why THOSE serials get high TRP - Page 3

As our country is slowly getting more and more progressive than before with more working women now,female lawmakers,etc, Indian tv serials are simultaneously getting more and more regressive.Worse,these so called mind baffling,logicless,extremely regressive shows which lack basic common sense are watched and appreciated by women mainly and not men!! These shows which show women to be meek,happily taking insults from anyone,without self respect,who never stand up for themselves but stand up for any xyz and who are too good natured that they appear to be foolish,are rewarded with high trps by women viewers only!!

Any serial heroine who has an ambition/goal in life,who is strong headed with self respect who wears whatever she wants,suddenly changes her entire personality after marriage and is shown to be having only one goal(to take care and always please her husband and family) is submissive and meek and eversuffering.Also she has to wear sarees after marriage. Salwar suits/western wear not allowed since they are not "sanskari".Wonder why no rule for men after marriage!!

No field/profession is ever researched in tellyworld. Businessmen only go for occasional meetings, pregnancy can be detected by feeling the pulse(ridiculous),historical shows take extreme creative liberties and do not bother to show correct history!!

But I still believe the norm of serials can be changed slowly even if it's at a snail's pace.Shows like 24 gained much appreciation. EHT (though drifting a bit towards saas-bahu but still much better than the rest) is slowly climbing the trp chart.

Because negativity,injustice to the female lead and sadism have the power to pull the viewers to the shows.

High trp serials show the female lead to be constantly insulted,plotted against.The lead also doesn't protest and bows down and never answers back.She silently accepts whatever is thrown at her way and silently suffers.This wins the lead, immense viewer sympathy.The viewer develops huge anxiety after watching the episode.This anxiety increases episode after episode as the number of insults increase.The viewer gets depressed but still watches the show out of anxiety,curiosity and out of hope for the female lead to get justice and for the exposure of the vamp.Thus trps don't fall.This hope turns into immense desire of the viewer and she desperately hopes to see the vamp exposed.Finally after many episodes when the vamp is exposed/punished,the viewer gets a lot of happiness and relief and the trps shoot up.Some positive episodes are shown and then the negativity and viewer anxiety again start.This is a vicious cycle in which the viewer is trapped.

EHT doesn't involve that amount of negativity.

if all stop watching those serials automatically ppl will stop making those kind of series but it will take a lot of time

They need mirch n masala n the once bland taste shows are so not their cup of tea😆

i know teenagers and even girls from 20 to 30, are in aweee of such heroes, provided the hero is breath taking ly handsome.. no matter hero is mannerless, even in EHT girls have hots for shaurya😕

and talk abt changing his attitude and make him a gud guy

and another marketting strategy for girls cast a handsome actor and for boys a beautifull actress... girls will watch it because of the hero and vise versa for boys
