Damn the sun.. My eye hurts as I opened them slowly. Who the hell pulled away
the curtains?!
I glanced arond the room irritated. Wait... why am I HERE?! With Virat
sleeping beside me peacefully?
And then the flashback of last night's events came to me. Oh my god.
I looked at Virat whose hair looked slightly ruffled and was biting his lower
lip. I almost burst out laughing, who bites their lip when asleep? And moreover
looking extremely adorable?
Crap. Did I just said that he looked adorable?
I gasped in surprise and moved away from him slowly, not trying to disturb him-
which I failed pathetically.
''Good morning princess.'' he opened his eyes slowly and greeted in a raspy voice.
''Er... Morning?'' I jumped off the bed swiftly, and shifted uncomfortably.
Virat yawned again before strething his muscular arms out lazily.
Okay, this is so awkward.
My stomach dipped as his gaze landed on me and I knew it was time to leave.
I chewed on my lower lip unknowingly and ran out of his room, closing my door
behind me.
Shit, now I really have to stop thinking about what happened yesterday.
I felt my stomach knot slightly at the thought.
I'm so going to stay away from him from now onwards. Far, far away

''Go away.'' I muttered and continue making dinner. For myself.
''Cook my dinner too.'' virat ordered smugly.
''No friggin way. I'm what? Your maid?'' I retorted.
''I think your mom doesn't know all these right? Hmm... if I told her, I think I heard
her saying that you will be grounded-''
''Shut up! Fine.'' I clenched my fist.
''That's more like it, now cook me something nice.'' he smirked and sat partially
on the cabinet not far away from me.
Screw you, blackmailing jerk.
I recomposed myself and gave him a sarcastic smile. ''I would certainly make
something nice for you.''
A great idea of revenge came to me. Hahahahah, I can't wait to see his
reaction later on.
That's for messing around with me, Virat.

I tried to suppress my laughter as I watch Virat poking the food with his fork.
Oh boy. This is going to be soo good.
He popped the morcel in his mouth without noticing what's wrong. And the
effect came.
I burst out laughing madly in a totally unladylike way- the kind that you laugh so
hard that tears clouded your eyes.
''What the hell did you add to the food? it's taste disgusting!'' Virat's lips
puckered as his face looked all squashed up.
That look on his face totally made my day. Nope, it's my week.
''Manvi Chaudhery! What. Did. You. Put. In. There?!''he glared at me and poured
himself the third glass of waer clumsily.
Which caused the glass to tip over and the water to flow out from it, making it's
way to his shirt.
Seeing that, I laughed even harder and shook my head, wiping the tear away
from my eye. This is really hilarious. I think I need painkillers for my stomach
later on.
If look can kill, I bet I would have gone to heaven by now. He shot me a
murderous look as he wiped the water away with his hand.
''I-I HAHAHA!! I added 5 table spoon of salt and vinegar, an-and a spoonfull of
flour-'' I stated frankly before laughing out laud like a lunatic.
The look of disbelief on his face is priceless.
This is so awesome.
''You are so dead, Manvi.''he growled playfully before running towards me.
I squealed and ran out of the kitchen immediately for my dear life. Picking up a
cushion from the couch, I threw it across the room and it went fling to Virat.
Sadly, he caught it with just one hand.
''Now now, it's not very nice to greet someone with a cushion, Mannu.'' Virat
chided with a smirk on his face, like a teacher chiding a student.
''Salt is healthy for you! You should be gald that i'm trying to let you have a
healthy diet.'' I chortled and continued circling the couch with Virat right
opposite of me.
''Are you kidding me? Too much salt can cause hair drop which led to being
bald!'' he practically yelled at me in frustration, running his hand through his dark
brown hair.
I instantly thought of Virat being bald. Hahahahah, h-he being ba-bald? God,
things just got better and better.
''I think bald suits you,'' I replied after laughing at that thought,'' And besides, I've
only added 5 tablespoon of salt!''
He scowled in annoyance, ''5 TABLESPOON of salt! Tablespoon mind you, not
teaspoon. You know that right?''
Yep, I totally know that. That just made this incident even funnier!
I nodded innocently before laughing at his expression once again. His dark
emerald eyes were staring at me shock and mouth opening an closing like
a goldfish, which looked extremely rib-tickling.
He jumped onto the couch suddenly and advanced towards me. I squeaked at
his sudden move and tried to run away. Unfortunate for me. I was pulled back to
Virat's warm torso.
''Help! Hahahaha, I'm sorry! Help, anybody!'' I screamed and laughed at the
same time as his hands snaked around my waist, hugging me from the back.
''Sorry? Do you really think that I will let you get away that easily?'' he mumbled
as his warm breath tickling my ear.
I hear a series of chuckle as his chest vibrated, causing me to move too. And
the next thing I know, I was spun around to face him who had a devilish grin on
his face.
;;I won't do that again! I promised!'' I wriggled in his arm wanting to break free.
His grip tighened as I squirmed, a sense of deja vu washed over me.
Virat abruptle lift me up. I screamed in horror and cluched onto into his arm automatically. ;
Omigod! Hahaha!! Help!''
''What's the magic word again?'' he japed and grinned playfully.
''Please! Oh my god! It's please! Let me go, now!'' I outcried and laughed,
kicking and writhing to get away.
''Are you sure?'' he raised one of his eyebrow and laughed.
Then it hit me.
''No!! Hahaha! Don't you dare!'' I gripped onto his muscled arms tightly and
glared at him elfishly.
He laughed and pulled me back, hugging me. I hit his chest playfully before
hugging him back tightly.
''I still think that bald suits you.''
Virat laughed - It was a warm and velvety laughter, which was surprisingly
sothing.
I smiled and chortled softly in his arms.

Life is really filled with surprises. And I hated it. Can you believe it? My mom
leaving me here with a guy whom I've just met two days ago? A guy. Alone!
Sometimes I do wonder if she's really my mom...
''Honey, it's a hard to come by opportunity. If I miss it, I don't think I would ever
have the chance to go anymore.'' she explained, packing her things.
''Your work or me? Which one is more important to you?'' I gave her the best
puppy look.
Me.

Me.
Please say that it's me.
''It's only for a few months honey. Besides, Virat promised to help me keep
an eye on you while I'm gone.'' she nodded at Virat who smiling sweetly
at her.
With that 'angelic' face of his, now I finally understand why so many girls like
him. Sadly, they did not know his true personality.
Angelic my foot.
''Mom! How could you ask HIM to care of me? I'm eighteen for heaven
sake!'' I gasped, shooting Virat a dirty look.
''You're ONLY eighteen, yound lady.'' she stopped at the door and gave me a
Not-Another-Word face.
Ladies and Gentlemens, I, Manvi Chaudhery, hereby concluded that she is not my
mom.
I mean, which mother would be so happy to let a guy who is still technically a
stranger to live with her daughter for not a week or anything, It's freakin 3
months!
''Take care of yourself mannu! You too, Virat.'' And with this, my mom went
into the cab.
I stared at the empty driveway, defeated, after the cab drove off.
What have I done in my past life to rack up all these bad karma?
''So I guess it's just you and me, sweetie.''
I groaned mentelly at the thought of being here alone for 3 months with Virat.
''Don't call me that.'' I snapped, narrowing my eyes.
''Sure, sweetheart.'' he grinned impishly.
''Argh, DIE!!'' I moaned before throwing a cushion at him which landed on his
face.
Score!
''That's not very nice of you, Manvi.'' Virat rubbed his nose, giving me a
playfully death glare.
''No need to thank me.'' I replied with a smile.
And the next moment I know, I was hit in the face by the same cushion.
This. Means. War.
I let out a retarded battle cry before throwing every cushion on the couch at
Virat. He's going down.
''Okay, okay, stop.'' he said, giving me boyish grin, raising both hands in
defeat.
''Looser!'' I cried out in joy before sticking my tongue out childishly.
Without warning, I smacked his shoulder with a cushion on the floor.
I laughed. ''You really think that I would be defeated that easily?''
Soon, we were having a full force pillow fight in the living room. Wait, correction,
cushion fight.
With his instinctive reflex, I was hit by that him most of the time. Humpt.
''Admit that you've lost?'' Virat smirked with amusement written all over his
face.
''Oww! Stop hitting me already! Fine I admit,'' I huffed, shielding myself from him
with both hands, ''Monkey.''
He let out a series of chuckle before looking at me intently.
I touched my face immediately. Is there something on my face?
Virat took a step closer to me, taking my hands away gently.
I frowned, looking at him in surprise.
The green shades in his eyes intensified until they were practically smoldering, I
stood there frozen.
He slowly lift uo his hands and touched my cheek briefly.
The haze of heat spreded over my cheeks at his sudden touch.
He saw my expressions on my face.. He gently kiss my cheek,
Virat looked at me innocently as I glared at him, before running back to his
room
