Hey guys!
Another OS for you all!! Well it's mainly for Neetu (neetuharshi) as a kinda very late birthday present! It's not much but it's the least I can do! Love you Snehiturala! Hope you like it! Even if you don't you can't do much about it :P
So for those of you who don't know, I love the show to bits! And I love every scene in the show, and especially every scene with virika in it (I have a lil obsession)...anyway as I was saying, I really love the Virika marriage sequence and so I wanted to write this OS! It is set in the same format as the show so viren and jeevika have an arranged marriage, but this OS is set before their wedding and after their engagement. Everything is exactly the same as the show!
So I will stop talking and my OS will do the rest!
Virika OS: First Date
Viren's POV
I was sitting idle in my room, with nothing to do. Dadaji had given me two days off work so I could 'rest' before the next ceremony. Frankly I don't understand how me resting will affect the ceremony but oh well I'm not going to complain, well I'll try not to!
I've been really productive today and actually sorted out my whole room, I cleaned up each and every thing, I don't really want jeevika to come here after the wedding and then regret marrying such an untidy person! It didn't take that long considering my room was already clean, but I sorted out all the drawers and made my wardrobe presentable. I was pretty proud of myself seeing all I got done, considering the last time I did all this was in University!
As I said it didn't take that long so pretty soon I got bored again, no one was free in the house I didn't feel like going out. So here I am sitting on my bed, legs crossed, bored expression, hands playing angry birds on my phone. I was on the verge of dying with boredom but my little saviour Virat came in! I love my brother!
'Whatssup bhai!' he jumped onto my bed and sat across me mimicking my pose.
'Virat! I'm so bored!' I whined, yes I was being babyish but that's what boredom does to you.
'You know what I say! When Virat is here not to fear!' He proudly smiled making me internally jump in hope. 'Umm let's play truth or dare!' he suggested, the game was a bit lame and it did disappoint me that my brother was suggesting this but right now I would do anything, and I mean anything!
'Yh ok' he picked up the half full bottle of coke on my bed side table and finished it whole, without even asking. Moving back a little to make space he set the bottle in the middle of the bed and began to spin it. It landed on him first and he picked dare, 'go get me another bottle of coke' I kidded making him frown, 'ok I'm joking, umm, I dare you to not annoy Manvi or do whatever it is you do with her, for 1 no 2 whole days' his jaw dropped and he muttered something under his breath before attempting to argue.
'but bhai! Thats not fair! You know I can't do that!' whining like a 10 year old he made a puppy face which I was now proudly resistant of!
'You can't back out virat! A dare is a dare!' I smiled wickedly at his pathetic whining. Like that we continued playing for quite a while and after a few rounds it was my turn and I chose truth.
'What is the one thing you really want to do that is related to bhabhi before the wedding? You have to answer truthfully!' he warned me by showing me his index finger. Damn! What do I say?
'I want to take her out on a date' I blurted out. Shit. What did I just say?
'Date huh?' virat gave me the knowing look while I hid my face in my hands!
'Umm lets spin the bottle?' he span the bottle without asking any further questions. Thank god! It landed on me again and I chose dare without thinking.
'You have to take bhabhi out on a date!' ok...wait what? A DATE? NO WAY! That's never going to happen, oh god I suddenly regret choosing a dare! I'm stuck now! If I don't do it then he won't do his dares!
'Virat! You know I can't do that! No one will agree to it! Neither will our family, nor will theirs and I'm pretty sure jeevika won't agree either!'
'dont you want to take her out?'
'Of course I do! But I just can't! You know I've always wanted to take the girl I fall in love with to experience my first date with, but I can't! If she was my girlfriend or something then it would have been different but she's not! She's going to be my wife and that too through an arranged marriage! No one will agree to it! And I don't want to take her out when everyone hates it!' *sigh* sucks the fact I can't take my fianc on a date! I doubt she will agree anyway!
Virat sighed in defeat and so did I, we just continued playing until we got called into the living room. As I walked I could see the whole family gathered together and were discussing something.
'Viren beta' Dadaji noticed us. 'you have to go somewhere tomorrow', I do? 'we have all decided that we will send you out with...jeevika'. JEEVIKA? Was I hearing right? I must have looked like a right idiot with my mouth hanging wide open! I could feel the excitement bubbling up inside me, but it cooled down once it hit me that jeevika's family wouldn't agree.
'And jeevika's family have also agreed to send jeevika out', OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG... I am hyperventilating! 'Go and prepare for tomorrow!'
'THANK YOU DADAJI!' And I ran, back to my room, everyone was probably laughing at me, but I don't care! I'M GOING ON A DATE!! AND EVERYONE AGREED!! Wait! What about jeevika did she agree? What if she doesn't? NO! I pulled out my phone and pressed number 1 on my speed dial, after a few rings she picked up. Here goes!
'Hello' her voice was so quiet and sweet.
'Hi..' great I don't even know what to say!
'How are you?'
'Good you?'
'I'm fine'
'umm jeevika, I wanted to ask you something...'
'Yes?'
'Jeevika...will...will you...Jeevika will you go out on a date with me?' I spluttered the last bit out.
'Jeevika?'
'hmm' SHE AGREED!!!
'But beeji won't allow it!' looks like she doesn't know!
'Don't worry I'll look after that! You just be ready by 10 tomorrow!'
'Ok...'
'So...'
'so...'
'I'll see you tomorrow?'
'See you!' and with that she cut the phone and I am now currently dancing like a maniac!
Jeevika's POV
'Jeevika...will...will you...will you go out on a date with me?' my heart froze, he just, he just asked me out!? What do I say? My heart was screaming yes, while the little tiny part of my brain was repeating a no.
'jeevika?' snapping out of my thoughts I decided to go with my instinct and replied with a 'hmm'.
But then realisation suddenly dawned upon me as I realised that the family won't agree to this. I tried explaining this to him but he assured me that he will convince them. I hope he's successful!

Everything happened so quickly that it was a blur! Soon after the phone call, beeji came in and told me that I have to go out with viren tomorrow! OMG she actually agreed! So now here I am choosing what to wear for tomorrow! I actually have no idea! I don't know what people wear on dates! This is my first ever one! I don't even know where we are going. I looked through my wardrobe, only to find plain suits, for the first time in my life I hated my clothes! It depresses me to think that I would have to go out on my first date wearing normal clothes, it feels like I'm not worth it, I'm not worth him.
I wanted to cry, tears were brimming up in my eyes. I wanted everything to be special and perfect yet I have nothing to wear! Why am I like this? As I was closing the door of my closet something struck my eye, it was a packet that was in the wedged between two night suits, I suddenly remembered it was the packet Virenji had given me a few days ago. I wasn't going to open it till later but now seems like the right time. As I pulled it out of the packet I could not help but be mesmerised! It was a soft blue chudidhar, with a sequined neckline that flowed from my waist till just above my knees. It was simple yet beautiful! It was Perfect! i set it aside neatly for tomorrow, I could not wait.
Viren's POV
I literally had no idea what to wear, I decided not to overdo it, so I just pulled on some blue jeans and a pale blue shirt, only because blue was her favourite colour. How do I know that? I did my research, Manvi. I love my saali!
So I'm hear waiting outside the guest house leaning against my car, I would go up to the door but I'm too much of a coward to face her family, it already took a lot of courage to face everyone before I left this morning, they were all making fun of me, saying I was all grown up and all, I think I blushed as well...
It was only 9:45, so I was early, better word, eager to see Jeevika. A girl started walking towards my car, she was pretty but it made me wonder as to why she was coming towards me! She looked really familiar, but I just couldn't make it out as to who she looked like. She looked like...JEEVIKA? OMG it's her!! And she's wearing the dress I got her! She looks so different I didn't even recognise her! She looks like an angel! My angel.
She approached me and I couldn't help but stare at her, the dress fitted her perfectly, showing off her figure in all the right places, her long silky hair cascading down her back, with simple ornaments decorating her. The pink lip gloss she had on was so tempting, but unfortunately I have to control myself until after the wedding. Boy was our suhaag raat going to be awesome!
'Hi'
'Hey' a small blush travelled up her cheeks, making me smile, I love her blush.
'So shall we?' she nodded, I wasn't really expecting a reply from her anyway! Being the gentleman I was I held the door for as she stepped into my car, I quickly sat down in the driver's seat and took off.
The ride was silent and I turned the radio on and my luck all the songs playing were romantic, I could see jeevika fidgeting with her scarf, she was obviously uncomfortable in a good way. I was sure loving it!
After about half an hour we arrived at our destination, there was no traffic as it was a Tuesday afternoon, so a 45 minute journey got cut down. I deliberately chose a far place as I wanted her all to myself!
Jeevika's POV
After what seemed like ages we finally arrived, it wasn't a very long ride but the silence between us made it feel like ages. The place he brought me too was amazing! It was a huge park filled with many different species of flowers, with roses dominating the whole park. It was peaceful and secluded, not even a single person was around. I was just amazed by the beauty I didn't even hear him call my name. Once I did after god knows how long he led me further into the park where a beautiful lake was situated, the water was blue and clear, little fishes could be seen swimming about. Near the edge of the lake was huge tree with a tree house built in it, it was just beautiful! I never imagined that virenji will bring me to such a place.
We walked closer to the tree and I noticed the ladder that led up to the tree house. We weren't going in the tree house were we? He gestured for me to climb up, I guess we are. I hesitated a bit, so he offered to go first. Once he was up safely, I tagged along slowly behind. I was only slow because I didn't want to ruin the dress he had gifted me and I also didn't want to get hurt on my first date and ruin it for the both of us. I climbed up most of the way but got stuck at the end, he held out his hand for me to hold, I again hesitated but I took it. I couldn't help but notice the shiver that ran down my spine as he touched me. I finally made it to the top, safely, thanks to virenji of course. I couldn't help but stare in awe at the beauty of the lake and the park from high above. Everything looked so serene and astonishing. I was glad I agreed to come on this date!
There was an awkward distance between us as we sat down on the small bench that was placed in front of the huge window, but he soon covered that and was sitting next to me in such a way that his side was slightly brushing against mine! By breath stuck in my throat as I felt the close proximity. It would be an understatement if I said I was nervous, because I was much more than that, I actually liked the closeness. What is happening to me?
Viren's POV
I could feel her tense up beside me, yes I was taking things a step further, but I couldn't help myself. I was truly in love with her. Every time she's around me I can't help but admire her and when she's not with me, I can't help but just imagine she is. I'm going crazy and the only medication for it can't be mine officially until the wedding. *sigh*
'So...do you like the park?'
'Hmm'
'Did you come here on your own will or because beeji told you to?' my question caught her off guard as she stared up at me before hiding away again and nodding her head.
'On my own will...'
'Thank you'
'For?'
'Coming'
'I wanted to come...' I've never smiled as wide as I am smiling now! She wanted to go out with me!?
The awkward silence started again, and I hated it so much. I wanted to say so many things but my brain refused to form sentences.
'I know we are going to get married, but is still don't know much about you'
'What do you mean? You know everything! My name, profession, background'
'Anyone can tell me that!'
'So what do you want to know?'
'I'm talking about the more personal things about you, you know friends, relationships, feelings, thoughts, stuff like that, that a husband has the right to know about his wife' she smiled as I said this and blushed a little as well. 'I know let's have a Q and A'
'Ok'
'So I'll start, your friends?'
'I have a few but my best friends are, Priya, Geeta and Aditi, yours?'
'My best friends are, Ajay, Rahul and Aditya, any past relationships?'
'No, you?'
'Never found the right girl'
We continued talking like that for a long time, I found out so many new things about her! And as the conversation went by she opened up a little more, I saw so many different sides to her. Within half an hour of our conversation I saw her laugh, cry, worry, angry and so many more emotions.
'What's your opinion about me?' I got straight to the point, I was dying to know the answer to this question.
'Perfect' she mumbled it so softly that I almost didn't hear it, her inflamed red cheeks confirmed that what I heard was right.
'You are too' she blushed harder, seriously how can someone blush so much?
It was lunch time, and I had already bought some lunch with me in a picnic basket, I planned to just eat inside where it was already nice and comfortable. There was a little table in the middle of the tree house, I closed the door of the tree house to make it darker, after setting up lunch I lit a candle and placed it in the middle of the table. Jeevika offered to help but I wanted all the satisfaction for myself! It was stupid to be having a candle light dinner, or lunch in this case as it was quite bright outside. But I had no choice I couldn't take her out for dinner because we would be out late.
Lunch was a silent affair; I probably gave the impression that I was a total freak because I couldn't take my eyes of her even for a minute. I proceeded to eat my lunch not peeling my eyes of her; I could see her blush deepening by the second. She didn't even dare to look up, I took a mouthful of my food only to realise that there was a chilli in it. I immediately started choking and coughing, my tongue started flaring up, it felt as if it was on fire, my ears were smoking and my eyes stared watering. I was a sucker when it came to chilli, I felt like such a wimp. I could somewhat make out through my blurry eyes that jeevika immediately shot out of her seat and came by my side taking my glass of water, rubbing my back while holding the glass up to my mouth so I could drink it. I drank the whole glass the burning sensation had soothed a little but my ears were still fuming. Seeing that I was still not alright, she grabbed her glass of water that she had already drunk from and held it to my mouth; she was still rubbing my back sending shivers down my spine. I drank her water too, by now the burning cooled down and I was fine. She set the glass back down on the table but her hand was still rubbing my back in slow circular motions, the touch itself was soothing, I could definitely get used it! I looked up at her, her eyebrows were furrowed and her face was scrunched up with concern, I swear she looked amazingly cute! I just stared at her after a few seconds her face softened and her hand on my back stopped but it never left my back. She was leaning towards me so her face was only a few inches away from mine. I could see every minor detail of her face, and I made note of every single one. She looked back into my eyes, our eyes just locked for a few moments, I took her right hand that was resting on my shoulder into my hands and slowly stood up while doing so. Not breaking the eye contact even once. One of hands was in mine while the other was still on my back but her migrated to my lower back. A strand of her hair fell on her face disturbing my beautiful view; I slowly tucked it behind her ear so that I could go back to admiring her pretty face. She lowered her face, her cheeks tinted pink, my hand travelled from under her ear to her chin, I slowly lifted her face to look at me, just as I was about to caress her face my phone beeped making both of us jerk. Way to ruin a moment.
Her hand slipped away from my back, my back suddenly felt cold missing the warmth it was comforted under all this time. I reluctantly let go of her hand and face while she stepped back tucking her hair behind her ears. I awkwardly rubbed the back of my neck while not being able to face her. How could I?
Jeevika's POV
The phone beeped and I suddenly realised what I was doing, I quickly pulled my hands away from him and stepped back awkwardly. The atmosphere had become so awkward it was unbearable so I decided to change it a little.
'Are you ok now?'
'umm...yeah' he had to clear his throat before he said that. 'sorry'
'For?'
'Ruining the lunch, and for finishing all of your water'
'There's no need to apologise! And the water is not more important than your health'
'umm thanks...shall we continue?'
I nodded and we finished out lunch quickly and quietly. After a while we climbed out of the tree house, he went first so that he could help me when I got to the bottom. It was only 2 O'clock and our curfew wasn't until 4, so we had a lot of time to spare. He led me to the huge lake, there was a small pier that led about 5 metres into the lake and I was surprised to see how deep the lake was. I just kept walking not seeing where I was going, the sounds of the birds chirping and the soft splashes of frogs and other insects diving into the water kept me occupied. I even forgot that someone was with me. I was always a goner for nature, I loved it, and it always relished me. I kept walking when I felt my foot landing in air, the pier had disappeared, my knees gave way and my hands were hopelessly failing around me in the air. I was going to fall into the water.
I closed my eyes getting ready for the water to hit my face, but a strong hand locked around my waist pulling me back. Instead of crashing into water, I crashed into a something hard; it felt like a brick wall. Another hand clasped around my shoulder and I found myself gripping on tightly on some material. After a few deep breaths I opened my eyes when I thought it was safe to do so. The first thing I saw was a sculpted chest, so that was the "brick wall" I crashed into, and the shirt that it was wearing was the material I was gripping. I pulled back a little and that's when I realised who the amazing chest belonged to. Virenji.
I never realised that the guy I was going to marry had such an amazing body. Oh god I'm such a pervert! Actually no I wasn't like this before, he made me like this! What has he done to me?
I looked up to see his face, concern was etched into it. He loosened the grip he had on me but didn't let me go. He just stared right back at me. Was that lo...love I could see in his eyes? I sure hope it was, because I couldn't help but feel the same. Wait what? I couldn't help but feel the same? Does this mean that I...I lo...love him? "yes", a small voice in the back of my head answered for me. OMG OMG OMG! I'M IN LOVE!
I'm in love with virenji...
I don't know how long had passed, I couldn't care a damn either, all that mattered right now was that I had finally found true love. All my fairytale dreams had come true. And what a timing to realise as well during my sorry our first date! I just felt like staring into his soft dreamy brown eyes, never to tear my gaze away from them. But suddenly he loosened his grip further this time, it was enough for me to move away, sensing his awkwardness I took a tiny step back, but that was enough for me to feel the cold air strike the front of my body which was now not under his comfort. My body shook from the cold voluntarily. I already missed his touch. What was happening to me? I'm going crazy! He cleared his throat, he was probably going to apologise like always.
'What were you doing?' his question caught me off guard, his voice had a hint of anger hidden in it.
'Wh...What?' my throat was dry and my voice was hoarse.
'Couldn't you see where you were going, if I wasn't here then you could have fallen in!' his voice gradually rose, making me shiver slightly with fear. Sure I had seen his angry before, but at that time he gave me the silent treatment, this time it was complete opposite.
'sorry' I managed to let out, my voice even drier than before probably because I was shocked that he was shouting at me instead of apologising like I thought he would.
'Sorry? Sorry won't change anything jeevika! You have to be more careful! Do you even know what could have happened? You would have fallen in for god sake! And on top of that the lake is so deep at this point, you could have drowned!' anger was now evident in his voice, but concern over-ruled it. I couldn't answer him, because I knew it was my fault, I should have used my eyes properly. I just looked down at my feet, a little ashamed at myself for being so clumsy and for upsetting and worrying Virenji. He let out a deep breath and stepped a little forward.
'I'm sorry...I shouldn't have shouted at you like that' I looked at him, regret plastered to his face.
'No, what you said was right, it's my fault, I should have been careful'
'But I shouldn't have shouted at you'
'You have the right' I whispered, his face softened immediately and I could see the ends of his mouth tugging up. He tried controlling it but gave up and smiled, just looking at his gorgeous smile made me smile.
We sat down at the edge of the pier and this time I was sure to be careful, and virenji was sure to be right by my side in case I did something stupid like trip on a twig or something. We didn't talk much but just stared at the beauty of nature, enjoying the fresh air. My hands were resting on the edge of the pier either side of me. Virenji shifted his position so that he was sitting like me, considering that there wasn't much space between the two of us. His left hand ended up resting on mine. My instinct was to flinch but I controlled myself and actually enjoyed the touch. It made me go crazy, my heart would suddenly decide that it would beat twice as fast and my body felt deprived of oxygen making my breathing rate double. I had a sudden adrenaline rush, my whole body felt like it was on fire, I realised that this is how I felt every time virenji touch me. I felt like a princess. His princess.
We made small talk, and before I knew it, it was time to go home. I was more than disappointed. But on the way back we stopped for some ice-cream at an ice-cream parlour and he ordered my favourite butterscotch ice-cream without even asking me! How did he know?
'I know everything!'
'What?'
'You're thinking about how I know you favourite ice-cream right?' I nodded
'I'm going to be your husband, I should know this much at least!' I just smiled and silently ate my ice-cream, I swear I have never tasted a better ice-cream than this before, it was like heaven. I looked at virenji and saw he was eating a raspberry swirl, it looked amazing, he caught me staring and held up a spoonful of ice-cream, offering it to me. I shook my head.
'Take it!' I shook my head again, not because I didn't want any but I was just shy!
'Oh come on! It's just one spoon!' it was rude to say no again so I just gave up and leaned forward while he fed me. The ice-cream melted on my tongue, I closed my eyes in pleasure. When I looked back up at him I couldn't help but blush because he was now going to eat from the spoon I ate from. I continued to eat my ice-cream but god knows what came over me, I held out a spoon of ice-cream, offering it to him. He looked surprised but ate it from me without hesitation. After another 'gazing into each other's eyes' session, we ate the rest of our ice-cream and left from there.
Viren's POV
We reached home after 15 minutes, I actually hated the drive back because it meant that with every passing second our date would come to an end. I stopped the car just as we entered the gate of our house and the guesthouse. I was reluctant to let her go but I had no choice. She didn't seem like she wanted to go because she took a long time in getting out of the car. Once we were out of the car and standing by her car door, I couldn't bring myself to say good bye.
'bye..' she uttered slowly
'Bye' it took a lot of effort to say that word
'Thank you'
'For?'
'For making my day enjoyable'
'I'm glad you liked it'
'I did...more than you think'
'I had fun too...with you'
'...bye...'
'bye...'
She walked away slowly, I too started walking towards my house, I turned around to get a look at her, she turned around at the same time, I smiled and waved back while walking backwards. She returned the gesture before disappearing into the guesthouse. I ran straight into my room and flopped onto my bed, cuddling my pillow trying to control the smile that was already too wide.
Jeevika's POV
I ran straight to the room before anyone could see, I jumped onto my bed and grabbed the nearest pillow, hugging it close to my heart, the smile I tried controlling already breaking free. Today was amazing! Truly the best first date ever!

Staring up at the stars, viren and jeevika were cuddled together lying on the grass near the lake. They were there on their date number...ok so they lost count. But this date was different that all the others because they weren't alone on this date, god's creation, a symbol of their love was being nurtured inside jeevika's stomach.
'Do you remember our first date?' viren asked his head buried in jeevika's hair
'It was one of the best days of my life, how can I forget!'
'So what's your best?'
'Our wedding of course!'
'I love you'
'I love you too'
'But I love my baby more' he said while rubbing her still flat belly
'It's my baby too! And I love my baby more than you!' Viren let out a small chuckle.
'Ok ok we both love our baby!' they rested their hands on her belly, thanking god for gifting them such a wonderful life.

Phew!
That was the longest piece of writing I have ever written! It took me a week to write it! Because I had to no Idea where to send them for their date! Not experienced in stuff like this, in fact I suck at romance!
I hope it was not boring :/
Ok so the ending was a little off, but I didn't know how to end it, so I thought I might as well it with jeevika's pregnancy seeing as the show is refusing to show us what we all want to see. If we can't see her pregnant we can still imagine it!
