The reason i'm hung up on the old HT is it's already hugely popular and with the show being aired in other languages, those viewers will notice the old one, against our new one.

Trending is about the number of tweets we send out at any given time as I'm told by technical experts.😆
So let's organize ourselves in groups and do it a specific time to have max impact, rather than randomly tweeting at our convenience.
Media!Media! Let's draw their attention to the cause. IMO, it's small websites they pick up these stuff first before the major news channels.

Trending depends on number of tweets at ant given time in a location. The location is an important factor in our case as we are spread out all over the world. Also I have seen that we are recommended to change the location to India but I am not sure if that makes a difference as I assume Twitter would use something else to determine where we are (like the IP) .

Next point, we should not trend on a festival , there will be too many movies releasing on Diwali in every language and there will be tweets about them and film contreversies and festival wishes by celebrities and related controversies, so we wont have impact.

So please take these factors into consideration before deciding on date and time.

People will anyway be busy on the festival day. IMO, we should start by this weekend and close beofer Diwali.
We did trend globally at one time. We've the numbers Nith, matter of roping in them in large numbers.
Yes, We can't cheat Twitter's analytic. changing location may not work. I think we can piggyback on the popular tags going around .
May be we should work out a time convenient for International viewers & Indians and go for it everyday.

Soup, We can just trend for an hour this Sunday for Season 2. I think we should just stick to one HT and use it.
even for 1/2 hr should do.
We can do this social experiment for New year 2.

Pros& cons of trending during Diwali.

People are normally in a giving mood during festivals and may be Sony folks might be more open to be influenced😆

Con- they are busy, can't be bothered with noise from fans.
Fandom is busy too.

National issues ko chodo. As long as programs are aired we've a right to demand.We're not a nation in mourning, let's go after guilty pleasures w.o feeling guilty about it.

we might all be in this for a long run. Sony will have a rethink in few weeks when the horses it's betting start falling down in TRP race.We can pitch in then too, around New year.
