From the very second this scene began, you knew that it was going to something special…something unseen on Indian television. I know I've already made a topic on it but I feel that with pictures, you don't really need to do much analysing because they speak for themselves.
'Teri Khamoshi meri jaan leh rahi hai'…. Even without knowing the truth, Manvi's silence had been killing Jeevika slowly. It was consuming her mind & soul..
Manvi couldn't muster the courage to face her Di. Hats off to the director for coming up with this unique concept of having the two sitting back to back because the love of these two sisters is so immense that seeing the other in pain is just not tolerable. It was an indirect confession of their love & devotion towards each other.
She had felt Manvi's presence behind her.
This scene would have been incomplete without any mention of their childhood because this is where this interdependant bond has emerged from. The orphans who only relied on each other for love, support and strength. The holding of hands symbolising their unity, their need to gather courage from each other.
No Di…you cannot help me…this time you cannot.
TWO SIDES OF THE SAME COIN. TWO HEARTS WHICH BEAT AS ONE. TWO BODIES BUT ONE SOUL.
Jeevika closes her eyes and gives courage to Manvi (and herself) to tell the truth..
This is what we, the audience are seeing. A bond which goes beyond human conventions…
The fear increasing…
'Main beemar hoon Di…bahut beemar'. This line seemed the scariest of all yet it was delivered in the most calming manner. Manvi was tired…very tired. She needed to finally let go…
Manvi grabs on to Jeevika's hand even tighter to obtain strength from her but also give her own strength to her Di..
At this point my heart was beating as fast as Jeevika's was probably…! The anxiousness was just growing by the second.
Now just see the eyes talking when the truth finally comes out…!
Manvi is worn out completely, she seems half dead already…she's let go while Jeevika has crudely been woken up to the sharpest pain ever.
Jeevika's first tear falls from her right eye…
On the other side (not the most flattering cap but it tells a story) Manvi's left eye sheds her first tear. Once again showing they are the same person, they are one entity. When one bleeds, so does the other.
Look at the body language. Manvi looks defeated, helpless but it also seems like she has released the biggest burden of her life..
What a contrast to Jeevika's reaction who was till now living in a bubble.
A picture paints a thousand words.
Now Jeevika has to deal with the excruciating pain. She grabs on to the bench because now she has unconsciously taken Manvi's burden on herself.
NUMB. FROZEN. DEAD
Jeevika's body is completely erect (opposed to Manvi's faltering shoulders)
Perfect use of flashbacks. Their eternal promise of togetherness…
Her promise to protect her baby sister as not only her Di but also a brother…
Her promise to their mother to take care of Manu no matter what…
That's when despite being in this frozen state, Manvi's tears brought out the mother in Jeevika. No matter what state Jeevika might be in herself, she cannot see her baby break down in front of her.
Once again the relationship of the devotee-deity comes to surface. Look at their body positioning…! Just so pure & divine <3
Her maternal instincts take over as she wipes Manu's tears.
Manvi's bows her head down in silent apology for giving her sister this unbearable pain…
But Jeevika holds her together.
A child releasing all her sorrows in her mother's lap while the latter caresses her head..
Words won't suffice to describe the poignancy of these expressions below…
Manvi cries her heart out.
Jeevika realizes the essence and the purpose of her being. It was always Manvi.
What followed after had two of the best dialogues of the show. This is why I've always felt that when Jeevika speaks up, it will have depth and meaning.
'So this is what you were hiding from me? You were worried about me more than your illness? That I'll break and shatter? Mad girl…I don't think you've understood your sister till now. You have only seen my love but not my courage. You have seen my weakness, not my strength. You are both my courage and strength which I will never ever let break. And this cancer…it is my duty and responsibility to remove it from it's roots completely. You just stay happy knowing that as long as you sister is with you nothing will happen to you because your sister will never let anything happen to you. Nothing will happen to you Manu, you heard right? I won't let anything happen to you…nothing will happen to you…nothing will happen to you Manu'
The repetition of the last lines almost felt like she was convincing herself more than Manvi.
'What difference will me worrying make? In life if you have shade then you also have to face the burning sun too and we have to tolerate it. But if this burning is written in Manvi's path then I will never let her face it'
^I don't think I translated those words Jeevika said to Virat correctly but they gave us a sneak peak in to the REAL storyline. Now we will see how Jeevika protects Manvi from every pain possible.
