Part One
Every Picture Has A Story!
Virat sipped his favourite ice-cold capuchino from his Cherry red Mug.He looked at the picture of himself and Manvi printed on it.He smiled vaguely remembering what she had told him when she had given him this cup.
"Viru, ye lo! tera b'day present!" Manvi said coily directing her words at Virat.
"Haww! Thanks bacha!!" Virat said as he hugged her and hastily opened the gift.
His face fell when he lifted her present.
Manvi smiled and took the mug in her hand in which a picture of her and Virat was printed.
"Virat, when I get married and leave you nah.."
"What? You will leave me?" he asked her hurriedly.
Manvi laughed and said, "Of course Dumbo! When a girl gets married she will leave everything-her friends, her parents, her teddy bear and move into her husband's house.So since, I am a girl,("I highly doubt it!" muttered Virat) I will be going to my husband's house when I get married!"
Virat seemed to be in deep thought and then said slowly, "Then I will marry you!"
"Ha ha..you??Poor me! I do not want to be stuck with you my entire life! I am very happy and contended in you and I being business partners Virat." she said and walked away.
Virat smiled fondly at the thought.It was nearly 8 years since that incident.He wondered if she really remembered those times when they would be happily talking under the moonlight without any tension in their relationship.
Virat sighed and turned around when he heard a knock at the door.
"Come in, Please" Virat said authoratively as he placed his mug on the table.
Knock..Knock..
"I said Come-In!" Virat said angrily walking towards the door.
Virat opened the knob and saw no one at the door.
"Strange!" he thought as he stepped out of the room and looked around.His eyes fell on a book.
Confused he took it in his hand to see a note pinned to it.

Virat took the album in his hand and opened the first page.The first picture was when they celebrated their first birthday together.Virat spotted his parents who were holding Manvi and Manvi's parents holding him.
He smiled as he turned the next few pages filled with photographs He stopped at a particular photograph.
He looked at the date:08-09-1994
It was a picture of him and Manvi holding the housecup.
Virat ran his fingers at her smile.
She looked so beautiful and ethreal when she smiled.
"Viru...I am so happy" Manvi shreiked as she and Virat cuddled on his bed.
"Me too Manvi..I mean, Our future is very clear now nah?We won't be burdening Mom and Dad regarding our studies"
"Yes Virat. Mom and Dad will be so happy when they know that we both have received the U-18 scholarship haina? And then I will take up part time jobs to pay your fees at the Academy because you can get through into the Birla Architecture Institute in Sports Quota and I will get into it with my Merit Scholarship and then we can start a company together!
"I am sure that we will be the best in the Nation. Haina?" she asked excitedly as Virat nodded his head.
"Now sleep!" He told as he got up, covered her with the blanket and went into his room adjacent to hers.
Virat smiled fondly at that memory.They had only been 16 then.He knew very well that Manvi was the one with brains and she was the one who always made decisions-right or wrong!
Virat's heart pained when he realised that she wouldn't even speak on terms with him now!
Where had they gone wrong that resulted in spoiling and breaking their friendship-forever?
