To be honest, I really think Shravan's attempt at suucide will come after he comes to know of the memory box's existence. I think Preethy will deliver it aomehow. But by the time he realizes his folly, it will be too late and Suman would have accepted the offer of marriage under duress and will be obliged to stick by her word. That is until, she realizes that Shravan attempted to end his life. This way 2 things will come into play - Shravan would have forced her into a corner, compelling her to accept Adi's hand in marriage. 2) Shravan, in the deepest gallows of agony, will attempt to end his life and at that time no promise (to Adi or Nanu or Ramnath) and no external influence (person) will be able to stop her from going to Shravan and claiming him for hers.

And this way, they will keep multiple tracks still open to explore.
