Then Kalpi gets back at him by buying a cheap, plaid shirt. After she tells him that this is his gift from her, tells that he he doesn't wear plaid & then she urges him to try it on & does & then she say he is looking so handsome in plaid & Prem is all smiley until he goes to Kalpi's house & sees Pakya wearing plaid too 😆. While Kalpi is pregnant w/their 1st child, Priyanka, Prem gets all into protective hubby mode since he prefers she take leave from work, especially in the later part of her pregnancy but Kalpi argues w/him, saying that she still wants attend work so Prem says he will build an office for her at home. So Kalpi is like 8 months pregnant & workin' in the her office which she really likes by the way & the day it gets finished Prem, puts a bowl of floating marigolds & roses in the room 😊. Prem also is the one who pushes to have their honeymoon in Greece while after Kalpi tells him mentions Goa but he does a good job in convincing her by saying that she has already been to Goa & he noticed her interest in Greece & overhears her saying she is hesitant to go so far away for her honeymoon & well Prem tells to why just settle & takes a Greece postcard that is on the wall above her desk in her room & says u, meri rajkumari, you're are gonna in for a real treat & well they end up having a blast Greece. They both cause trouble for eachother yet love eachother so much & learn to understand eachother & accept eachother. They go through quite a bit too after marriage too like Kalpi's post partum depression after the birth their daughter, Priyanka & Prem's issues w/a business rival (not Raghav) who aggravates him & well there is a time when Prem is hospitalized due this very same person & Kalpi finding out some dark stuff about both Neetu & Sahil regarding Prem's bringing, etc at this time. One of their saddest times is when Kalpi goes through a miscarries their 2nd child. Anyways, I won't give anymore but back to Priyanka she's a such a cutie w/her day's full lips & mom's big bright eyes.So I told just u a piece off my ff & speaking of substance after Prem confesses he loves her & she rejects him she finds out that there is a side to him that has been buried for years- the rockstar😆. She finds out after she finds a picture of Prem w/long hair & a guitar & his band back in the day & he tries to convince her to not go through w/mission rockstar Prem & Prem is quite hesitant to agree w/her because his patents really didn't approve of rockstar Prem & then he grew up but Kalpi doesn't listen to him which leads to a Pralpi adventure. Love this part of my ff.Anyways enough w/my ff, lol. Pralpi actually reminds me of couple from the American soap opera, "General Hospital"- Alan & Monica. Alan was a rich, handsome businessman born w/silver spoon in his mouth whoworks for the family business who I guess was at least kinda spoilt & Monica is a doctor who had a very different upbringing where she spent a good chunk of her life in an orphanage & then was in foster care for some but grew up to be a doctor & became successful in her career on her own. Alan & Monica become quite a hit couple. They had all this chemistry & were fiery & passionate & would cause trouble to eachother at times but loved eachother very much w/their relationship having their ups & downs. Only some people even end up together on this show & well Alan & Monica were one the couples that seriously lasted & ended up together. They dated, got married, had, kids, grew old together. The funny thing is I only realized the similarities of Pralpi in my ff & this beloved American soap couple.I know some people are mentioning how this person doesn't match w/this person when it comes to this but usually when I pair people up while I watchin' a TV show, this match thing doesn't come to my mind as much as other things. My taste is more random w/non-Indian shows but w/Indian serial couples, I usually like odd pairs that have good chemistry, are romantic & who make me laugh more. I care more about all this than who matches & who mismatches. Anyways, in regards to the last two sentences, this is why I guess I just am not too into couples like Ragna & Dev & Radika (sorry, I actually found D & R quite boring) yet I really liked Gunjhun (Guddu & Runjhun) from "Bhagonwali" & Indishi (Indira + Rishi) from "General Didi" for example. So now u know more about my taste. My grandparents were actually quite a mismatch. They had led very different lifestyles. She was at least kinda spoilt came from a rich family w/servants to do a lot of the work & her parents she didn't really take her parents too seriously when it came to studies & she was quite sheltered as well. My grandpa on the other hand came from a poor family & he worked hard in school & made something of himself while she had the opportunities but didn't bother much. She didn't know how to do a bunch of things from cooking, using public transportation, etc. but then she eventually grew up & my grandparents are still together by he way.So I have given u a taste of my imagination w/Pralpi & my how I view TV couples, etc. There is more that happens in my ff w/Pralpi then what I mentioned in this post & a lot of the ff takes place pre-marriage & I have already posted the first three chapters of it on the forum.BTW, Sejal I will PM u this week & don't worry, I am not upset w/u. Now I feel kinda bad that I kinda went on & on about Pralpi in this post but this post is basically an outpouring of showing how I view them.
My god, you have some really great ideas! Your FF sounds really cute. It's true. Sometimes odd pairing may fit in together. See the thing is though, it also depends on perception. Sometimes people like certain pairings for reasons that other people can't see unless you explain them. I can completely see where you're coming from. Btw I also loved Indira-Rishi and Guddu-Runjhun. They were such fresh stories that I completely fell in love with (besides the fact that I absolutely love Rati because she's fantastic!). Their pairing may have been odd but it worked. I guess that's what you're trying to say?
Btw your relatives sound really cute. My parents were pretty different too. My dad always traveled from a very young age so was like a free-bird while my mother was more grounded. Yet, they mesh so well together that it's astounding. Sometimes you don't have to be similar to work. However, since I am a psych major, I look at the possibilities too. It's more likely for a person to work well and better with people who are similar to them. That's why most of the times, we like to find some common ground with people we work with so we are on good terms. To me, Prem is not at that stage yet. He will be if CVs shape him to be like that. If he does become like that, with more substance to his character (and I absolutely loved your rockstar back story!) then I may find him more to my liking. I don't see the CVs doing that though, considering how poorly they handled some tracks in the show. I was truly disappointed with that though I have stopped complaining and decided to just enjoy the show lol.
Also, Edabella, don't lose this individuality. I really like your ideas. They are different and I feel like they are needed in this forum for diversity. Your preference may be different but isn't any wrong than ours. I would totally give PraLpi a chance but that can only happen if Prem is shown to have a lot of substance as a character because I personally feel like it's a very hard competition for that pairing for me. Again, thanks for the detailed insight in your perception. It's much appreciated 😃
