Vihaan was feeling very restless these days. It was an action adventure movie and some of the shooting was going to happen in beautiful Leh and Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir. Vihaan who had never been there before but had heard great reports of the scenic beauty of the place was previously very excited about the shoot. But as the days for his shoot drew closer, the excitement that he normally felt, while going on an outdoor shoot was missing this time. And he knew the reason for the same. He wanted Kalpana to go with him, but he was not able to come up with an excuse to take her with him. He would miss her terribly and he was very sure of it, but was not sure what to do about it.

Kalpana who was previously very indifferent to Vihaan's going for his outdoor shoot, started to feel very differently as the day of his departure grew closer. She was seriously unhappy and did not understand the reason for it.

Naani had already made plans for going to Jaipur for her annual visit to her ancestral home for the annual Puja and Kalpana was going to be alone in the big house.

The morning of the day of his departure arrived. Vihaan had to leave very early in the morning and he was feeling very grumpy.

His old servant brought him his cup of coffee. As soon as he sipped his coffee, he asked, "Did Kalpana make this coffee. Is she awake?"

The servant answered, "Yes, Vihaan beta, she is awake and she has already made your coffee and breakfast. She is an amazing girl, just like her dad".

Hearing this all Vihaan smiled inadvertently and thought to himself. "She really is an amazing girl."

Vihaan went to the breakfast table and he felt a sense of anti-climax not to see Kalpana there. He started his breakfast desultorily. The breakfast was delicious and soon he had gobbled up the entire food in front of him. "She must have woken up early to cook the breakfast and must have gone back to sleep. It is so very early."

Kalpana was feeling unusually upset. She had gotten up early to cook his breakfast but when the time to join him for breakfast came she felt decidedly uncomfortable as she did not want to him to go and she worried that she would ask him to stay back.

She suddenly looked at the clock and realized that it was time for Vihaan to leave and inadvertently she sprinted out from her room and ran towards the door, where Vihaan was just exiting the house.

Kalpi reached the door and suddenly Vihaan looked back from the stairs where he was standing. He took in her whole appearance in a single glance. She was dressed in a simple churidaar in light blue and her whole hair was freshly washed with drops of water still clinging to her hair. He was mesmerized and both kept staring at each other for a long long time. All he wanted to do was to drag her into the car and take her with him.

She went towards him slowly a sudden shyness engulfing her. "Take care and have a safe trip" Kalpi said with a forced smile.

Vihaan looked at her and said "Thanks". But all he wanted to say to her was "Come Away with me".

An agitated Vihaan drove off leaving a sorrowful Kalpi behind.

Kalpi had looked at the absolutely stunning pictures of the the Leh and Ladakh area and she really wished she was there with Vihaan.

Vihaan was also awed by the natural beauty of the Leh and Ladakh region and the vista was spectacular with the absolute serene and the pristine area untouched by civilization, but he was unable to enjoy it at all.

During the times during the shooting he kept himself busy but at night he missed Kalpana the most. He had subconsciously started looking forward to the stimulating conversation he had with Kalpana every night. The network was also very poor in that area and he was unable to communicate much with Kalpana and it left him feeling restless and unhappy.

3 days after Vihaan had been in Leh, Rahul got in touch with him and informed him about a new deal that required Vihaan's signature.

Suddenly Vihaan had a brainwave and he said "Ask Kalpana to come here with the papers. I will sign it and send it back. I also have some other work with her. Arrange a chopper to bring her here. "

Rahul immediately said, "The other party is not in any hurry, I have already informed them that you will only be back next week and they have agreed to wait until then."

Vihaan got irritated and told Rahul, "Just do as I say, Rahul. Send Kalpana with the papers."

As soon as Kalpana was informed about the trip she felt excited beyond belief. But she was not sure whether she was more excited about meeting Vihaan or seeing the beautiful place.

Vihaan was eagerly waiting for Kalpana's chopper to land, but could not go to meet her as he was engaged in his shooting. He was somehow glad about the shooting because he was sure if he was idle his impatience would definitely have driven him to rush to welcome her.

Kalpana exited from the chopper and felt a sense of acute disappointment in not seeing Vihaan there, then she realized that he must be busy with his shooting.

All through the chopper ride she was totally open-mouthed by the natural beauty of the place and she was dying to explore the place, but she did not know how much time she would be in the place.

She went into the hotel room and was totally stunned to see the dazzling view from the windows of the room. She did not know that Vihaan had specifically asked for a room with a spectacular view for her.

The sharp, crisp air of the mountains and the scenic views from her window had her spell-bound and she spent a long time just admiring everything.

Vihaan had somehow convinced the director to finish shooting his scenes today, so that he could take a day off tomorrow. He had already made plans for taking Kalpana to Pangong Tso lake. He was dying to see the amazing landscape of the place in the company of Kalpana.

The sudden trill of her mobile shattered her reverie and she smiled when she saw it was Vihaan. Vihaan asked her to come to his room.

As soon as he heard the knock on the door, he leapt up from his seat and rushed to the door. As soon as he opened the door he automatically smiled taking in her appearance. She was looking absolutely cute and adorable and the temptation to pull her into a hug was very strong, but he resisted it.

She had the documents that he needed signed in one hand and she extended it towards him and smiled her dazzling smile.

He took it and dropped it nonchalantly onto the side table.

"Vihaan, these are the documents you need to sign urgently" Kalpi said.

"I know, come in now. Are you going to be standing outside, while I sign these documents", Vihaan teased her.

She came into his room and Vihaan took the documents to the table and started going through them. Kalpi then looked at his clearly and noticed how handsome he looked dressed in his jeans and black shirt and a tan coloured leather jacket. She thought to herself, "I really missed him"

Vihaan suddenly looked up at her and caught her staring and she blushed to the roots of her hair.

Vihaan said, "I will do this later. Am hungry, lets get dinner. Do you want to us to go to the restaurant or order in".

Kalpi said, "If you don't mind, lets order in"

Vihaan was happy to hear that as he did not want to go to the restaurant as the whole film crew would be dining there and he wanted to spend some time alone with Kalpana.

Vihaan and Kalpi decided the menu together decided the menu, and Kalpi was stuck again how considerate he was.

Soon they were into animated conversation with each other and both did not stop even while eating the food. It was as if they were starved of each other's company more than the food.

"Kalpana be ready tomorrow morning by 5.00 am, as we are going to Pangong Tso lake." Vihaan said.

"But am I not to fly out today with the papers", Kalpi asked totally confused.

Vihaan who was totally looking forward to this trip, took this as Kalpana's disinterest and got irritated and said. "So you are in a hurry to get back to Mumbai and are not interested in this trip."

"No, its not that. I would love to see the place. Isn't it the place where the last scene of 3 idiots was shot? But I thought these documents were urgent." Kalpi said her voice brimming with excitement.

"If you want to come to see the place with me, I would love to take you there. These papers can wait" Vihaan said.

"Thanks so much. I can't believe we will going to Pangong Tso together. Thank you, thank you, thank you" Kalpi said and hugged him without thinking.

Immediately she realized what she had done and she separated herself from Vihaan, blushed and looked down.

Vihaan who had totally enjoyed having her in his arms smiled when she saw her blush understood she was embarrassed.

He told her, "Go to sleep early today. We need to leave early tomorrow."

Kalpi and Vihaan both could not go to sleep in their excitement and both were ready before time.

By 5.00 am both were downstairs boarding their SUV. Kalpi had been informed that the journey would take about 5 hours.

The route passed through the beautiful Ladakh countryside. The whole route was absolutely spectacular with winding roads and beautiful snowy mountains. En-route they visited various beautiful monasteries of Thicksey, Hemis and Shey. The monasteries were the most peaceful and divine places she had ever visited. Kalpi wished she could have stayed there for ever enjoying the serenity and silence of these places. Vihaan felt the same, but they could both knew that they did not have enough time. Vihaan made a promise to himself that he would definitely make a more leisurely trip with Kalpana to this place again.

The first glimpse of the serene, bright blue waters and rocky lakeshore of Pangong Tso was something which would be unforgettable for both of them. The place felt like heaven on earth as if God's have come down and painted a beautiful canvas to enthrall the world.

The place was an absolute romanace addict's delight. The beauty of the place was beyond description. The lake and the mountains seemed to change colour as the temperature changed. There were lot of tourists, but everyone seemed to lost in their own worlds. Vihaan who was anyway dressed in a hooded jacket and glares had his face partially covered and hence was totally unrecognizable. Hence Vihaan and Kalpi were left alone to enjoy the beauty of the place.

Kalpi who was totally dressed in multiple layers of clothing was still cold, but she would not have given up on this experience for anything in the world. Vihaan looked at her and thought she looked absolute cute with her nose all red from cold and Vihaan wanted to just kiss her on the nose.

Kalpi put her leg into the beautiful lake and started shivering and jumping because of the extreme cold and Vihaan took her into his arms and hugged her tight to warm her up and she went into his arms willingly. He caressed her back and the hug which was just a warm hug suddenly turned more passionate and it roused feelings which were confusing for both of them. Kalpi wanted to lean into him and Vihaan had a sudden urge to kiss her trembling mouth.

Kalpi suddenly became aware of her surroundings and she moved away from him leaving both of them with a sense of loss.

Vihaan asked, "Kalpana, do you want us to leave. Are you too cold?"

Kalpana said, "No, no, I don't want to go. This is the most beautiful place on earth. I never want to leave this place. I don't care if it is cold." Her teeth were chattering while she said, but her face reflected all the joy in the world. The innocence and excitement on her face held Vihaan in a thrall.

He said, "Hold my hand, it will keep you warm." Kalpi gratefully held his hand.

They both enjoyed the most beautiful day which was made perfect because of each other's company. Both of them felt an intense feeling of sadness as they were leaving the place. They never wanted the day to end both of them had never had such an enjoyable day.

During the drive back home both of them were silent. Kalpi and Vihaan were both trying to relive every moment of the day. Suddenly Kalpi started nodding off and Vihaan went and sat closer to her and soon her head drooped off to his shoulders. She had a beatific smile on her face in her sleep as if she was having a most beautiful dream. She suddenly snuggled closer to him in her sleep as if she was searching for warmth. He put his arms around her gathered her closer to his chest and Kalpi continued to sleep. Vihaan thought to himself, "What is happening to me? I have never been very interested in girls previously, but why does she affect me so much. I have always been in company of women who have topped the most beautiful lists in India and around the world, but I have never craved for any of their company. Is it only because she is intelligent and witty, then why do I feel attracted to her? " He finally decided, "I won't overthink this. She is just special and I will treat her like that"

Kalpi woke up after some time to see herself snuggled against Vihaan's massive chest with his arms holding her tight. His eyes were closed and he was fast asleep. For a moment she just enjoyed the warmth of his body and snuggled closer, but suddenly reality stuck her hard and she struggled to break free of his embrace. Vihaan did not open his eyes, but hugged her closer in his sleep and finally Kalpi gave up her struggle and went back to sleep.
