So many of you have been dissing Dr Dayal in this forum so I just wanted to share this
my own dad, my blood, the one who basically made me abandoned me when I was 1 yrs old

and you guys really think Dayal is a bad guy and judge him because he cares for Durga more??

Ofcourse he will love her more, she looks like his very own daughter and yes blood indeed is thicker than water

I Mean if your daughter commits suicide and you feel guilty about it, then you meet a girl who looks exactly like your daughter and you are a very rich person and the girl needs help
wouldn't you have helped her? ask yourself and be honest

Dayal has basically adopted both of them however he likes Durga/Nitya more and another reason for that is Nitya is mentally not stable enough to talk/convrse so ofcourse we don't see them communicate as much as Dayal-Durga

Dayal has done everything in his part to care for these girls, these girls who are not his daughters or his responsibility, these girls who are not even his relatives,he didn't even knew them before the accident

Dayal is a better father than many real fathers in this cruel world

I am sorry for the problems you must have faced. Unfortunately the problem of parents abandoning their children is too common in this country.

Dayal is a better father than many others to girls who are not biologically his. The reason people are annoyed is because they want Durga to take Sakshi down and not get distracted by emotions, courtesy Dayal

Ayesha, first of all sorry to know about your personal life.

Coming back to the topic, we never said Dayal is a bad guy, did we ? We are only questioning his way of discouraging Durga. Besides, we have no idea what happened to real Durga. We only know she died and Dayal considers himself responsible. If he really was good father is a big question as of now.

Dayal lost his only daughter. When his car hit Nitya, he must have remembered his own daughter and therefore did everything to save the girl. So much was his good intentions that he gave her a new face- a face that belonged to his own daughter. He taught her everything about Durga, all her personal information. He also helped her in the so called revenge plan.

Then after sometime he forgot Nitya and Durga are two different people and accordingly have different ambtions in life. He calls her Durga all the time as if he wants to console himself that Durga is still alive. Basically, he has embodied Durga and Nitya in one body and refuses to believe that girl isn't his daughter. His love or care for Payal is biased. He cannot love Payal as much as he love Nitya. Nitya is his daughter's replacement and Payal is his daughter's best friend or best doll or whatever you may call it( It is to be taken as Payal is important to Durga but not Dayal .Payal is important because it is important to Durga not him). He cares for Payal, yes he does like he would have liked any of his patients. There is nothing so fatherly about it. There was only one tme when he was around Payal when Durga wasn't there and It was during the Ganguly track. If Durga was living in that Farm house instead of Payal, I bet there would have been better security arrangements. Its not that he has done it intentionally or anything. Its just that fatherly approach doesn't come naturally for Payal as it comes for Nitya.

Again this man is living in some kind of delusions and also want Durga to follow it. WIthout any reason or logic and evidence, he did give Dev a clean chit. He made Durga realise its time she should back off from the so called revenge plan. The initial character of Dayal wasn't like this. Remember Durga confronted Shaurya and later wanted to back off but Dayal made her realise the importance of her mission. Where is that Dayal now ?

The Indian television cannot live with romance. This show needed no Dev in first place but TRPs rules the hearts of millions. This brought the character of Dev in the show and thereafter everything changed. Each character had to be modified to induce a love story. Dayal all of a sudden started to like Dev. He was the one who encourage Dev- Payal meeting and he is also the one who wanted Durga to marry Dev inspite of knowing that Dev means Goenka and Goenka means Sakshi and Shaurya.

He is confused himself and also confusing others. He is definitely not a bad guy and not really a bad father. Being confused does n;t count as bad in any case . But his approach is not logical either and that's all we can say.

^^^ I really didn't get ur point ..y Dayal is not enough fatherly if he does like Dev.. He is quite an intelligent person .. The reason to hate Dev was the mail .. Durga definitely in that state of mind can't think about its authenticity but as a matured person there was always a window open for Dayal to think .. hacking a mail id and doing a mail is not a big deal for many then what is it to Goenkas? Dev's no action was supporting Durga's accusation .. her anger was justified but not logical .. definitely Dayal cud give him a benefit of doubt

2ndly this is funny to make Dayal responsible for Payal's tragedy .. Shakshi is too intelligent .. so its ok to not understand her plan for once .. they thought Payal is safe there .. Dayal may favor Durga more that doesn't make him a bad father for Payal ..

3rdly, Durga herself wants to be called as Durga .. when he gave her a new identity then I didn't get y not calling her Nitya makes him a delusional man

4thly Payal is Durga's doll ??!!!

Whatever ..I am not regular in this forum though I am watching the show from day 1 n I really didn't find anything wrong in Dayal .. Yes I agree where Dayal was more inspiring at beginning now he is not .. he asked Durga to quit .. It makes him less guide n more a father I guess .. I never found him to confusing about two different persona of his daughter n Durga .. his daughter as much we know was fun loving cute one where Durga is manipulative n determined ..

I still think Dayal is an awesome father and a wonderful human being

@TM sorry to hear your experience .. this is really sad .. n agree with you

I am also fine with Dr Dayal liking Dev. What was wrong in it. He didn't blindly trust Dev. He observed him, his nature and his instinct told he is a nice guy. Not the scheming one like other Goenka's. Is there any instance where Dev has proven Dr Dayal wrong in this assessment.
He didn't wanted Durga to go blind in her revenge and regret later. Maybe it has something to do with the death of his real daughter. A simple discussion would have solved the issue but it seems it boiled up and Durga died.
He didn't want to repeat the mistakes he did with Durga to this girl whom he has adopted. Is he wrong there.
Dayal allows Durga to wander around with the Goenka boys especially Shaurya knowing it is her mission. Do you think he was overly concerned as father forgetting her mission he would have allowed that.
Coming to marriage part. It was the only point I felt he thought like a father and not like a mentor or guide to Durga. Dayal didn't ask Durga to take Dev to Payal. It was Gautham who requested her.
Dr Dayal has done so much for Durga and Payal. He is not God, only a human and if he look at him from that perspective he has been quite a good Samaritan.

Point 1: Why I think liking Dev is irresponsible
Dayal liking for Dev is fine but liking Dev as his would - be son-in-law irks me a lot. The reason is already mentioned that at the end of the day, Dev is a Goenka.
In other thread started by Atominis about Dr. Dayal, I have explained why Dev- Durga or Durga- Neil or anyone else marriage is not possible at this moment. Its like inviting trouble for your daughter.

Point 2: 2ndly this is funny to make Dayal responsible for Payal's tragedy. No one is doing that. THe only funny thing here is that he owns a farm house but doesn't bother about a security system. Such houses do have alarm system that is suppose to act against the tresspassers. Besides, a security was ought to be there that could resist illegal entry. A wild gang was beating drums in front of a public property and literally found no resistance against the act.The gates were wide open inviting any one. You dont need Sakshi here in first place. Any local dacoit or robber could easily do the job for you. Besides, the doctor and the nurse didn't bother to inform Durga about the Dev's visit to the farm house. Its height of stupidity.

Point 3: The idea of making Nitya as Durga was revenge, It was not to fulfill his wish doing hte finest job of a father,'Kanyadaan'. He is only discouraging Durga lately." Ring Dev ke ungli oar honi chahiye". This is what he thinks right now. I wonder how marriage with anyone is a priority here.

Point 4: Durga's doll wasn't mean to insult the sisters or the characters. Dayal has profounf liking for Durga which he fails to show for Payal. Payal for him is important because it is important for Durga. payal keeps Durga happy and busy and so Payal keeps him happy too. This is a general trait of all parents and Dayal of course is no exception. His concern for Payal is communicated through Durga. Directly it makes no effect. In any case, I think calling her doll was offensive on my part for which I apologise. But thinking it other way, this proves Dayal believes Nitya is now Durga and all fatherly feelings are directed towards her. This is how Dayal is biased and delusional.

You are ought to have your poin of view and I have mine. My problem with most of the character is now that they have been modified to fit a love story. Suddenly, Dayal started to think like a father. Suddenly Sakshi has become stupid who doesn't know what is happening around her. Suddenly a good Goenka appears who is supposedly in love with Nitya but doesn't bother to contact her 2 years before but expets she has to alive. Suddenly. Rajnath doesn't speak about his Cancer project anymore. Suddenly, Kangana has become a sweet rich girl from being a spoilt brat. Its only Shaurya who is still a sick animal.

P.S: I never said Dayal is a bad man or a father. He is indeed a gentleman but unfortunately I was looking for a thriller . All this man can give me is either a love story or a family drama which I will not be able to appreciate much.

Simone in one of the videos said, 'Dr Dayal is the only purest character. Everyone is doing something or the other for a reason, whereas Dayal did so much for no reason.' Whatever he is doing are not his responsibilities and yet he is doing it.

Pyal is the only purest character here. Its only her who is suffering for reasons that do not concern her. Dayal's motive is not materialistic for sure but unlss we know what happened to his daughter we wont be able to understand his reason.

Dayal is not bad but BIASED.
There is no justification for bias. That too after he himself manipulated Nitya's face to feed his delusions.

He ignores Payal. He treats her like a patient. He has no emotion for her except sympathy.

He ignored her security.

He ignores why Durga wants justice. He belittled her tragedy when he wanted her to just go to US. He was stupid when he thought nothing would happen to girls if Durga married Dev and Goenkas won't interfere at all.

He sucks due to his confusion as he wants Durga to be Nitya yet wants her to forget everything and wants to direct her life as Durga.

He is confused as he himself fuelled revenge earlier but backed off in middle.

He confuses and weakens Durga. He first showed her locket and said he told her Dev wasn't bad but when she felt guilty he said it wasn't her fault! What is this?

He is not evil but delusional.

Oh and yeah I am sorry for your experience TM.

what u said is all crct

but i don't think they brought Dev character later

i read the article of the makers
it is all finite and already well planned script
there is Dev char right from the start and Bhuvnesh is in it may be for trps or as they followed 'Revenge' story
