Part 4

A reminder of part 3:

Shravan goes silent for a minute. He then says: Sumo I chose this place because this is where I wronged you by publicly humiliating you without understanding you. I wanted to make amends and proclaim my love also to you in the same place.

Sumo understands how much he is hurt and pulls him by his shirt collar and places a kiss on his lips which tells him that she has forgotten all that and she has only love for him.

Part 4

She only wanted to kiss him to make him realize that let bygones be bygones. Let's enjoy the present and think about the future. But Shravan did not want to let it go that too when the kiss has been initiated by Sumo. He kisses her passionately and when Sumo moans he feels like he is in heaven. Both of them come up for air. Sumo blushes and looks down. Shravan is surprised.

Sh: Sumo.. Mujhe nahi patha tha ki thumhe sharmana bhi aatha hai! I never imagined that Sumo the wrestler will become Sumo the shy...

She whacks him and says: Can we continue with the dinner please?

They have a pleasant dinner talking about random things. They finally have their favourite kulfi from India Gate and reach home. Sumo is happy beyond words. He drops her at Tiwari killa and tells her: I'll come tomorrow morning and ask Nanu for your hand in marriage. Till then please don't tell anybody at home. I want to do this the right way because I messed it up the last time.

Sumo: What last time? What are you saying Shravan?

Sh: Why did I say last time? I don't know why I said that Sumo. Forget it. I shall see you tomorrow morning. He kisses on her forehead and says good night.

After he leaves she goes inside and tells everybody at home that Shravan has proposed to her but will come in the morning and talk to Nanu.

She goes to her room, lying on the bed she starts thinking. Why did Shravan say that he messed it up last time. May be it is his subconscious which is aware of all that has happened and is trying to throw up thoughts/words which are relevant to the situation. She keeps a reminder on her phone to talk to Doctor tomorrow about this.

The next day morning Shravan comes to tiwari killa.

Sh: Why am I feeling tensed? This is my home as well. I have frequented this house from my school days so why am I having a feeling of anxiety? Thinking so he goes straight to meet Nanaji. "Nanaji mujhe aapse ek baath karni hai. Mein Sumo se bahut pyaar kartha hoon. I would like to marry her.

Nanaji: I would like to talk to Ramnath and your family. Can you call them? I shall talk to them directly.

Shravan is tensed thinking why is Nanaji not accepting the marriage? He calls his dad and asks him to come over with the entire family. All of them come.

All of them are assembled in the living room of the Tiwaris. Nanaji tells Ramnath: Shravan tells me that he would like to marry Suman. So shall we fix on a date for the wedding?

Shravan's happiness is beyond measure. They fix on a date 10 days later. He is disappointed that he has to wait for 10 days to make her his. Nirmala watches all this happening from the stairs which go to Nanaji's room. (Imagine episode 58).

Pu: Sumo congrats yaar.

Kamini: Yeah kya Sumo Sumo laga rakha hai. Suman kitna accha naam hai. Don't call her Sumo anymore, start calling her Bhabhi.

This triggers off something in Shravan. He remembers:

Aditya: Suman I wanted to ask you something. What is this name Sumo? It sounds awful. You have such a nice name Suman but...

Sumo cut him short. Stop it Aditya. You have no right criticizing. That's a name given to me by someone special who is the most important person in my life.

Shravan remembers that during the time of Pushkar-Preeti's wedding he had come to meet Sumo and finds her talking with Aditya. He is pissed off and is about to return when he hears the above conversation.

After the Malhotras leave Sumo goes and meets Dr. Rajiv and tells about Shravan. The doctor is happy. He tells her that Shravan is getting memory flashes which is definitely an improvement. He advises her to follow the imagery technique, but it should be done subtly not harshly. This involves the use of familiar images/sounds to kindle Shravan's memory.

The next day sumo pulls out some photos from Pushkar-Preeti's wedding and decides to use them to revive Shravan's memory. She picks up the dance rehearsal pic and gets it printed along with a few others. She goes to MM and purposely leaves the photos lying near Shravan's room door. Shravan comes out of the room and finds the cover containing the photos. He goes through them and finds the dance rehearsal photo also with the others. He smiles looking at the photo but at the same time he finds that he does not look happy in the picture. He wonders...if both of us are dancing during Pushkar's sangeet why are we not happy? Both of us look like we have had a face off? What happened? Why am I not able to remember? Meanwhile Preeti comes there and asks for the photos.

Preeti: Sorry Shravan...these are mine. I want to upload these pics on my FB page and I have been looking for them. Thank you...

Shravan is lost in thought. Pushkar comes there and diverts Shravan by discussing on a case with him. The entire family is very careful that Shravan should be reminded of old happenings but not to give him stress in any manner. Hence the diversion by Pushkar. But the photo had managed to put in a doubt in Shravan's mind which will make him think later.
