Part 11

Kalpana didn't know for how long she had slept but felt content and peace.She snuggled into the warmth that seemed to pull her closer.Kalpana frowned in her sleep feeling something a bit heavy on her waist.She slowly opened her eyes,getting adjusted to the small ray of light coming from the window.She fully opened her eyes and saw Raghav a few inches away from her.She gasped.Not knowing what to do or say,she quickly sat up on the bed and screamed "AAAHHH"

Raghav instantly sat up on the bed with her and held his gun.Seeing no one or nothing harmful in the room,he looked at her confused "Why are you screaming so early in the morning?"

"Why are you sleeping on the bed?" asked Kalpana,not answering him.

Raghav squinted his eyes at her "This is my bedroom and my bed..where do you expect me to sleep?"

Raghav rolled his eyes "Whatever" He put his gun back on the nightstand and lied down on the bed pulling Kalpana on his side.He pulled Kalpana towards his chest and trapped her with his arms"Go to sleep Kalpi"

Kalpana squirmed and struggled but he was too strong.She gave up tired and decided to sleep for a while.Within a few moments,she fell asleep.

After a few hours of sleeping,Kalpana awoke again.She was still in Raghav's arms who was still asleep.She looked at the time.It was 10:00 am.It made sense since she was tired but she wondered why Raghav slept that late.'Maybe looking for me' concluded Kalpana.Kalpana,though she was happy she was safe but knew she wasn't for long before somebody would try to kidnap her again and nearly kill her with another weapon.She was just lucky she was still in one piece.Kalpana had to escape.No matter how many times Raghav will find her and bring her back,she will not lose hope.Raghav's arms around Kalpana was loose since he was asleep.She took that opportunity and squirmed out of his arms easily.She looked at his nightstand.The gun was just sitting there.Alone.She looked back at Raghav who was still sleeping.Kalpana grabbed the gun and just stared at it.Kalpana looked for a way,which she could keep the gun with her, hidden.She looked at the closet.It was wide open.It had all of her clothes in it.The other closet had Raghav's.Kalpana looked for a saree which fully covered the back.She found a black one.Kalpana went to the bathroom and showered.She dressed in the black saree.

Kalpana looked herself in the mirror.She turned around and pulled her hair to the front.Her back was totally covered.Kalpana took the gun and slid it down her back,under the cloth,making the cold metal touch her skin.Kalpana shivered,closing her eyes getting adjusted.Kalpana covered her back with her open hair,making it look like nothing was behind her back at all.She smiled.Kalpana opened the door and gasped seeing Raghav in front of her.He raised an eyebrow and just stared at her.Kalpana felt his eyes dig into her soul and shuddered.She looked up at Raghav meeting his eyes."Black?" he asked,slightly smiling.

Kalpana nodded smiling inwardly.Kalpana stepped out and Raghav went in and locked the door to take his shower.Kalpana sighed in relief knowing Raghav had not found out about his missing gun.If he had,there would be chaos.Kalpana sat on the bed examining his room.She decided to look around as maybe she can get a clue of some sort.Kalpana opened Raghav's closet.It had many drawers.She opened the first one.It was empty.She opened the second one.It seemed to have a letter in it.A small one.Kalpana took it out and unfolded it.She began reading it.

Kalpana scrunched her eyes in confusion.She did not understand what the letter had meant at all.'Does this mean Raghav is actually in another gang?' thought Kalpana.All she knew was that she was being watched.

Suddenly the paper was snatched from her.Kalpana met Raghav's menacing stare.He glanced at his closet and looked back at her "Don't touch my stuff" With that said,he took a lock and locked his cupboard,pushing the key in his pocket and left.

Raghav sat in the living room on the couch,reading a magazine.Anal came up to him and stood in front of him.Raghav flipped a page,looking as if he had not noticed Anal.Anal cleared his throat.Raghav finally let his eyes travel to Anal's face.He tilted his face and threw the magazine on his left making it land in the open drawer,with perfect aim.Raghav sat back comfortably on the couch "What do you want?"

"I know what's going on nowadays,thank you very much" said Raghav sarcastically.Anal sat on the sofa across Raghav.Raghav glared at him and gestured him to stand up.Clenching his jaw,Anal stood up "I know the underworld is decreasing but there is absolute no chance the police can catch us"

"Just because you said it,doesn't mean it will happen" retorted Anal.

Raghav stood up and walked up to Anal.He grabbed his collar "I made this gang..I make the decisions around here..if you want in,stay..but you are always welcome to leave..I can easily replace you..but remember if any of our secrets by any chance leak to the police,I will not spare you as I did with that man who talked to Kalpana in that party" Raghav let go of Anal,jerking him away.

Anal gulped remembering what had happened to him.A very slow painful death,was a too small statement to describe it but then he looked at the magazine in the drawer "How did you get such perfect aim Panther"

"There's something called practice.Panther can do anything..having perfect aim is just one of them" with that said he left.

6 hours later at 6:00 pm

Anal and Sam had left for some business to attend.Raghav was nowhere in sight.There were guards everywhere.Kalpana wondered if she should use the gun to help her escape.She decided to do it and went downstairs.The guards stood straight immediately seeing Kalpana.Kalpana glanced at each and every guard.Seeing every guard's eyes on her,she quickly pulled her hair to the side and pulled out the gun from her back.She pointed it to each and every guard.The guards were fortunately without any weapons."Clear the entrance or I'll shoot" warned Kalpana.The guards stood their ground,probably thinking she wouldn't do it.Kalpana proved them wrong.She closed her eyes and pressed on the trigger.The bullet flew out towards the guards at the entrance but they dodged.Scared,they cleared the entrance.Kalpana gave a big smile.She took a step forward but stopped seeing Raghav block her.He was here.Kalpana gulped and pointed the gun at him,shaking "C-clear the entrance o-or I'll s-shoot" she repeated,stammering.

Raghav smirked.He spread his arms "Shoot me" Kalpana looked at him,eyes wide,She couldn't believe what she was hearing.He told her to shoot him.Though she could live with the guilt of shooting another,she probably couldn't live with the guilt of killing the man she had loved.She knew somewhere in her heart,she still loved him. "If you ever hated me,shoot me" Kalpana shot her eyes up to Raghav's.Though she probably still loved him,she had to admit she did hate him a bit for his betrayal.Kalpana pointed the gun at him.She closed her eyes and pulled on the trigger.But nothing happened.She pulled on the trigger again.Nothing.Kalpana snapped open her eyes and looked at the gun.It was empty.
