Shravan wanted to hurt Nirmala and Adi as badly as he could. He did not even take time to consider the result of his actions. He was so focussed in causing pain and reacting to all the prodding by Adi that he did not pause to consider the effect on Sumo.
I think after the fight, as per the spoilers Shravan will be consumed by guilt. This will be further intensified by the fact that Sumon will be grateful to him for saving her from Adi. Later when the truth becomes known then we will see the family pressure, the forced marriage and Sumo who will have lost trust in Shravan. Sumo will not be able to resist the family pressure. Remember how upset the family was in seeing Preeti hugging Pushkar. This would be worse by far. How will Sumo forgive Shravan for causing her to look bad in front of her family and causing disappointment to Nanu. Shravan has already told her what he thinks a woman's place is. She now has no reason to believe he thinks anything else. Shravan's actions were really low and now he will have to deal with the consequences. I don't think even Ramnath will support this. Remember a long time ago when Khosla's pictures had come out, Ramnath had cautioned Shravan to be careful of Sumo's reputation. I think he will feel honour bound to consent to marriage between Sumo and Shravan.
