--------------------------
You have always been my guide, my compass, the pillar of my strength, my mentor and presumably the best teacher I have ever had. You have led me towards my dream. You have made the path easier for me and always protected me from the odds. When the whole world seemed to be against me; you were there always; holding my back and supporting me. You have respected me much more than anyone else did. You have praised me and also corrected my mistakes. You have given me experience when I was inexperienced. You have encouraged me to live life fully; to be confident. You have taught me to get a grip on myself whenever Ibroke down but then you were there to hold me, to ease my pain and give me strength. You have always been a great companion and you have always stood beside me in every battle of mine. You have stolen my heartMr. Malhotra and I hate you for that. I just hate you. But then I love you madly. And I will always love you till we live and if there is a life after death I will love you then too; only you. You are my best friend, my greatest support, my biggest comfort, my strongest motivation, my truest smile and my deepest love. You are the doctor to my wounds, friend to my sorrows, mentor to my dilemmas, teacher to my actions and companion to my joys. You are the best life partner any girl could ever ask for. In every step of life, you have made me realise what a real man is, how a real man behaves, how he treats the girl in his life with respect, love, affection, security, protection and guidance. I love you. You are truly an ideal man-my ideal man. And I love you. I love you. Happy birthday. This is the most special day in my life as the most special person of my life came to this earth on this day to join me in the journey of life and make my life heavenly with his wonderfully mesmerising love. Happy birthday handsome.
Shravan had tears in his eyes accompanied with a sweet, charming smile on his lips as he
read the letter written by his beloved wife Suman, his Sumo. It was his birthday and Suman had kept the letter along with the gift. The letter where she confessed her true feelings ever so sweetly for her beloved husband. Shravan turned around as he felt feathery smooth hands wrapping him from behind. Suman looked at him alarmed "Why are you crying Shravan? What's wrong?" Shravan didn't reply. Instead, he enveloped her within his arms. Suman grazed his hair with her fingers "Shravan you are
scaring me. What is it? Please tell me." Shravan reluctantly broke the hug and cupping her face, joined his forehead with hers.
"This is the best gift I have ever had. Thank you Sumo. Thank you for coming into my life. You have made me live in heaven."
He kneeled down in front of her and placed a soft kiss on the back of her hand.
"What is it about you Mrs. Malhotra that compels me to fall deeper and deeper in love with you?"
Suman too kneeled down and
squeezed his hand.
"It's our love Shravan. And it will never fade. I love you my QutubMinar."
"I love you too Sumo."
"I know."
Suman giggled as Shravan pecked her lips.
"I love that sound Mrs. Malhotra. You are totally irresistible when you giggle."
"Is that so Mr. Malhotra?"
Shravan nodded and Suman pulled him up.
"Have you opened the gift?"
"I wanted to open it in front of you."
Suman smiled and Shravan started unwrapping the gift. When he finally got rid of the wrapping paper, a box was revealed. He furrowed his brows as he noticed 'Memory Box' written on it. His eyes flew back to Suman who just gestured to open it. Shravan held the box delicately and opened it. Indeed it was full of memories. Each and every moment they shared was captured as beautiful memories in it. Shravan froze for a moment. The young Shravan was wrong all along. He thought that his Sumo ignored him while actually he had the same place in her life just as she had in his. Shravan looked at his wife who gave him a meaningful smile.
"You remember Shravan? Once
you said that I was the centre of your universe. Well the same goes for you as you are the centre of my universe. And it is a fact which will never change. No matter what."
Shravan didn't blink. He forgot to breathe. And then like a lighting he pulled her close and caressed her cheek; giving her an ardent look
"I love you Mrs. Malhotra."
"And I you Mr. Malhotra."
Shravan beamed as he held her tight and sealed her lips in apassionate kiss.
