I think they are going the revenge way with this track. Emily became and still is too obsessed with the need to demolish her enemies that she gets engaged and also marries their son (who was not slimy like Shaurya ).
The thing right now they are emphasizing is that Durga is all about revenge, she doesn't care for the means. Why it seems off here is because unlike Emily, Durga is not an expert fighter or manipulator. She doesn't have a reason or purpose which can convince us that her marrying Shaurya would help her in anyway. I find the balance of brains tilted more towards Sakshi. So it aggravates us as viewer that she is putting Payal and herself in danger. I mean, she knew there is a party and she didn't even think o fsorting a story about Neil and herself. Should we buy that a girl who is calculative and determined would make such a blunder.
Durga rather than making things happen is solely relying on Shaurya's mistakes while underestimating his unpredictability and his family support. Also unclear is her end-point. Is it confession or total annihilation. if the latter then why is she not targeting the financial might of the Goenkas.
Dayal is interesting but unlike Nolan from Revenge, he is not smart enough to have Durga's back or her her sort proper plans. His constant Dev jaap is irritating . Why would you want to marry your daughter to a guy who is dependent on Goenkas?
I think , they need to tighten up the story and focus more on Durga outsmarting Sakshi in a clever way rather than contriving mix they usually serve us.
Simone as Sakshi is stunningly good. And Rajnath is the main villain, he doesn't have any iota of emotion or regret , he would be most lethal.
Frankly the story is loosing pace and needs work on the character of Durga.
