was half done with the task in hand
"Its a big day for her. I just hope she pulls it off." Raghav was talking to himself while adjusting his shirt. He thought to call her but then he resisted doing it. "What if she doesn't like it.Dammit."
Kalpi was standing in front of her wardrobe. She was looking out for a dress in which she looks professional and presentable. Finally she picked a Salwaar Kameez (The one she wore in episode 168) and got ready. Although she had made many presentations before but this time it was different. She cannot...she just cannot spoil Raghav's goodwill and reputation. May be this was the reason why the pressure was so high this time. She did deep breathing session for sometime to calm her nerves. Finally she came out of her room and headed for office.
"All the Best I know you will do well." Dhaval said while hugging her. "Thank You" is all she managed to say.
When a person has lead all his life alone, to remain strong is the only way left for that person to lead his life. If anything makes them weak it hurts them because they are not used to such privileges. Same happened with Kalpi. Though she had Masshi and Dhaval yet she always kept the record straight that she is an orphan. She isn't blessed with the choice of being weak. She cried not coz of lies that were spoken to her but due to her inability to handle truth. She has never been weak. But these days she wasn't strong enough to take everything that comes to her. She was angry on herself for being weak. But then what Dhaval said cannot be denied. Humans though rich or poor with family or without family are allowed to become weak at certain point of time in their life. Kalpi was reluctant to accept the fact but then it came from Dhaval and he shares a similar history like her.
Now Kalpi is heading to office. She is tensed and so is Raghav. Lets see what happens.
