@Puba Even though both Namik and Nikkita are very attached to ShraMan and EDKV and that is a very strong reason for him and her to say 'yes' for 2nd season if there will be any... But if she wouldn't be there, more than 50- 70% of us won't watch it if not 100%...There is no one here who can deny that anyone, anyone can play Shravan like Namik, better ka toh sawal hi nahi banta...Or anyone who would want to see an other face as Suman and Sumo... They can say whatever they want but jab they will any other face trying to copy Suman-Sumo style, they will cringe...Sony and Ph know that, so if any of them refuses, there is not going to be a 2nd season at all...

But guys what if they meant that EDKV is gonna star on some arabic channel... I always felt that maybe when it becomes a huge hit there, Sony and Ph will be forced to start the shoot again to give the channel who brought the right a better ending... Iss bahane we too will get to watch ShraMan, if not on tv, at least an online series...Who knows...

If Sony is so bothered about TRP's then let this be an online series since most of the fans are online kinds. Let them make crime, comedy and ghisa pita dramas for TRP Aunties

Why would you add more stress to ur already stressful life by watching all crappy shows. Infact when edkv resorted to pleasing so called trp audience is when things started to go downhill.

I honestly don't know avni 😕 . But there has to be some metric right ? How will the business know otherwise ? If not TRP something else.

And if you see on this forum many people are like me, after years we all have found good shows. Unfortunately, this "minority" doesn't directly contribute to TRP. It is kind of sick when you think about it. Quantity wins over quality, only TRP matters. How disgusting na ?

The one thing I don't understand is...TRPs did not play any role in this whole shut down fiasco. TRPs of this show have been pretty constant since the beginning. So clearly...other factors contributed to all this. Not that I have any interest in finding out the real reasons.

All I hope for is that somehow...the Indian telly industry realizes that it is time to change the way things work. Maybe a channel like Star Plus does not have any reason to change at the moment...coz they are still making shit loads of money airing pathetic crap. But channels like Sony should come up with alternative strategies to compete with Star Plus right? To me it just seems that they are happy and content with their sub par earnings and playing second fiddle to channels like Star Plus.

And man these channel people have no foresight. Right now ghar baithe bhabis contribute to TRPs by watching saas bahu banters coz they relate to it. But the youth??? You think young people will watch all this crap? No they won't. Most of my cousins in India do not watch any Indian TV shows...especially with the advent of the internet...and channels that air international TV shows...they stick to British and American dramas mostly...to them the shows on mainstream Indian channels are meant for their moms...and I can say this is the case with a large proportion of young people in cities. So somebody has to cater to the needs of this group of people right? 10-20 years down the line...this group is going to replace the current bhabis. And you think even at that point Star Plus will get away with churning out garbage? Nope!

Everything evolves with time...heck our genetic makeup also changes with time...so why can't the Indian telly industry freaking adapt to changing times?

This show yes, it was zara "hatke" in that respect also 😉
The youth do not watch these shows, very right. Not only the youth a majority of urban working women don't as well. Channels will never learn yaar. They have so much reach that they can bring about positive changes in the society but they will stick to regressive crap. I try to find a desi show, but beyond 30 episodes it is so tough, I go from watching the show to reading a WU and then slowly that goes away as well.
EKDV is unique in that respect but they should have ended it in 100 episodes, the charm and the magic would have remained.

Most f the people here are the bunch who are like "I don't watch TV!!". For me I don't like watching TV as I can't edit out the parts which I don't want to watch and ads are like a waste of time. I like to schedule my time of watching shows rather than watching them at a preset time. Who knows our and the future generation people might ban TV's completely!!

Don't think so...but we will get some good shows like ristha.conm,edkv...but supernatural...sagas-bahu...that's never changed...most Indian audiences love to watch those .shows...international audiences are minority n can't add any value in trp...😃

I actually think the industry is devolving, forget improvement it is going backward. The content of shows when there were fewer channels was much better. When there was only DD there were a lot of good shows like Udaan, Malgudi days, Talaash etc. They used to be weekly episodes only but there was quality in the story, it may not have been hi-fi sets or great costumes etc but the story was there and that is the essence. The stories have become so diluted over time and the content is not original anymore, they even don't copy good stuff.
Whatever !

It can be as the people on the set might have felt that she's the reason that the show is shutting down like how many fans of the show felt otherwise she would've clicked few pics to keep as memories.
