Sheena, I can't thank you enough for this post. You have echoed the sentiments of us viewers. I do believe that we have the right to express our point of view. Like you mentioned we are paying a fee to Zee, and far as actors are concerned if they can not accept constructive criticism then they should get out of the business as this comes with the territory. When the show began it came across as one with a social message and I was hopeful that it would use the medium of television to convey a positive message. I am disappointed at the manner in which it has turned out ... the story is regressive, it has butchered the sanctity of marriage, it is further highlighting the differences between classes instead of bridging that gap, there are many aspects in the story line that don't even add up, I honestly feel that this show is insulting my intelligence as viewer, (do the writers believe that they can dish anything out to us and we will gladly accept it?) ... gosh the list could go on!! What saddens me the most is despite out efforts to express our sentiments to the channel and writers, it has fallen of deaf ears. However the final blow is so be insulted for having an opinion ... my message to the writers/producers/directors etc ... No we are NOT a JERKS, we educated human beings living in an era where we can exercise freedom of expression, we know the difference between real and reel, we are also well aware of the terribly negative impact this show could have with the message it is sending to their viewers at present and we too have a social responsibility to express our displeasure and disgust. We have not forgotten who we are and the power that we hold, I do believe that it may have slipped their minds ...we are paying customers...we are not happy with the service we are receiving ... so find someone else to do it better (writer/actor)...if you can't do that then seriously its high time to buck up!! (Whatever happened to the Customer is always right?)

Whether the people behind EMA realise it or not their organised group of promoters in the form of actors/cv's and others are doing a pretty poor job promoting the show.
Firstly, we fight for promos and get some pretty poor ones - ones to torment of us a track no one wants to see. it has effectively killed the beauty of the show. It has become a long list of typical shows on Zee - the infamous love triangle; love someone else blah blah- ZeeTv really needs to look at shows doing well on Star and change this obsession they have of almost marriages and the rubbishing of the sanctuary of marriage. Nikkah was made a joke out of in quboolhai - we were given a community Nikkah whilst running from thugs.!! Woh!! In EMA we get the dumping Kalpi @ the mandhap &'turning up with another bride. What social message is this portraying really?? the revenge track could have been awesome with no shaadi and the tribulations of RaGna. People might say, we need to move on? Point is we are still in shock re the fiasco and now are being forced with the awful Raakhi and terrible contradictory lines of Kamlaa. Where is the damage control?
This leads to my second point...zeetv Z20 was the perfect platform to give us some hope re our favourite couple but no we hear some more yawn lines of the worst aii on Tv with her sidekick - Raghav baba is perishaan??? Well hello he is seeing Kalpi for the first time obviously he is affected. Like duh? Why aren't you with Kalpi but running around Your fav fly?? Promoters could've made better use of this cricket match, but no!! Kamlaa is ecstatic re her cheerleading daughter forget the one on the pitch who is alone!! I must add that mangalsutra on Paakhi was an eyesore - like please tuck it away!!
Next, fans fight for a repeat telecast of EMA, after so long we get it but, er wrong timing, do we really need it? No, there is boycotting of the show and watching it online or relying on WU...hmmm poor strategy in my eyes...
Fourthly, the videos of the celebrations.!! now I do feel EMA needs a reality check; the high trps were down to RaGna, Gunjan and Shail, def not Kamlaa!! SSLK helped with the trps!! at the same time the AsHNa dance where PD gets Shirin to butt in the dance, poor taste and upset fans.
These are only a few of the things causing groundlings amongst fan and when they tweet or make posts of their grievances are often criticised. I'm sorry but EMA's PH is doing a crappy job from promoting the show! shocking editing! poor casting & a shocking script!!
Speak to your infamous CV and teach your actors some etiquette when dealing with fans and teach them to learn criticism. fans are the reason you are there!! PH & actors should never forget the power of fans; IPKKND @ starplus was closed down as fans couldn't deal with a replacement!! Fans of EMA are equally as passionate!! Last month most popular show for Zee? This month many ppl avoided voting - spamdomain? I'm not sure - fans are talking; I too voted for other shows as I feel right now EMA is not worthy of my loyalty!!
