Part 30 A:
Kalpi ran out of the room with Raghav at her heels. He still could not believe Kalpi refused to call him by his name and did not tell him the 3 magical words... He was trying to corner her at the very first chance he gets!
Kalpi knew about this but smart that she is...she was too quick for him. She waited near the lift. Both entered the elevator and it started going down!
They both started having Deja vu of their lift accident experience and both looked at each other. Raghav moved closer to Kalpi and she turned her back towards him. The lift had mirror opposite to the doors. So Raghav went behind her and put his arms around her waist. Kalpi had closed her eyes. He looked at her in the mirror and was happy to see her expressions that showed she enjoyed his touch his proximity but was just too shy! Maybe she is too shy to accept her feelings loud to me!
He smelled her hair which was still damp and few strands that fell on her face made her look so sexy that Raghav was losing his senses. To hell with my control he thought! He grabbed her arms turned her around to face him and leaned towards her lips to claim her when the bell in the lift rang signalling the halt at a certain floor and that the announcement saying doors opening.
Kalpi pushed him aside her cheeks red and she blushing and trying to hide her excitement. She was breathing heavily but Raghav wouldn't listen he came closer to her again when the doors opened!
It was a young foreign couple who entered and they greeted Kalpi and Raghav. Soon Kalpi's eyes widened in horror as she saw them touching and kissing each other. Raghav who was only looking at Kalpi was wondering what was wrong with her when he looked into the mirror and saw the act.
Kalpi almost choked and started coughin in embarassment! Raghav was trying to control his laughter! But he was getting restless and regretting not being able to do the same things to Kalpi!
Learn something from them he whispered to Kalpi when she threw a looked at him with dagger eyes and turned her head to the other side, but she could still hear the moans and sounds and she was thinking if Raghav was to kiss her would she make such noises too!!
Kalpiii!!! What the hell are you thinking? Cheee!! She shut her eyes tightly as if trying to remove the image of her and Raghav kissing in her mind! Raghav guessed it and went closer to her ears and whispered how was it? She looked at him and asked what? He said biting hi lip, do you make sounds when kissed?
Sir!!! Pleassee behave yourselves we are in a public place!
Raghav: Oh so you mean I can ask you this when we are alone?
Kalpi: No! Not in private too. She kind of screamed and disturbed the couple who were so lost in themselves.
The woman said come darling lets go back to the room and order breakfast there itself! The guy sensed Kalpi getting uncomfortable and signalled with his eyes to his girl!
The girl apologised to Kalpi saying sorry if we offended you in any way! 'You better be!' thought Kalpi but mumbled a feeble, its ok!
The guy then looked at Raghav and asked u newly married too?
I hear Indian brides are too shy', only to get nudged by his wife.
Raghav was gleaming and grinning from ear to ear and rolled his eyes and replied, 'Dont ask!' Its the height of shyness!
Kalpi guffawed at his reply and stamped on his foot hard. Raghav yelped in pain! And said but Indian wives are very dangerous too!
The other couple laughed hard and the guy wished Raghav all the best as they all reached the Restaurant floor and they all descended from the lift to have a good fill!
Kalpi was too hungry and so was Raghav! He said I am waiting at the table, just need to reply to some important office mails and need to confirm the timings for tomorrow's conference. Will also call up Sammy, you can go ahead and get whatever you want, I will catch up with you. Raghav went to a table and seated himself near the window facing the poolside. It was a nice view of the pool which was quite big and inviting! Hmmm must go there to chill out sometime today! Hope Kalpi too joins me it will be fun!
He then started his work over the phone. Though Kalpi was hungry and wanted to gorge the breakfast asap, she looked at Raghav and nodding her head kept saying to herself, He was so hungry back in the room and now see not even bothered to have a glass of juice first. Went and started working directly. What would he do without me? She just realised what she said and smiled. She was adjusting in Raghav's life and has made a place for herself! She was wondering what would she do if Raghav would not be there. She then served a plate for Raghav.
She took a bowl of chocolate cereal with milk, toasted bread slices a butter packet and some margarine. She then also took a boiled egg and some mashed potatoes with baked beans and a glass of orange juice and went to Raghav and gave it to him. He was busy on the phone!
She then went back to get herself some Indian breakfast and was delighted to see nice. crisy, golden brown Dosas at the Dosa counter. She went to the person and ordered for Masala Dosa and he immediately made one for her. She also made herself a cup of coffee and joined Raghav at his table. She saw he has not started eating yet and frowned. She touched him on his arms and signalled towards the plate, he was still busy over the phone. He asked her to feed him. Kalpi getting concious looked around. Well no one knew her here right so whats the harm?
She then applied the butter and margarine on the toast and brought it closer to his mouth. He bit into it also talking at the same time and showed a thumbs up sign to Kalpi! She then gave him juice to drink and he had sip of the juice too.
She did not like that Raghav was busy with work. We could have had such a lovely breakfast together, na but he is so busy...when it comes to becoming physical he seems so interested, but when I want to talk to him he is not bothered!
Huh no regrets I wont be bored once Maya, Sammy n Prem come here. Prem is good to talk to! Atleast I will not be bored! She then remembered how Raghav was upset to know that Prem came to her house and used to meet her. He never liked Prem! She gulped and unknowingly made faces at him! Hmmmppphhh he hasn't yet proposed to me properly and wants me to accept my love for him! And look at him treating as if I am already his wife!
If this is the case now then what would happen after marriage? He would not even look at me! I will be taken for granted and remain like a furniture at his house!
What all am I thinking!? She finished her breakfast with a disappointment and left the table quietly. As she was leaving she felt a tug at her hand. It was Raghav holding her by her wrist and asking her to wait! Kalpi smiled and said its ok you continue. I will just see around! Raghav again with a thumbs up sign got back to his conversation.
Kalpi sighed and went to the poolside after asking the staff if she is allowed to take her coffee there! The staff smiled at her and said Ma'am we serve you coffee at poolside so please be seated and make yourselves comfortable and I will send someone with a fresh coffee and saying so he took the cup from her hands. She tried to object! Huh! Why are they wasting the coffee, I had made it to my liking!
Feeling more disappointed she went near the poolside and sat there! It was sunny but not very hot! She liked sitting there. In the sun her skin glowed and she looked hot in the orange see through poncho she was wearing. Raghav could see her through the window and kept looking at her with a smile on his face. He noticed a few men ogling at her and frowned. He ended his call and stuffed his breakfast hurriedly to join her!
Kalpi looked around. Most of them were foreign tourists and some Indian men who were mostly businessmen. Very few Indian women. She saw some European kids playing in the kids pool and looked at them with a smile feeling happy to see the kids enjoying in water. Suddenly she remembered her drowning incident and her eyes clouded with tears. She had called home from the airport to inform Aai that she had reached Delhi! But her Aai was not there instead Pakya answered the home phone and told her that Aai had gone to meet Paakhi early morning as she had called.
In the meanwhile Manda who was working at Neetu's place was nagging her and telling her about the American bai at Kamla's home! Neetu rubbished her and said I dont want to talk about Kamla!!
Kalpi felt that the moment I leave home Aai finds solace in Paakhi but whenever she is not around Aai still thinks about her and misses her. I so want Aai to miss me to think about me and talk to me. She did not even call me once! Atleast she could have given me a missed call! I would have called her back. Now even I will not call her on her mobile. She is busy with her pakhi baby then let her be.
Kamla meets Pooki and they keep talking and pooki tells her that she is in love with Aakash! Kamla is very happy to hear that but she asks Pooki then you had said you loved Raghav toh ab kya hua? I mean to say I am surely happy for you my dear! But hope you are not doing this because you were rejected by Raghav and you want to prove something to him. I know you since childhood Paakhi and you are not the one to leave things easily. If you have any such thoughts of getting back at Raghav or getting even with him, please remove them from your mind, beta!
If Aakash really loves you then you might end up hurting him. Make sure of your feelings for him and confirm if he not just your supporting or crying shoulder for you. Baaki beta you are intelligent enough!
Pooki keeps ranting on how she thinks it was infatuation for Raghav and blah blah, Kamla's thoughts drift towards Kalpi, and she thinks Kalpi ne ek phone nahi kiya, ab tak she should have reached Delhi. She tries to make a call to Kalpi bu she has very low balance. She asks Pooki for her phone as she needs to confirm if Kalpi reached safely.
Pooki frowns, why did Kalpi go so early Kamla maa meeting conference starts tomorrow na? How will she manage all alone there? Kamla says arre na Raghav baba is with her too. And they got ticket only for this plane woh it is biji na cricket match hai na beta isliye they left early this morning. Kalpi went to Raghav baba house last night and they went to airport together this morning.
Give me the phone na beta! Paakhi was not feeling comfortable to hear this. Raghav and Kalpi? From when did Raghav start being so good to her. He picked her up and they went together? While giving her phone she purposely dropped it on the floor and said oh no mera phone kahin kharaab na hua ho! I hope its not damaged!! Kamla feels sorry! She says koi baat nahi I will make a call from your landline. Pooki pulls Kamla's hand and says, call her later na, Maybe she is sleeping she must be tired as she travelled early morning so to catch up with her sleep, perhaps?
Kamla maa I am so hungry make my favourite paratha for me na! Please I missed it since the day you stopped coming here!! Please! Kamla smiles and thinks maybe pakhi is right Kalpi must be tired I must not distaarb her. She smiles and cups Pooki's face, abhi layi garam parathe! Pooki is happy to get Kamla's full attention!
Back at the hotel Kalpi's phone rings and she is amused to see Prem's number! She answers the phone and he asks her if she reached safely. He asks her about the hotel where she is staying and is gald to know that he too will be staying in the same hotel, wondering if Akash knew that Kalpi would be here. Wow he tells Kalpi my room is booked there too! Great we can meet up there. I know Delhi very well we can go to see some places there. Kalpi smiles forgetting everything and gets engaged in a very active conversation. When she sees Raghav approaching her table she tells Prem Raghav has come and tells him she'd call later and cuts the call.
Prem is a bit dejected because when Raghav is not around Kalpi is so delightful to talk to but the moment he comes in near her vicinity she becomes concious! Why is she so scared of him? Does he threaten her or something? I hope he doesn't take this opportunity to take things ahead with Kalpi! He looks at her photo regretfully in his monile. He had taken it at one of the days he used to visit her at the chawl! He had started to enjoy her company so much these days that material things no longer mattered to him. He looked forward only to meet her and talk to her. His dressing style too changed as he started wearing simple cotton shirts with denims whenever he visited her and Kalpi had complimented him that he looked nice even in simple clothes.
He was not interested to go to pubs anymore started finding his friends as fake who were interested only in his parties and his money. He loved to spend time at an orphanage in the suburbs that he had stumbled upon during one of his work related visits. Kalpi used to talk about being luck to have parents like hers and used to share her dream of donating clothes and food to the orphanage kids. Prem had started visiting there as his new project site was close to this orphanage! His father Saahil was shocked to see him signing a donation cheque to the orphanage and Neetu almost fainted but he handled the situation by saying he was trying to rebuild the goodwill their company had lost. Both Saahil n Neetu were impressed but said that what is the use? You should have called the media and press to cover this thing!
Prem said that then it would look fake. Now the orphanage management will spread their fame by word of mouth! Neetu came closer to Prem and took hi balaayiyaan (a gesture to ward off evil eyes). Hai mera chocopie is shoo smart! Prem rolled his eyes and said in disgust, Mom please kitni baar bolun dont call me that!
Achaa theek hai! She then kissed him and left! Prem had let out a sigh of relief thinking he handled the situation quite well. He thought once he and Kalpana come back from Delhi he will surprise her by taking her to this orphanage! I am sure she will be delighted. Paakhi comes to Prem and asks him, Bhaiyya when are you guys leaving. Prem replied I will leave by afternoon my flight is at 5pm. Will reach there by 6.30 and I shall attend the get together first and then check into the hotel in the night!
Hmmm she said lost in some deep thought! And when would you return? Prem already bugged by her interrogation as she disturbed him from Kalpi's thoughts, said, whats it with you? I might come after 3 days but if like the place I might end up staying for a week you mind? Pakhi smiled and said, kyun Kalpi ke saathstay back karne ka iraada hain? Prem blushed but did not want to give off that look and replied angrily you are full of nonsense and walked off!
Paakhi smiled looking at her brother. She actually liked this new Prem! He is getting nicer and sweeter. He hasn't fought with me since holi! Also he looks so happy these days. If Kalpi is that lucky one then so be it! But wonder what would Kamla maa think!?
Prem goes to his room when he gets a call and he answers. He is shocked at the end and drops the phone!
What did he find out? Is Paakhi more worried that Raghav likes Kalpi or the fact that her brother will be hurt if Kalpi rejects him. Is Kalpi really in love with Raghav or is Prem already winning her trust and her heart! Is Raghav just physically attracted to Kalpi or his love is skin deep?
