Kamala had yet again gone on a trip...the sindoor had spilt on the floor even before she reached Mumbai. She was vexed .so she had gone this time to Kohlapur. She believed that only a goddess could sort out matters of the heart. These gods were useless.
Meanwhile in the chawl, vithal was forced to spend ,increasingly ,more time with Neetu. Both Saahil and Kalpi would set off early morning to search for jobs. Pakhya was busy loafing as usual. As he spent more time with neetu, withal began to realise she was not all black. She had her redeeming points. In many ways ,he felt she was better than Kamala.
For starters, she was always there at home. She did not use an excuse to run ,out at the drop of a hat ,as Kamala did these days.
She was always spending time with Kalpi. What she did with his rajkumari ,he was unsure...but at least ,she was around. With her constant talk, Kalpi could momentarily forget Raghav. He liked her concern when she saw raghav and Kalpi together. The mother in her, had truly been awakened. She was a true EMa mother...she was preferring the other persons daughter to her own.
Time management...he liked the way she got Kalpi to get ready in time, using the water shortage as an excuse
Teamwork...he loved this best of all. A silent agreement had been reached between them. These days ,he would cook, she would eat and, most importantly, by hook or crook she would get Manda to scour the vessels. This was division of labour. Never once had Kamala done that. She would drag all the work on herself and then constantly feel tired.
Consistency.. she was true to her nature...as she said she was kameeni no. 1 ,and that was how she always would be. She did not change her colours as per the situation...unlike kamala
Poor kamala...she did not realise the real significance behind Vitobas answer. The sindoor and conch were not for her daughters. It was for her. He was telling her to rectify her mistake and cleanse her house. She had to safeguard her sindoor else the conch would herald a battle in her life.
As Shail aunty3 asked her whether her husband did not mind her long absences from home, she confidently replied," there are 4 men in our lives. Saahil, vitthal, raghav and Pakhya...and all four are impotent. People think The reason behind Raghav not accepting Paakhi is Kalpi, only I know this secret of his.I'm trying to set it right. As for my husband, he has always been naamard. So tensun nahi."
What kamala did not realise that the desires of the flesh are only in the young.Beyond an age, people seek emotional bonding...this bonding was developing between Neetu and Vithal ...a bond so strong, that it amazed anyone who watched it...most of all him.
Even Padmavathi was commenting about it these days. she had told him to keep it a top secret. he had made her life easier. she could well imagine what a wonderful track it was...so much scope for kamalas humla, rona dhona and pravachan. she had already started on the dialogues.she had planned to announce this bond like a 007 mystery...yeh hai bond ..atoot bond. and in reply to Kamalas pravachan , neetu would reply," shaken ,not stirred." wah! definite hit...2000th episode celebrations ka plan shuru kar diya
Vithal was happy that Padmavathi had given her blessings. After all in Ema, padmavathi proposes and Padmavathi only dispenses. this special seal of approval increased his non existent courage levels. It started turning their interactions into magic...thus was born the new jodi of Ema...the future face and brand ambassador of EMA...ViNeet.
