Welcome to the forum. Liked reading your sensible post, which was not Aditya hating, but more focused on the story.

I dont understand this irrational hatred for Aditya's character. I have said and will say again...the problems between ShraMan was not created by Aditya. He exacerbated it. There were so many issues even before he came on the scene. HIS entry was done in a moment that Shravan left Suman's side. Abandoned her before their dance. Aditya took his place and completed the dance. That was symbolism. A indication of the future. A hint that it will be Shravan's "self imposed" vacating of his position that will create a space for Aditya.

The ONLY reason Suman said yes to the marriage proposal is because she believes that Shravan has kicked her out of his life. She has lost faith in their chance of being together. Despite Ramnath's blackmail and manipulations, she STILL said to herself that the day Shravan tells her how he feels, will be the day she leaves ALL behind for him. That day would have come too, but Shravan's mind has been so warped and circumstances as well as manipulations worked to make sure that didnt happen.

Now the only way to make sure that Aditya does not become the "stand in" like he did at the dance, is for Shravan to claim HIS place next to Suman. She was always his. He just has to CLAIM her. His father, his own insecurities and circumstances all prevented it. But the ONLY way to not lose her is to stake his claim, and I hope he does it soon! Because in love, a pause can mean you lose!

Shravan has abandonment issues. His mother abandoned him, and on the face of it Suman also did the same. So there stems his victimisation problem . The whole shell he has created for himself, and the blinders that Ramnath has put on since childhood leads to multiple issues which are being the barrier .
But he needs to really introspect as you said n check out where he is going wrong instead of taking convenient blame route.

I agree with this part of your statement completely but what we face in adolescence, shapes us to a great extent. It will take and external help along with his own efforts to change this behavioural issue.

Nirmala is pathetic in terms she pushed for rishta inspire of being aware of how much shravan is dependent on suman emotionally. 😕

I however, do not agree with you on this. Sharavan being best buddy with Suman need not mean she can never marry anyone in her life. Suman never told her about her feelings and we have to remember that Nirmala has observed Suman and Shravan only for a few days and that too dealing with her own issues. It is obvious to us that they love each other but she is not privy to this in the show. She did not exactly force it on Suman. Suman has always been known as outspoken person who will speak her mind and Nirmala has no reason to assume otherwise when she agreed to marry.

@ Bold: Word to everything you said. I dont understand why people say that Nirmala should think of Shravan's possessiveness of his friends before agrees to alliance of AD-Suman? What has that got to do with the price of milk? Is Nirmala supposed to assume that Suman cannot marry anyone because Shravan is her close friend? If I am not wrong, when she first came to Delhi and was hiding and watching Shravan at Tiwari Killa, Shravan was teasing Suman about some marriage proposal that she got? Jeevan or something?

After seeing that, why would Nirmala assume that Shravan will hate the thought of Suman's marriage? Yes the guy is related to Nirmala which he will hate, but she has no reason to think anything more of it. The question will be what will she do when she DOES find out about Shravan's feelings? Will she not give a damn like Ramnath, or will she actually care? THAT will be the litmus test! Which son's happiness will she choose? Her biological son? Or her adopted son? Can she even choose? Only time will tell.

That was one brilliant analytic take 👏. So yea, the whole climax of Shravan going below the belt in his venting mode, was one of the big reasons she has succumbed to Nanu's demand, and as I said he is potential good rishta wherein she couldnt have denied except for proper reasoning.

So the whole game will turn only when Shravan takes it upon himself to clear the mess and take things in his own hand. But considering the levels the show had achieved initially in terms of quality initially, it would be great to see the whole thing in a non cliche way i.e. not the overhearing and stuff like that but him going all lawyer about it.

Aditya is just a small cog in the wheel and a catalyst to the "Ek duje k Vaste" saga, nobody to spew hatred on!! No clue, why people get so sentimental over a third wheel.

I absolutely agree with both of you in here and I believe I got biased. Friendship is not a deemed relationship, is what every friends try to explain on the top of their voice and the whole concept of ladka ladki dost nai ho sakte is definitely archaic thought which has no relevance and with that note, nobody would assume the friendship has turned deeper and beyond platonic, and that was the beauty of how their bond was never questioned by anyone around.

The main turning point will definitely be Nirmala-Aditya relationship.Shravan is definitely gonna hate Aditya more for getting every happiness which escapes him. And Nirmala would be in catch 22 situation on which side to be on.

I am a new member in here wishing to contribute to forum activities till AD permits.

Have been watching the show from its inception and would like to add in few cents of mine to today's episode.

I dint find it drab but found it as something that finally takes the story forward. So, the current hopes are all pined on Preeti (hence Pushkar), Kamini, and Ramnath.

  • Preeti: She is absolutely unhappy that her marriage is a part of deal that has her sister as the sacrificial goat.
  • Pushkar: Preeti has lived her life always on her own term, with her own view and her guilt and nature is definitely gonna play a huge role in her telling it off to pushkar and who again could be playing a major role with the revelation.
  • Kamini: The whole purpose of her character is sabotaging Ramnath's plan and make Shraman a couple. Iif she doesnt do it,she might as well have a role as inconsequential as Vandy.
  • Ramnath: Wishful thinking that he gets heard while gloating or adi being nirmala's son gets to his ego and he cant let her win.😆

Nanu has been the catalyst to change but his current traits doesnt go well with his characterisation. He is an astute lawyer with a command over analysis and reading people. He has deliberately taken a blindfold with regard to marriage, inspite of him being able to see that she is unhappy. He uses his lawyer skills to T while coercion, wherein one minute her opinion matters, but the next sentence is an emotional blackmail by using happiness and health card.

Nirmala has been an absolute disappointment🤢, while Aditya, despite of dislike for his being haddi, I enjoy his characterisation as he is anti-thesis to shravan. His go-getter attitude stands out and it somehow seemed today that he could see Suman being unhappy about it but wants to garb it under the guise of shyness for his personal satisfaction. He could be "Aman" to "Rahul-Anjali" here😛.

Last but not anyways least, Shravan, how much ever he pretends to hate and spew hatred, his existence revolves around his "sun" Suman. He gravitates around her naturally. Whoever he is in conversation with or how far he stands off, his focus remains on her irrespectively and her absence makes his heart go wild and irritated. I would like makers to focus on his character more, instead of making Suman the lead and him just another male lead.

P.S I dunno understand why he thinks Suman used him, infact its good that she dint take his help otherwise it would have been a point against her. I hate the whole concept of guys cribbing of how they got used everytime they suffer a setback in a relationship. Suman and him have been equally at fault for their relation in going haywire+ external force, so why the thought!!!

😃

Regarding why he thinks she used him is that he feels she takes his help (pretending she doesnt) whenever she does until she found a new bakara 😆

Welcome 🤗
Hope you enjoy here.
Sorry for the late unress have been caught up with stuff.
Coming up to your post I must say its great, keep them coming.

No matter what happens Shravan won't hate her,she is that integral part of him which forms him,a part without which he is nothing so yaa thats what she is to him.

About him still thinking she used him is because that's not the adult Shravan speaking but the young teen Shravan who felt used by her,who had felt dejected in love and there was a return of going Shravan this time in the adult Shravan because if you match the dots Shravan Malhotra was again deeply in love with Sumo and she again like the old days ignored him and got back to Aditya!
I hope I made sense.

-Mitali

Hii Mitali,

Thank you for the welcome 🤗.
Your point does make sense, in terms of old wounds getting scraped is what is leading to more noise instead of the current hurt. But the hurt has to come out in entirety instead of thrashing in parts otherwise it is taking over his mind and thinking abilities and widening the gap between him n Suman.
This also highlights on the base which i have heard most of guy friends use as soon as their relationship gets over or are in the low phase, its majorly how the girl used them, which in most case is just an excuse to not take any blame upon themselves and self pity.

Yes he has abandonment issues. There's still that teenage boy who was rejected by both his mother and best friend and that hurt still lingers inside him. If only this issue was discussed between the two 'best-friends'. While Sumo was thinking that making him meet his mother would heal him, they never addressed his insecurities regarding her. The Cvs could have shown us something of that sort. That IMO would have been the perfect reunion of two best friends.
Since Shravan never let Sumo see his insecurities, she never thought that she needed to reassure him regarding his importance in her life which in turn led to more insecurities, angst n whole lot of misunderstandings to crop up inside Mr. Malhotra.
N between his lashings n her avoiding him n making deals with his father she never saw how hurt he was. While he all thanks to his anger n insecurities never tried to think rationally about what was going wrong and why. (Even if he did Sumo would avoid it or make him more angry and the vicious cycle would continue)
I seem to be in a rambling mode😆

@bold:its not about Shravan being dependent on Sumo...she's pushing on the proposal at a time when the poor girl is living under the fear of losing her lifelong support. Is this the time to make such big decisions... One look at Sumo n any sane person would realize that she's not in a state to think about such things.
