NOTE 2: I would think that the Moderators of this forum are open minded enough to understand that this is a DISCUSSION FORUM and criticism can't be curtailed, if not, I just feel for the sorry state of I-F and would ask you to go ahead and close the topic!
NOTE 3: THIS IS NOT A V-M BASHING TOPIC AND MY INTENTION IS NOT TO INSTIGATE A V-M v/s V-J FIGHT HERE!
I have been watching this show on and off for a while (read when I have nothing better to do) so I am not really a fan so I usually don't care for most of the stuff that happens and it does not really affect me as it affects the fans. There are times when this show entertains me somewhat, so anyways the reason why I am even bothering to catch this show once in a while is because I came across posts by my some of my forum friends who used to follow it earlier, they apparently liked Virat-Manvi and one of my friends (Sid) was saying that they have interesting chemistry and I incidentally happened to catch a scene where Virat murmurs to Manvi "Beta, dadaji ke rule no. 128 ke hisaab se cake khaaney ke liye hota hai, mooh pe lagaaney ke liye nahin", (I might be paraphrasing that) which amused me. Then their "Veeru Uncle - Aunty ji" moments here and there had entertained me sometimes. So I thought I will give this show a shot whenever I manage to find some time on my hands, because honestly it is extremely difficult to sit through this show with patience considering how much it is DRAGGED 🥱. I always knew, that coming from a PH that made "EPIC" shows like CMG the briefly amusing V-M would eventually spiral downwards and if yesterday's episode was anything to go by, my guess was spot on! The icing on the cake, however, was the recent article which I read about the change of the writer, I hear the great writer who wrote HAWT and PASS-ON-ATE scenes for "mind blowing" shows like Geet, DMG, MJHT is going to handle this show now, especially V-M , no wonder then it all looks so ridiculous now that even a non-fan like me can sense that V-M have totally gone for a toss and are heading the regular trip-catch, pallu flying, eye locking, cheesy, hallucinating, ways of "romaaance" 'coz let's face it - that is ALL these Star-One brigade writers can ever manage. They CANNOT think beyond making "fans" hyperventilate and make them "faint - blush- die and go to heaven" routine. I just feel bad for the fans of this couple, good luck guys, my hunch is that a lot of you will be mega pissed off very soon! Now coming to the show overall, pretty soon the family members on both sides would vanish into thin air and you will get to see random nautanki with the brothers and sisters peppered with the usual "ZOMG I AM DEAD" reaction inducing scenes for the 'positive fans' 😃 . Coming to Manvi's cancer (which is kind of my motivation to start this topic to begin with), hain?! What cancer? Don't you all know that it is easily curable? Don't you know that currently the most important thing in her life is to patch up Virat-Maya and fight with Virat? So what if she is dying of cancer, eh? Seriously, WHAT THE HELL?!!! I could not care for other stuff but when you show something like CANCER, then at least treat it with sensitivity! Do these guys even KNOW how devastating something like a cancer can be to people who have been diagnosed with it and their family and others around them? I know a family where the dad passed away due to cancer, the couple had three children, the youngest was a 2 year old son who could barely understand what was happening and he will never even know how his father was like because he passed away due to this deadly disease even before he reached a stage where he could UNDERSTAND what father's love is all about, I know how much it upset us when we saw that kid play innocently without being aware of the disaster that was in the offing for his family. I saw that uncle when he came to our house when he was undergoing chemotherapy, he had become frail and was barely able to speak! And very recently, my father's cousin who was a very jovial and fun loving person fell prey to this deadly disease and passed away- I had just met him a couple of months before that and he looked fine and I even remember laughing my head off at his absolutely witty manner of speaking and suddenly he is no more, my dad saw him at the hospital and was very upset because he had become so drained and thin due to the chemo, he was a contrast from the jest filled person he was. Do these makers even REALIZE the seriousness of this illness? Do they want to play with an illness as serious as cancer for a freaking TV SHOW?!!!! Aren't they satisfied enough with turning hospitals and doctors into absolute clowns? If all they wanted to do was show romance and some sentimental drama here and there, they could have done it without bringing cancer into the picture! Even though the show does not affect me much otherwise, THIS is something which I cannot tolerate!
P.S : Please feel free to hit the report button, that is all I expect from these type of forums anyway, although I will be pleasantly surprised if my expectations are not met and admit that I-F has finally become an ACTUAL discussion forum where people are open minded enough to respect an adverse opinion!
P.P.S: And those who are going to come up with defensive answers like "if you don't like the show, don't watch it" or "please be patient, I am sure you will like the show" or "they did show Manvi's hair falling and her first chemo" or anything of the like, let me tell you first of all that I PAY my cable/internet connection bill, it is MY TV/PC, MY account on I-F and I have AS MUCH right to write what I feel as any of you do, since I am not using offensive language and also, my post is little about this show and more about its horrifying insensitivity towards cancer.
