Right now, my brain in its craziest avatar; overdoing the thinking'. So, maybe you would just laugh it off; or laugh out loud.
Shravan is a lawyer; not yet a judge (of a situation) - call it experience - is that what is causing the situation which we read as brain-dead?
A lawyer sticks to his argument - defends his side - reads the proof presented - twists them to suit the case to defend - is this not what Shravan is doing. The trouble is he is defending the wrong side; much against his heart which is crying to be different. He is fighting hard to defend what he thinks is right in his head; and not allowing a counter argument to happen which will bring forth the truth.
World is the colour of one's viewing glass - and Shravan's is now a tinted vision (courtesy - the parents). He is seeing what he wants' to see - as instructed by his mind. So, the hug doesn't register; the S' doesn't shout out. Unfortunately, he hears only the words which are said - and Sumo (given her situation) is using all the incorrect words (and sometimes the wrong actions too). A case of clinging tightly to pre-conceived notions; and every shackle he has needs to be brutally shaken off - and this can be done mostly by an external force, than he himself. So, to me, Sumo is the saviour, who is caught in playing promise, promise'.
So, unlike my earlier view that Shravan needs his lawyer robe back, that he unceremoniously discarded - I am now thinking, does he need to shrug off the lawyer in him with head full of notions, to see the truth? Convoluted - I know; am talking while thinking. Aaah!
