But, I'm a little surprised that he seemed to have easily accepted Kamla's justification of making Kalpi strong. I thought he might be a little sceptical about that.
After all, he did hit home the fact to Kamla only the night before when he said." That's just it. I asked for your daughter's hand in marriage and Kalpi is your daughter." Loved that bit.

I was hoping that the cvs would show Raghav as not being totally convinced and that could have been a track for the future. Now everything is done and dusted and put away for good...as though this one feeble explanation by Kamla makes up for Kalpi's suffering all these years.

missed that scene...power gone for few mins...

actually kamala is giving child like excuses...i didnt like it...she knew that she was biased... i felt like to justify her she simply said she was doing it puposely for making kalpi strong...in which world mothers love make a child weak...i would say it makes them strong...i think she haven seen bournvita add...

I was talking about the manner in which he too easily accepted Kamla's explanation of her behaviour towards Kalpi over the years. I thought he would have been more perceptive than the others about it.

PS: I checked your post again...how did I miss the avs and the accompanying explanations?

I didn't see those the first time around.

I still feel he accepted what Kamla said blindly.

About trusting Kamala, do you mean he'll be sceptical till the wedding? I feel that the cvs made it clear that Kamla's "transgressions" have been forgiven and forgotten..all done and dusted and madam has been anointed saint by all, including Raghav.

Plus, the cvs dare not change the bride the last minute since Ragna has Bappa's blessings.

Even they won't dare to intervene with Divine intervention!

I felt he was more unhappy ( his expression not adequate at the moment) at the thought of loosing yet another one whom he dearly loves, his duniya if the fused tubelight didnt consent to marriage.

Ragna have not had any conversation about Kalpi's past and childhood yet. That one incident he witnessed Kalpi crying after he saved the chawl when her aai was hugging her beloved Pakhi did get him wondering what's going on there but he has not given it a thought since then. Nonetheless, he is perceptive or WAS very perceptive so maybe sensed something amiss in ma -beti relationship. I just hope he is not fully convinced with aai's explanation, it would be good for their future if someone among them all has their brains working and not be treated like a puppet by the honorable Kamla ma.

BTW - when was the wedding date fixed for Vitthal to go print wedding cards already?
