Didn't want anybody to feel hurt. But agar yeh tha aane wala track...toh I am so freaking glad they are ending everything. Beyond a point nothing can be resolved. Shraman have not only reached...but also crossed that line. So nobody in this bloody world could bring back the old EDKV charm.

Oh yes pls end this asap. I don't have it in me to watch another misunderstanding track. He says a beautiful track was lined up. Wth?

As I have said many times...the Indian telly industry is one unsustainable venture! Sab log yeh baat ko dekhte huye bhi undekha karte hai! Koi toh ho jo iss vicious cycle ko tode...koi toh kuch alag karne ki koshish kare!

Rekha,
What are the bittersweet memories?

I thought she was talking about this shut down phase.

Other than that, what bittersweet memories did we have as fans? The tracks have been pretty well written except for a bit that dragged, probably because they needed to fill in substance as the show was extended.

In what way did the tweet indicate that she was talking down to fandom?

And who is the fandom?

There are fans who watch it just for Namik the actor..fans who watch it for Nimik chemistry, fans who watch it for the love story...and fans who watch it as an overall great package!

Which fandom felt insulted by what she said? Because the comments are not applicable to the entire fandom.
For me, it simply meant ' Time to move on, guys.'..and I deeply appreciate that because she could have used this tweet to again look like the sacrificial lamb. I find Tarunima's tweets the most mature of the lot and I am so glad Namik supports her- I respect this guy more and more with each passing day! 👏

Such an apt post Rekha!

I feel whatever happened on twitter last night, It just made me love Namik all the more. Definitely this wasnt the best of the strategic moves from him but I think Namik doesnt function that way. He is very emotional and values his fans a lot and so when the same fans were on the wrong tangent he felt the need to clarify. I liked that he took a stand for his friend and also connected to fans on a personal level like we interact with him, as friends rather than stars-fans.

Having said that I still feel he is riding high on emotions, also seeing everyone hurt and upset around him, his colleagues and friends, it made him lose his composure which is pretty much understandable. Anyways It would have been best had he tried to dodge this scenario because sometimes its good to refrain as even fans atm are high on emotions.

Perceptions can't be justified on the basis of logic alone...In a way your next question proves the point. U asked who is the fandom...indeed who is the fandom. Frankly the fandom that went to the Sony office or the online audience that sent a million tweets or whatever the number was...do they count as consumers in the first place? Are we stakeholders in any way? Did any of us have a right to ask for what we did ...no frankly we didn't. Having a show on air is the Channel and/or PH prerogative...and that begs the question...why did u feel the channel let you down at some point like I do..(remember the mail i wrote on reading Dilip Jha's and Namik's Ig post) So, what kind of fan does that make u and me. An involved fan but also a fan that recognises the shortcomings in the medium. So, I was not very perturbed at not getting the story becos I know that things are not always as they seem. However, i am not blind to the point that the whole issue cannot be only only be the accountability of the channel even if u and I will agree that when shows like EDKV don't succeed, it means that there is not much manoeuvrability for the mediums to encourage such efforts beyond a point..If creativity and business cannot marry well...divorce is an option.

Chick, can u slot fandom...and have you messaging for types of fandom...No u can't..Let any medium come out and say...I like U as fan but I have rules for your behaviour...Believe me, i want to see that honesty. It is a self-censorship issue. Fans need to get that balance...but can a person who is at the receiving end say...I like only one type of a fan...Sorry...not possible...Even a Shah rukh Khan cannot tell his fans to get lost though him making a movie on Fan was perhaps his way of telling Jabra fans to get the point...😆

For me, it simply meant ' Time to move on, guys.'..and I deeply appreciate that because she could have used this tweet to again look like the sacrificial lamb. Chick...That is what I said...but saying time to move should be our call...something the viewer has to come to terms with. Tarunima was polite so she did not deserve any nasty tweets. But Yes As a viewer not even a fan...I have the right to tell her ...not Tarunima Verma the person but Tarunima the position she represented...Hey...just step back...we know the journey for what it is. Life cycle and all..very philosophical but untimely. just my personal view. I am a stickler for accountability for actions. So, in my book, if u can't be honest about accountability, the least u can do is just stay mum.

Mallika, I don't think it was loss of composure on his part..He was responding to the tweets aimed at a position not a person.Tarunima was not representing herself, she was representing a position she holds in the workplace. I don't think fans understood that aspect when they went hammer and tongs at her. The thing is Namik is very transparent as a person. In showbiz, i feel it becomes diffi to maintain that aspect..So if he can it consistently, he would be one of a kind...😊.

I was amused actually. When fans praise u to the skies...unfortunately they bring you down as well. Are they right to do it...ofc not. but tell that to a fan..😉 That was the tight rope Namik had to walk yesterday...He is intelligent, he will learn to do it like seasoned celebrities soon...

I am simply going to comment with a question here. I already have my answer, it's merely rhetorical...

Did anyone from the cast or crew take up for Nikita with such fervor when fans were asking for her replacement or when she was being bashed for her "self-obsessed" posts?

As for Namik, with every tweet of his I have only admired him more.
As a mother to teen aged children, it would be a matter of great pride to me if my kids grew up to portray as much maturity and graciousness in their social interactions as Namik consistently has done.

Why do they need to?
I don't think it's any of their place to comment neither it is the right time.
Concerned people can do that for themselves.

I know, a lot of fans have been expecting him to take stand for Nikita.
I fail to understand why?
He is not a spokesperson or Pr manager for the cast or PH.
He need not speak in favor of anyone.
It is already a controversial situation.

Still, he did for Tarunina , more because of the position she represents as Rekha said.

Though I would rather if he had not.
