Reason 78: Future tense never ends and present tense never comes in his life .. He is always ... I will do this, I will do that .. ultimately he does NOTHING

God sometimes I feel this is because of a stupid wish of mine .. I was so bored with Hindi tv shows overcrowded with Angry Young "Heros" n Dumb bechari Damsels in Distress that I said I will start watching a Hindi show again when it will have a Strong Woman [Princess in shining Armor!!] will savie the Guy in DIstress ..

Result: The show I started watching got a man who takes a false name to get secret infos n leaves the "Real" phone number behind!! PHEW😲

So we hit a century !!Thanks everyone for their contribution :)

I guess now with every episode his annoying qualities increases by 5 atleast 😆.. Shall we try to hit double century? what say? 😉

@gil-99 We are not comparing Dev with Shaurya. Just by been all-time sacrificer or having good heart doesn't make him a good character. Dev's character is poorly sketched , Honestly there is no valid reason for him to be in show? All others atleast playing a role in the show. You tell me from the time he entered in the show what has he done?

-He failed to find Nitya, forget finding Nitya he couldn't even get a proper clue whether she is alive or not? Did he even try to acknowledge the hospital where was admitted or the person with whom's car Nitya collided ?

For his foolishness Payal suffered from another attack. Was he able to protect his Sunshine?

@bold absolutely true he lives in delusional world or rather he is from some other world where the person doesn't know about present tense 😳 Such words are not in his dictionary 😆

@violet perhaps first time in history of hindi shows & cinemas have observed such a thing 🤣🤣

a person who is good in heart is surrounded by a team of culprits and that is his family what u think he can do...i consider that character to be pathetic...even once nitya was in the same way and it took her for two years to change to durga and with the help of dayal she is doing everything now and even in that time she miserably failed and got married to Dev,instead of shaurya...

not one person on this thread has had anything nice to say abt shaurya..the fact tht shaurya is the worst kind of scum is known to all..in fact he is the piece of dirt tht if u find on ur shoe, u throw the shoe away..so do not reach such conclusion abt the posters on the thread..secondly, "beautiful"???? i wud like to know who on earth finds shaurya BEAUTIFUL...🤢 dev is annoying, his character has neither growth nor purpose, all he does is screw well made plans and add to troubles of the thakurs, and give us a headache, not to mention an impulse to throw sumthn at him..goodness of heart is another thing, and absolute stupidity is another.. there is no reason why a positive character has to be so abominally stupid and brain-dead..this stereotype bugs us..its not so difficult to understand if u look at our comments non-judgementally..

He is devil incarnate. Having issues with Dev doesn't mean one is a fan of Shaurya! What logic is this?

I like good people with brain. Like Dayal of initial days.

Apologist rants on basis of a rich orphan cannot explain each foolish action of Dev. That way even Sakshi can be rationalised that she was an orphan on streets and grew up in bad company blah blah. What is wrong, is wrong. No excuses.

People are requested to HAVE AND USE BRAIN.

And yes, everyone is NOT a Basher!

BTW to TM and other contributors - congratulations on completing a century! 🥳

I don't see why NOT being a fan of Dev automatically means that we are Shaurya's fans! We are not heartless or foolish. Shaurya is despicable and a sorry excuse of a human being, and we all know and recognize that.

The way I see it, the male protagonist is supposed to have a certain charisma and appeal. And intelligence. All these qualities are missing in Dev. He is always a liability to the heroine in her quest, and does nothing productive.That is why we dislike him immensely.

write 10000 words against Shaurya. Shaurya and Dev are not same person. Different they are and different are the reasons of dislike. I fail to understand why such a simple thing has to be said so many times.

Dislike Dev doesnt equal to like Shaurya. And yes its not the dialogues but the dialogue delivery and the action which is inversely proportional to these dialogues which I find annoying.

Why Sakshi ? Why are we not sorry for Akash Mehra ? He was not wrong. Durga actually is not the Durga he knows. He only failed to prove it.

He could have done wonders with the help of the Goenkas and he missed the opportunity. He was literally thrown out of India. WHy is no body talking about him but only babysitting only Dev baba ? WHy such double standards ?

I just wanted to staple Dev's lips together tonight. This fool is going to be in a huge trouble. I think Sakshi is going to kill Raima and frame Dev for it. Durga will get side-tracked saving this man-child and the wrong Mrs. Goyenka will get distracted from the plan. He has such a big mouth and such a small cerebral cortex! At this point Durga should just tell him everything, accuse him for Payal's attack and ask him to STFUP. Idiot kahika!

Bang on dear .. All characters have purpose except our Dev Babu.. Not only that he fails at everything he tries to do . He was not there for Nitya when she needed him. He thought Nitya diary will give him clue, if the dairy had all the clues then won't Durga had used it (assuming she is not Nitya) . Then wanting to help Payal, he gets her in trouble. Now his stupidity has got the lawyer killed and Raima seems to be next .. He believes that his family is hiding evidence but still he thinks they will stand there and let Raima tell him the secret .. How foolish .

I am not just criticizing hi.m am confused why CVs created his character this way ... How in Nitya/Durga supposed to fall in love with him .. The only thing going for him is his single minded desire to find Nitya.
