I am writer in English, Hindi and Tamil and I watch all tele serials especially Hindi ones .
So, the present story writers of EMA Damini kanwal shetty and akashdeep, Creative head Meesha Goutham and creative person Pawandeep khwathra have all together should be held entirely responsible for this mess in EMA.😭
Actually right from the beginning the story has been going a bit awry only.😲
When they came with the promo the producers DJ's creative unit claimed that EMA is about the trials and tribulations of domestic workers in Mumbai and did it do full justice to that claim.NO. Kamla bhai worked in only one house that is the kapoors and there she was originally not treated well but later on she was almost treated as a member of the family. So no way the story depicted the difficulties of domestic helpers of mumbai.
Next for the success of any serial screen play is very important. As long as shipra and susheel chubey were responsible for the screenplay there was some co ordination and they laid a proper foundation for a good story line to follow. Once the leap came in the Chubeys were out and after there has been consistent change in the screenplay writers and the confusion also started.😳
To start with Raghav Singhania character itself is a bundle of contradictions. Though it was kamla bhai who helped him get his passport from Neetu's house and fly toU S he showed his full attitude toward her daughter kalpana. (See episodes 96 and 97). The way he treats her is something which a man with normal manners will not do. Even in the office he misses no opportunity to insult her that too in front of Paakhi.👏
And then suddenly comes the Alibaug trip and the screen play writers wanted to tell us that trip brought in the transformation in singhania. how and why? no explanation for that. And when it comes to the question of expressing his love he chooses to tell Paalkhi ( since it is masquerade party it turns out to be kalpi herself) that he loves kalpana. Why can' t he say that straight to kalpi? no reason for that.😛
Then came the mills and boon type of romance - rich handsome man falling for a pretty poor girl. This thought is bound to be a hit and it became an instant hit And cent per cent credit goes to Ashish and Rachana who were very convincing in that fairy tale romantic sequences.😆
Back to Raghav's confusion. Giving a flimsy reason he ditches Kalpi at the altar and goes to marry Paakhi and within a couple of days realizes his mistake. Again it shows the fickle minded nature of the character of a business tycoon singhania. 😭
Kalpana at crossroads. We hear latest buzz that kalpi due to the misbehavior of one employee chooses to begin a restaurant in her chawl. A university topper is going to sell gol goppa in her chawl right. If one employee misbehaves Kalpi jumps to conclusion that the entire employee lot will do the same with her. Her mother sees dream of EMA for her and she settles down for a panipuri shop. ugh!!😡
And why should she resign the job with Singhania? it is a good company with good working ambience with good pay and bright future. So why mix up personal and professional lives. Does she not have belief in her own self that she can stand before singhania to whom she challenged that she will get promoted on the basis of her talent in 30 days.( That she did she got promoted as his lady love withing 30 days). Another confusion.👏😲
Kamla bhai a character of late who gets on your nerves. Her business now is to go around moral policing kalpi ( accompanying her to interviews as though she is an LKG kid) and screaming at and slapping Raghav singhania at the drop of the hat.😲
Characters play a vital role in any ficitonal piece of writing. We love, hate or be indifferent to characters. You laugh and cry with the characters and only if they elicit that kind of empathy from you then you can call the story writers successful. In EMA they have succeeded ONLY IN THE LOVE SCENES AND THE REST OF THE SCENES ARE A MISERABLE FLOP.😭
Actually in serials like Diya aur Bathi Hum which has been right on top of the trp ratings since long there will not be a single shot which is a waste. Sometimes a scene may look unwanted but after ten episodes you will get the link for the scene which we originally thought insignificant. It is not without reason that these serials are ruling the charts for years.😛
But EMA story line is full of lose ends. Neetu was responsible for kalpi failing in the exam, That has never been brought out in the serial and now she has found a comfortable shelter in kalpi's house itself. What else can you call this except a goof up by the story writers.]😳
The story writers had totally missed on the revenge track. The love story between kalpi and raghav ( If I remember correct they nearly had more than 35 episodes of love track alone)iself was a deviation from the main story line and anyhow having started it they should have got kalpi and Raghav married. Since paakhi is also in love with Raghav this itself would have been a big blow because she loses her man to her friend kalpi and changed her character from positive to negative. Then they should have gone slow with the revenge stage by stage and make Sahill and neetu kapoor confess their own crimes and book them for their crimes.🤢
The writers separated the famous lovers on a very flimsy ground. If Raghav and kalpi got separated on an ideological clash it would have been watchable but raghav says to avenge his father's death and on his mother gowri's ( who wakes up from amnesia like we would wake up from our afternoon siesta)command he married Pakhi but loves kalpi. To reiterate that he is a confused person he filled kalpi's head with sindoor and declared "you are my wife" as though he is the ultimate authority of law. And of course, Kamla bha i promptly came and removed that sindoor since she detests Singhania doing anything that would affect her paakhi baby. Can there be a better nonsense than this? The story writers are responsible for this gaffe.
With the messing up of lovers what the writers had in their hands was the revenge track, But the story writers took revenge on the kapoors in exactly two minutes. Raghav who was constantly thinking of taking revenge on kapoors from the first episode when he was introduced took away all their wealth ( I do not know how he can freeze their bank account because for want of money neetu steals from kamla bhai's bappa!!!) and send them out of their house as paupers. What more is left in revenge now? That's all. And their son Prem is not to be seen at all and he is seen only in celebration parties and not in EMA what happened?⭐️
Now the story of EMA is at cul de sac ( dead end). If they bring unite kalpi and Raghav also there is nothing left in the story. If they do not unite then they have to make it as a story where the man sleeps with both women and gets children with both women and go in for a leap that is a la Pavithra rishtha. Otherwise I bet my last paisa that the story writers do not have material to pull on for more than at the best another 50 episodes ( this itself is too much).😛
If some thing else has to happen then only Bappa can do wonders through the story writers.
As for me bas bahuth ho gaya i cannot tolerate scenes between raghav and paki and so I have switched my allegiance to Baawre which is telecast at 7 PM at LIFE OK. I will see the written episodes😳
