SHER DIL SHERGIL WILL BE GOING TO LAUNCH IN MID-JUNE.
Sher dil Shergil tentatively re-titled Meri Bhabhi
With an ensemble cast of senior and well-known actors this Star Plus show is supposed to go on air after Master Chef Season 3 finishes its run!
Sher dil Shergil the most awaited show from DJ's on Star Plus is believed to have been renamed. The show which will most probably go on-air after Master Chef Season 3 gets over in mid-June is currently using Meri Bhabhi as the new title and as the name suggests the story line will revolve around the nanannd ā bhabhi rishta. The other change is that the show won't have any kids in the storyline as planned earlier.
The show which has a typical Punjabi flavor is supposed to have a little bit of army background to it as Kanwaljeet Singh's character is that of a retired army colonel. The show which promises to have an interesting mix of conflicts within one family has definite characters who have their own stories within the show but will now revolve around the elders in the family and is all about family relations.
While there were reports of the change in the cast our source has now confirmed that the show will see veteran actors Kanwaljeet Singh and Supriya Pilgaonkar as parents of the main leads Vipul Gupta and Kanchi Kaul. The other set of parents are Rohit Sagar and Sweta Gautam who play parents to Esha Kansara who is married to Vipul Gupta.
We spoke to Vipul Gupta who was last seen on a telefilm in Teri Meri Love Stories and speaking about his character he said, "I play a typical Indian television hero type of character who is a responsible son to his parents, a loving brother to his sister and a loyal husband to his wife. He reasons out with everyone and at the same time stands up for the rights of his wife and has a very cute and sweet equation with her." Not talking much about the show, Vipul only says that, "I am working with good actors and there is a nice emotional connect amongst all the characters."
Without elaborating much, Rohit Sagar too spoke nicely about the way all the characters have shaped up and says, "From the first day of shoot I could figure out and relate to not only my character but every other character in the show. I play a typical Punjabi who is full of life and is a rich man with lots of money. Sometimes he doesn't show all his emotions and anger and controls himself otherwise it will cause imbalance in the family."
We tried to get in touch with Producer Deeya Singh to know more about the show but she did not revert to our text message. Keep watching this space for more updates.
