Well we are talking about the charming and talented actressRachana Parulkar who was last seen on Zee TV show Ek Mutthi Aasmaan as Kalpi opposite handsome Ashish Chowdhry. Which is your favourite destination that you would love to visit soon?

I would love to go to Maldives.

Which is your favourite street food?

My favourite street food is Vada Pav with lots of mirchis and chutney.

How does it feel to be one of the most popular actress on TV?

I feel very blessed, full of gratitude and I just can't thank my fans enough. I just don't know how to show my happiness.

What are you doing now? When will we see you back onscreen?

I hope soon (laughs) and right now I am just relaxing, chilling and having a couple of meetings but not doing any show right now.

What is your dream role?

I would love to portray Veronica of Cocktail which Deepika Padukone essayed and also what Rekha played in old Khoobsurat.

If you had to choose between dancing and acting, what would you choose?

I think dancing and acting both go hand in hand because if you are an actress, you need to have moves as well you just can't be a still actor and if you are a dancer you need to act because you need expressions, you need to express. So yeah can't pick one, it will be both. It's just like two people in a relationship so it's incomplete without the other.

What kind of roles do you want to portray in future?

Well definitely good roles where I get a chance to show my talent, not just stand. I was very happy with Kalpi's role, also as I said I would love to play Veronica of Cocktail and Rekha's role in old khoobsurat. So yeah I would love to portray these characters if I get a chance on television.

Who are your friends in the industry?

Well I have lots of friends there is Pallavi, Ashish then there is Shabbir, Karanvir, Teejay, Mrunal and so many others.

Share your fitness and beauty tips and also secret behind your long and silky hair.

Haha! (Laughs) see my fitness tip is I don't gym, I believe in dance. I believe in eating, eat as much as you want till the time you are satisfied also workout at the same time not just keep hogging. For my silky hair, well it's all my mom's effort that I have long and silky hair. When I was a child she used to put hibiscus, she used to oil my hair regularly, applied curd, lots of things she did for my hair actually so that's the reason of my long hair. It's all because of mumma!

What are your future projects?

Future projects, well it's nothing as of now but if and when, my Twamily would be the first one to know about it.

Will we ever get to see you and Ashish together in a show?

Now if they really definitely want and if god is listening to them, then you never know we might come together. So well yeah you never know.

Have you got any new offers? Are you auditioning for any new shows and also have you been offered anything opposite Ashish after EMA?

Yes I do go for meetings and all. See offers come but then I can't talk about it till the time I am not sure because there is no point making a big fuss about it. Also with Ashish so far no one has offered me anything.

Are you similar to Kalpi in real life?

Yes I am, I am very open, straight forward, I speak what is right, I don't tolerate lies and injustice. I like to handle situations in an appropriate way, I am not like a doormat who will keep listening, if something is wrong, I like to give it back but in a good way without hurting anyone.

What is your pet name?

Roch, Rach, Rachu well lots if people call me with different names. At home it's different, outside is different.

Are you interested in mythological dramas?

Yeah why not, it's different. An actor should be choosy no doubt but it depends on the role. Even if it's mythological, it should be an important role where people should notice you, it should not be where you are just standing, just ready and decked up and you are doing mythology just for the heck of it.

Who is your idol?

See parents are obviously there, no doubt about it but if you ask me it's my kathak guru Uma Dogra.

Who was your first crush?

(Laughs) Actually there were many, crushes are those for whom you have certain likings and you just forget it. When I was not into acting and I wasn't doing any show I used to like Karanvir Bohrafor his acting and looks. It's fun watching him.

Which actor do you like the most? Would you like to play a challenging role like what Priyanka Chopra did in Barfi?

Ya of course would love to do something like what Priyanka did in Barfi. Talking about favourite actor, right now it's Deepika Padukone but the person who inspired me to do acting was Urmila Matondkar after watching Rangeela.

You are a trained kathak dancer, want to know more about your dancing projects and tours.

Right now I am not doing any dance shows or anything. Yes I do Kathak and may be in future I will have my own institute. Right now nothing but in future yeah I will explore more.

How did you feel when you got to know that you are going to act opposite Ashish Chowdhry?

Firstly I knew who he was so I was happy but at the same time I was little nervous that how he is going to be as he comes from Bollywood background but all this was proven wrong. He is a superb person and a wonderful co-star.

If you were trapped in an island, what are the three things you wish to have with you?

Obviously my mobile, lots of food as I love eating and may be TV.

Lastly any messages for all your fans?

I just want to say that my Twamily as well as my other fans have really supported me and they have stayed by my side. I just want to thank them which is very less to show my gratitude towards them. I will keep them happy always and won't let them down. Just keep spreading love and happiness. Thank you so so so so so very much
