Another angle to Lalaji and chachi conversation maybe Lalaji was hinting at Ramnath and Nirmala ego issues which destroyed their life which he has seen first hand ( even thought Shravan attributed the issue in hand with Suman )

Maybe there would be a flash back when Shravan comes to know of the truth and realizes what Lalaji actually meant.
