What Jeevika wears is called a chura.

Punjabi newlywed women wear it.

When a punjabi girl is married, the bangles are put on her. Then she wears them for atleast 40 days after the marriage. She can wear them for longer, uptill 1 year if they want.
They are very symbolic

They're a symbol of marriage for the girl :) I have a friend who has those on 24/7..

You can wear them for 11 days too...or take them off the next day...it all depends on you whether you would like to follow tradition or not 😛

thats the original tradition
but now its changed

That makes sense because traditionally it's supposed to be one year and a quarter and back in the day, you practically had a kid straight after...so max it could take for your first child to be born would be that much.

These days some girls who get married a bit early don't have one for like five years Lololololol

lol..and i was preparing to answer :( haha jks...I think its a tradition to wear for a month or something..well thats what we punjabi's hav to do...and as far as I know the Vadheras r punjabi..right?
