Yesterday Durga's emotions after seeing Ganguly beating up his wife and daughter was superb. I mean for people like Durga who has a conscience though the immediate injustice affects them, when they see their actions affecting others adversely they feel weak.
Durga is not a girl ruthless like Sakshi to feel emotion less. That is what happens. When you go about taking revenge it takes a toll on your emotions. You really need a person like Dr Dayal to handle those. I mean the way he made Durga understand that these smaller pains are needed for the betterment of many people.
If she allows to go Ganguly free there will be more Nandini's. His wife would live an abused life. His daughter most probably will have to live the way he expects her to be. In a way he might as well decide to marry her of to Shaurya the rapist.
By exposing Ganguly Durga though will give pain for Sagarika and her mother in near future, they will be able to lead a better life without him as society would treat them with sympathy only.
More emotions are gonna play as Durga approaches each victim.

You put it very well
More than revenge, Durga wants justice for Payal.
And for this, she has to do so many things which Nitya would not have even dreamed off.

And when she saw Ganguly beat his wife and daughter, its natural for her to react like this.

@harinisriram39: Your post remind me of a famous dialogue from the show Mahabharata...

" Pratishod jisme samaj ki sammati ho, wo nyay kehlata hai"

I am glad you gave us the right word. Its'justice' she is looking for. SHe tried doing it legally, following the procedures laid down by the law. She was battered, her family was killed midway, her sister was forcibly sent to a mental hospital. Now since the lawful way is not working,
she is doing it the other way round but its still more of justice than revenge.

@ Shruti. She had conflicting emotions even during Avantika's case. She really felt for that girl. DUrga as a character is worth watching. She manages to remain calm while Goenkas are around, specially Shaurya. Shaurya not only raped Payal but was about to rape her only she had a narrow escape. I love the fact that strength here doesn't mean being heartless and having a heart doesn't mean stupidity. Hindi shows have protagonist who are good and stupid and antagonist who are strong and heartless. I am glad Durga is different.

To treat that guy as a friend gives me a creepy feeling. How are people expecting a love story, God only knows!!

@dey I didnt see Avantika's case. I started watching it from that Divya Bagchi escape time. yes I agree more than revenge it is justice. What Durga is seeking is justice for Payal. Yaa in MB during Geeta Gyaan Krishna tells Arjuna you need to know why and what you are fighting. It is not only for your personal victory or loss , it is for the betterment of society as a whole.

The process of getting justice is never easy.
Durga and her family have gone through hell.

Now all those who wronged Payal will have to pay for their sins. As they do so, their near and dear ones will also feel bad.
Durga is not cold and it is nice to see her humane side as she questions herself, sometimes feels like giving up and expresses regret if others get hurt. That is what differentiates her from Goenkas who just go about fulfilling motives selfishly without giving a thought about others.

She's named Durga but I see her often as Arjun who is guided by Krishna in form of Dr. Dayal.

You cannot always get emotional and start feeling that criminals have families too so we should spare them atleast for their families. When one does a bad deed he has to pay for it.

yes atominis I agree to you on Krishna-Arjuna part. Yes we cannot feel bad that criminals family will feel bad, because the victim's family has also suffered. One who does crime has to get punishment. And it is a fact that when someone gets punishment his near and dear ones will get affected.

In seeking justice for her sister Payal, Nitya tried all the proper channels and was thwarted at every turn.

Durga is sensitive and caring and that makes it even harder for her to see that her actions are hurting other people.

But she has to have the strength to realize that once the the "Rotten Apple" is removed from the society it will hurt for a while but in the end everyone will benefit.

This road to justice that she has taken is definitely hard but it is nice to see Dayal give her good and sound advice when she needs it the most.

It is good to see Durga keep her composure when with Shaurya and the Goenka's ,

I am sure seeing them enjoying their manipulated and bribed freedom gives her more impetuous to keep seeking justice to see that these cold blooded conscious less
people get what they deserve in the end.
