Her eyes. From the very first meeting it was her eyes that had haunted Dev. Her eyes had a distant look. What was in those eyes. Anger, pain well one thing he was sure of. They never showed any happiness. Her smile never reflected in her eyes. She was Durga Thakur daughter of Dr Dayal Thakur and had returned from US. A lady whom he had never met, yet he felt she was so close to him.
If it was the distant look that haunted him in the beginning as they become colleagues then friends it was her inability to look at him straight was what that puzzled him.
She never spoke looking at him, either she looked straight, looked down or turned away but never once she looked into his eyes. Why he thought. It was as if her eyes held a story for him to read. But he was clueless, what was the story she was trying to tell him. A story which she was unwilling to speak about, but her eyes were pleading him to read out.
Durga looked away once again. It was getting impossible. She wanted to bury the Nithya in her. But from the day Dev came back into her life Nithya was refusing to go. She spoke the language of Durga, but her eyes were refusing to speak that language whenever Dev was around. First even in her smile they reflected her anger towards him for his betrayal. Then when she smiled they showed the pain of not able to accept his love. And today while she was crying for Shaurya they were showing her guilt for hiding information from Dev.
She felt as if his eyes bore into her soul and were searching for information. Information of his Nithya which she was refusing to give him, but everytime he came her eyes were asking him to read.
Dev and Durga stood looking at each other. Durga once again trying desperately to hide the information in her eyes and Dev trying to read the same information from her eyes.
