Everything Is Fair In Love And Law
Suman confidently entered Ramnath's office, her head held high and no worry or fear. One of the many things that she was damn sure of, was Shravan's love. She was sure he loved him , now that he'd confessed to her dramatically, in a heat of argument. That tiny confession had boosted oodles of confidence inside her. If Ramnath was playing a game, why couldn't she?
She pushed the glass door with flamboyance.
"Ram Uncle mujhe aapse baat karni hai", she spoke outright.
Ramnath was bewildered for a second.
"Come... in"
"So how's work going on?", She asked, sitting on the chair.
"Cough! Ahem! Your reason to visit me?"
A wide smile formed on her face.
"Aree Uncle! My sister Preeti is marrying Pushkar and you still need a reason for me to visit you?!", She said chirpyly.
"Suman do you think it's fun? I've work"
"But I supposed you'd retired... And SHRAVAN manages this firm", she blushed on his name.
"What joke is this???!", He barked.
"Joke... Humph! Joke was being done with me, Uncle. But no more. Let's come straight to the point. The Deal is cancelled. I, Suman Tiwari, thereby call off our understanding and talks. Because my love isn't to sell off."
"What nonsense is this? Have you forgotten on how I can..."
"Now now now! Before you enlighten me on what all you can do, let me enlighten you on what you CANNOT do"
"I didn't understand"
"You will, Ram Uncle"
"Let me assume I'll tell Shravan that I love him too, I've loved him ever since he left for London and how much I've waited for him always... So he'll marry me right?"
"Bakwaas!"
"Wait a minute! I haven't finished! So I was telling that I'm your most likely future Bahu, you want it or no. IF at all I get married to him, I'll be a share in this firm", she rolled her eyes around the cabin and finally saw Ramnath's wide open mouth.
"And if I get a share, I'll get hold over your property ALSO... You get it naa?"
Ramnath shook his head.
"Ugh! I mean I'll be a partner in this. I can control your house, your land and your SON too. In no time, I can pull down the curtain over your past with Nirmala aunty. I know the truth Uncle. And I have proof. Then your beloved son will kick you out of his house, his heart and this office too. What say? Still you think you've an upper hand? You being a lawyer, are capable to understand this, isn't it?"
Ramnath couldn't say anything. He couldn't imagine someone manipulating him so badly. He fumbled and drank water.
"So uncle , do you still think I need your permission and consent for Preeti and Pushkar's marriage? For the time, I think I'm good enough to BLACKMAIL you to give in, or you know what'll happen next"
She picked up her bag and was about to leave when she said -
"Hope that you take a good decision"

Sometimes our weakness lies in giving in to the bad. And Love gives you the power to overcome it. Also, it's a known fact that Loha Lohe Ko Kaatata Hai
Manipulation needs a similar trick to be overcomed. And then tricking a trickster isn't being evil, is it?😉😉
